Chapter 410 Breaking Up Before Getting Off the Plane

Aaron shot back a quick reply: [Yep, that's right.]

Sam messaged: [Just got back from seeing Vivian at the hospital. She's got a nasty cut on her face. If she doesn't get it treated soon, it's gonna scar.]

Aaron replied, cool as ever: [Got it.]

Sam continued: [Did Susanna really do this? She messed up Vivian's face and wants to throw her in jail. After four years, she's like a whole new person.]

Sam had just found out from Maud that Nova was actually Susanna all along.

They'd been guessing about Nova's identity, but now it was confirmed for real.

Aaron glanced Susanna sitting in the front and typed calmly: [Vivian's gotta face the music. This was my call. I gave her a chance, and she blew it.]

[Honestly, this is a tough one. I never thought Vivian would pull something like this. She's not the same person I used to know.]

Sam was shocked that Vivian had secretly swapped out Lillian's life-saving bone marrow. He had his own beef with Vivian now.

Messing with a kid's treatment? That's just plain wrong.

Aaron didn't say much more, just told Sam to keep an eye on Maud and make sure Vivian and Maud didn't stir up more trouble.

Aaron went back to his seat and saw Susanna was already out cold.

Looking at her face, his expression got all complicated. He'd been searching for her all these years and didn't even know why. He just couldn't let her go.

Maybe, like Sam said, he'd fallen for Susanna four years ago but didn't realize it or didn't want to admit it.

Falling for someone doesn't need a reason; it can happen in a flash, and then she's the only one you see, the one for life.

Sam once asked him what made Susanna so special to him.

But now, thinking about it, Susanna didn't have anything particularly special. But who could be more special than the woman who stole his heart?

Susanna and Lillian, he wanted them both.

When Susanna woke up early, she felt the plane starting to descend, that weird weightless feeling kicking in.

But when she opened her eyes, she realized she was somehow sleeping in Aaron's arms. What the heck?

Sensing something, Susanna suddenly lifted her head and smacked into something, making her eyes water from the pain.

She heard Aaron's muffled groan, clearly in pain.

Holding her aching forehead, Susanna asked, "Aaron, why are you so close?"

Aaron, rubbing his bruised chin, looked down at her and said, "You leaned over yourself."

She leaned over herself?

Susanna hesitated for a moment and then shot back, "You're lying. I sleep like a rock. No way I leaned over to you."

Aaron looked at her and said, "You sure about that? We were married for years; don't you think I know how you sleep?"

Hearing Aaron's confident tone, Susanna felt a bit guilty. She'd been sleeping alone for years, and no one had ever said she slept poorly.

But admitting she had leaned over? No way, too embarrassing.

Susanna shot back, "That was then, this is now. I sleep like a baby now. You must've done it on purpose while I was out."

As long as she didn't admit it, it never happened!

While they were bickering, a flight attendant came over and kindly reminded them, "Ms. Jones, Mr. Abbott, we're about to land. Please put your seats upright and fasten your seatbelts."

When the flight attendant showed up, Susanna finally shut up, adjusted her seat, and buckled up.

Soon, the plane touched down at Novaria International Airport.

Seeing the familiar place, Susanna grabbed the box next to her, opened it to check the bone marrow, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After the plane stopped, Susanna glanced out the window and froze when she saw the people waiting for her.

She turned to Aaron and asked, "You sure you wanna get off with me?"

Susanna didn't expect her brothers to show up so fast.

But she knew if Aaron got off the plane with her, there'd definitely be a fight, and Aaron would be the one getting his butt kicked!

After all, this was Novaria, not the Abbott family's turf in Lindwell. Her brothers had hated the Abbott family for ages.

Aaron calmly organized the documents on the table and asked, "What's the problem with getting off with you?"

Susanna pointed out the window and said, "See that? My brothers are here. For your own safety, you better stay on the plane and come down after we leave."

Aaron saw the car parked on the tarmac and the few men standing by it, looking somewhat familiar.

Aaron squinted slightly and said, "You're my girlfriend now and my ex-wife before. Don't I deserve to meet your brothers?"

Seeing Aaron's confident look, Susanna paused and said, "Mr. Abbott, I was just joking when I said I was your girlfriend. Did you take it seriously?"

Aaron frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"

Susanna coughed a few times and said, "We're all adults here. Mr. Abbott, you must've heard playful remarks before. No need to spell it out. We all get it. Saying it out loud is pointless."

"Susanna, I never joke about feelings."

"Then just consider it a joke from me. Mr. Abbott, we were just having fun. If you took it seriously, that's on you."

Susanna felt some things had to be made clear now. Otherwise, if her brothers found out what she did in Lindwell, they'd definitely scold her.

So, she had to break up before getting off the plane!

But just as she finished speaking, Aaron seriously replied, "Susanna, I don't agree to break up. You have to take responsibility for me."

Responsibility? Did she hear that right?
