Facing Aaron's intense stare, Susanna coughed and said, "What are you looking at? Got a problem?"
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Aaron sounded a bit hurt.
Elaine shouted, "Susanna, stop pretending. The manager of Velvet Sky Ballroom Hotel is here to expose you."
Susanna looked up and saw the acting general manager approaching.
She frowned. She'd already ordered this guy to be fired. Why was he still here?
Velvet Sky Ballroom Hotel had principles, and they didn't need people like him working there.
Elaine said smugly, "This is the new general manager of Velvet Sky Ballroom. As a senior exec, he must have met the owner. But when he greeted us, he didn't acknowledge Susanna at all. Now he can expose her lies."
The acting general manager walked over with a worried look, cautiously glancing at Susanna, not knowing how to plead.
He didn't expect Susanna to be the big boss behind the scenes, realizing he'd messed up big time in front of her. Now he was told to resign, but he really couldn't afford to lose this job. So, after much thought, he decided to come and plead, hoping to stay at Velvet Sky Ballroom Hotel.
Vivian also saw the acting general manager and smiled, "We need you to tell us if Susanna is really the owner of Velvet Sky Ballroom. This is your investment banquet, and having an impostor would look bad."
Maud chimed in, "That's right. Someone impersonating the owner at today's banquet would hurt your company. We need you to explain this."
Aaron immediately said coldly, "What needs to be explained?"
He felt no explanation was needed; Susanna was the owner of Velvet Sky Ballroom.
Elaine said unwillingly, "You can't just cover for Susanna when she's lying. Aren't you about to collaborate with Velvet Sky Ballroom? What if an impostor deceives you and you lose everything?"
Aaron said, "If it's her, then even if I lose everything, it doesn't matter."
Elaine exclaimed, "Are you nuts? Susanna's a fraud."
Susanna looked up at Aaron, also wondering if he had lost his mind, saying he'd be willing to lose everything even if she deceived him.
Vivian added, "Being so lenient with her is actually bad for her. Her lies could be exposed at any time. You wouldn't want people saying your ex-wife is a liar, right?"
Aaron shot a cold glare, "Who said she's a liar? I believe what she just said. She is the owner of Velvet Sky Ballroom."
Maud immediately chimed in, "I think you've been duped. How can you believe her so easily? The owner of Velvet Sky Ballroom has never shown their face. Just because Susanna says she's the owner doesn't mean she is. She can't even prove it."
Elaine added fuel to the fire, "Yeah, the general manager didn't acknowledge her as the owner just now. Doesn't that tell you something?"
"Shut up. Who told you to talk like that?" Aaron was furious, his eyes full of rage, scaring Elaine into silence.
He turned to the acting general manager, "Since everyone wants you to explain, why don't you say something? Honestly, I doubt someone like you even knows the owner, so there's no need for you to hold this position."
Susanna raised an eyebrow. Aaron seemed to understand her well because she had just called to fire this guy.
The acting general manager's face turned even more awkward at Aaron's words. He took a deep breath and approached Susanna.
Vivian excitedly said, "Hurry up and tell us, is Susanna the owner behind the scenes?"
He better mock Susanna a bit. That would be great. Why should Susanna be better at everything?
The acting general manager directly bowed, startling Susanna, who quickly stepped back, "What are you doing?"
The acting general manager, with a crying tone, said, "I didn't know you were the owner. I was rude earlier, but I really can't lose this job. Please forgive me this time."
Susanna was momentarily at a loss for words.

"What? Susanna is really the owner of Velvet Sky Ballroom?"
