Chapter 54 Playing the Full Game
Aaron immediately sat up, his voice becoming cold, "What happened?"
He had finally found a suitable doctor, and logically speaking, after coming over here, they would be able to arrange his grandmother's surgery quickly.
"There was a car accident on the way, and the person is still in the hospital being treated."
"I'm coming right away."
Aaron threw off the blanket and went to the closet.
Susanna, who was next to him, was also awakened by the noise. She heard Aaron's words, could it be that something happened with the company?
Soon, the well-dressed man walked out of the closet, his face not looking very good.
Susanna rubbed her eyes, "What's happening?"
Aaron paused for a moment, "Nothing major."
He didn't mention the doctor's situation and turned around to leave the marital villa.
Aaron rushed to the hospital as soon as possible. His assistant was waiting outside the emergency room and quickly reported some information to him: "Sir, the doctor is not in critical condition at the moment, but his right hand is broken. It is uncertain if he can return to the operating table in a short period of time."
Aaron's face looked grim. "How could this happen at such a crucial time?"
"We have investigated, and it was a car that ran a red light and accidentally hit the doctor's car."
Aaron pursed his lips. "Find another doctor."

On the other side, after Aaron left, Susanna slept for a while longer. Nowadays, she really enjoyed sleeping.
When she woke up, she yawned and went downstairs. "Taylor, what's for lunch?"
She was feeling a bit hungry.

Susanna quickly said, "Taylor, there's no need to rush. He's already busy with work. We can slowly do prenatal education before going to sleep."
After she finished speaking, Aaron turned and went upstairs.
After dinner, Susanna leaned against the bed and read about prenatal education by herself.
The man walked in from outside the door, casually took the book beside her, glanced at the content, and casually said, "Your acting is good."
Susanna pretended to be calm as she replied, "After all, you said acting should be realistic."
After putting the book aside, the man turned and went to the bathroom.

The man's phone vibrated a few times on the bedside table.
Susanna subconsciously glanced at it and saw that Erica was calling. Seeing the name of that bitch, she quickly averted her gaze.
No matter what Erica had with him, it had nothing to do with her.
She heard the sound of water in the bathroom stop, quickly pulled over the blanket, and pretended to be asleep.
Aaron walked out of the bathroom in a loose bathrobe. He picked up his phone and saw a missed call. His brows furrowed, indicating that he had no intention of returning the call.
However, the next second, he received a text message from Erica. After seeing the contents, he turned around and left the bedroom again.
Susanna noticed him leaving the bedroom and slowly opened her eyes, smirking ironically.
She touched her belly and quickly fell asleep after adjusting her mood.
The next day, Susanna went home to pack her things and get ready to enroll in school.
Madison was a little worried and held her hand, "Do you have to live on campus? I can cook delicious food for you every day if you come back."
"I'm not a child anymore. I can take care of myself."
Susanna definitely had to live on campus. Otherwise, if Madison found out that she was staying at the Abbotts at night, she would definitely worry. She might even spill the beans in front of Edward.
She didn't want to cause trouble for herself. Besides, her grandmother would undergo surgery in a week.
After finishing this week's play, she would be liberated.
When Susanna was ready to leave with her suitcase, Austin pushed the door and walked in. When he saw her suitcase in her hand, he finally understood, "Susanna, why didn't you tell us that you were starting school today? We could have come to send you off."
"Austin, you are usually very busy. I don't think it's a big deal, so I didn't tell you."
Austin took her suitcase and rubbed her hair, "Even if we're busy with work, we can still find time to send you to school. Let's go."
Susanna saw the dark circles under Austin's eyes, clearly from staying up late to do surgery and coming back to rest. She knew it was useless to refuse, so she could only arrive at school early, so that her brother could go back and rest.

Susanna sat in the passenger seat, "Austin, are you busy lately?"

Austin said while driving, "Susanna, go back and focus on your studies. Don't worry about work or tuition and living expenses."

Austin sighed. His sister was so mature and sensible that he felt like being an older brother had no effect.
Susanna looked at Austin in front of her and said, "Austin, I can handle it myself. You look like you haven't slept in days. Go back and rest well."
"Alright, but you should accept the money transfer. This is your back-to-school gift."
Susanna opened her phone and found that she had received six transfers from her brothers. She nodded helplessly and said, "Okay, thank you, Austin."
"Go on, I'll walk you in."
Austin watched as Susanna walked into the school, and then took out his phone to send a message in the group chat: [Susanna has gone to school.]
He saw several new messages from Erica on Facebook: [Austin, I heard that you have left the Red Cross overseas. Where are you?]
[Can we meet and talk, Austin?]
Austin glanced at Erica's messages and finally replied: [There are things that can't be discussed.] When Erica saw this reply, she was furious.
She angrily said, "I just don't understand. Austin is such a good person. He can do free surgeries for people who can't afford medical treatment on the roadside, but he refuses to help me with Grandma Abbott's surgery. Does Austin have grudges against me?"
