Chapter 422 The One Courting Death Is Clearly You

Susanna strolled down the hallway and spotted some dude pinning a girl down, yelling, "I told you, if you don't wanna get hurt, you better behave, or I'll mess you up!"

Susanna instantly knew who he was. Wasn't this the rich guy Aaron mentioned?

How dare he pull this crap at her party! Dude must have a death wish!

Susanna shot him a cold glare, "Mr. Ashton, what the hell are you doing?"

Aiden froze. He glanced at Susanna and sneered, "Mind your own business, or you'll be next!"

Then he just ignored her and kept bullying the girl.

Aaron stormed over and kicked Aiden to the ground.

Susanna grabbed a fire extinguisher from the hallway and swung it at Aiden, aiming right for his legs.

Aiden screamed in pain, "Susanna, you're looking for trouble!"

Susanna tossed the extinguisher aside and glared at him, "The one looking for trouble is you."

Just then, Aiden's bodyguards heard the ruckus and rushed over.

Aiden, fuming, yelled, "What are you waiting for? Grab her! I'm gonna teach her a lesson today."

Susanna eyed the bodyguards and said, "If you don't wanna die here, take him and scram!"

The bodyguards, not wanting any part of this, quickly dragged Aiden out of the party.

Still fuming, Susanna walked over to the girl, "You okay? Need me to call the cops?"

The girl, all curled up and bruised, nodded tearfully, "Thank you."

Susanna turned to Aaron, "Take off your jacket."

Aaron was about to when he saw more bodyguards approaching.

He looked at the head bodyguard, Sebastian, and said, "Give her your jacket."

Sebastian hesitated but quickly complied.

Susanna helped the girl put on the jacket, then told the bodyguard, "Take her to the hospital and call the cops."

"Yes, Ms. Jones."

After making sure the girl got into the car, Susanna headed back to the party, her face dark with anger. This incident could cause a major scandal if it got out.

She stopped and looked at Aaron, "Why didn't you take off your jacket when I asked?"

"I don't like other women wearing my clothes."

Susanna paused, "Then why did you offer me your jacket earlier?"

"You're my girl; it's different."

Susanna's expression turned awkward, "Who's your girl? We broke up on the plane."

She then turned to Marcus, who had just arrived, "Get the PR team on this, now. We can't afford any slip-ups."

Marcus hesitated, "If we wanna keep this quiet, maybe we shouldn't call the cops."

Susanna shot him down, "That girl is a victim. She wants to call the cops; it's her right. I'm not stopping her."

As a fellow woman, Susanna was definitely on the girl's side.

Aaron walked over, "Don't you think this is all a bit too convenient?"

Susanna turned to Aaron, "You think someone set this up?"

"Aiden, that hothead, getting physical with a woman at your party? If this leaks, it's gonna mess up your movie promo big time."

"Stuff like this has happened before. Some rich dudes just lose it."

Susanna started to wonder if this was all planned.

Aaron's voice dropped, "But who'd be crazy enough to mess with you on your big night?"

"Good point."

Susanna felt something was fishy too. She looked at Marcus, "Dig into Aiden's background and see who he's been hanging with lately."

Aiden had just come back to town and was already acting like a big shot, even bringing bodyguards while she was changing. Lucky Aaron was there to stop them.

Seemed like Aiden was someone's pawn.

Who was trying to screw her over?

After the party, Susanna, a bit tipsy, saw off the guests. No more drama, thank God.

She stepped outside in her high heels. The cool breeze made her head spin, and she stumbled a bit.

"Easy there."

Aaron's strong hand steadied her, guiding her to the car. He even opened the door and made sure she didn't bump her head.

Once inside, Susanna felt a bit better.

She glanced at Aaron. He was in his black bodyguard uniform, sleeves rolled up, showing off his strong arms.

She couldn't help but think of all the times she'd seen him in a sharp suit, looking all handsome and distant with those cold eyes.

Susanna clutched her chest, feeling uneasy, "Aaron, get away from me!"

Her voice echoed in the quiet car.

Aaron looked at her, surprised. She had her eyes closed but kept muttering for him to leave.

Was she drunk?

He draped his jacket over her, "I can't leave."

Susanna mumbled, "Get out of my head."

Aaron stayed silent.

He couldn't help but smile. So he was in her head?

He sat up straight and told the driver, "Drive, take her home."

Aaron's tone was calm, not at all like a bodyguard.

The driver nodded and glanced at Marcus in the front seat, "Where to?"

Marcus thought for a moment, "Harmony Hill Villa."

Taking her back to the Jones Villa wasn't a good idea right now.

If the Jones family saw Aaron, Susanna would be in hot water.

The car pulled up outside Harmony Hill Villa.

Aaron bent down and carried Susanna out. She seemed to be out cold, not even opening her eyes.

He carried her into the hall, noticing the villa's decor, which screamed her style.

Scarlett walked over, "Ms. Jones is drunk?"

Aaron, with a cold look, asked, "Where's her bedroom?"

"Upstairs, I'll show you."

Scarlett had never seen this bodyguard carrying Susanna before. He was handsome but had a serious vibe.

Marcus followed them upstairs, "Mr. Abbott, we're home now. You can put Ms. Jones down."

Aaron replied coolly, "No need. She's not heavy."
