Chapter 103 What's Your Relationship with the Patient
Aaron narrowed his eyes slightly, surprised that he actually knew him.
He responded coldly, "Yes."
Dick was excited. "Hello, Aaron, I am the general manager of Epic Horizon Design Studio, I had the pleasure of meeting you at the H.F. International Design Competition."
Aaron narrowed his eyes slightly, showing off his sharped-feature. He was quite clear about his performance, after all, he had seen many men like him before.
He glanced at the bill in Dick's hand. "What relationship are you with the patient?"
Dick hurriedly replied, "She is an employee of my studio. She suddenly fainted, so I brought her to the hospital."
He was somewhat displeased, "Is the workload in your studio so heavy?"
"No, no, Susanna is an excellent employee recruited by paying much. She was the first place winner of H.F. International Design Competition, which you were present last time."
Aaron's expression was cold as he deliberately asked, "I remember now. What’s the relationship between you?"
Dick paused, not expecting the mighty President of Abbott's Group with high reputation to be so gossipy. He coughed and replied, "Let's put it this way, she could definitely become my girlfriend. Our relationship is developing quite well."
As soon as the words fell, Dick felt the temperature drop around him, and Aaron's expression became much colder. Dick wondered, 'Did he say something wrong?'
Aaron quickly returned to normal, but his eyes were deep and unreadable. Susanna had actually started to try dating other men.
At this moment, Dick quickly took out a business card from his pocket, "Aaron, here's my card. I hope we can collaborate in the future."
Aaron glanced at it and finally took the card, "Perhaps there will be an opportunity for collaboration."
"Really? That's great, I won't let you down."
A hint of joy revealed in Dick's eyes. If he could collaborate with the Abbott Group, wouldn't his studio soon prosper?
Aaron saw his greed, accepting the card calmly. He glanced in the direction of the emergency room, then turned and left the hospital.
Dick watched Aaron leaving excitedly, wondering if he is going to be lucky.
Shortly after, Erica emerged from the elevator, anxiously looking around for Aaron. She needed to explain things clearly.
Dick quickly approached her gentlemanly. "Are you looking for Aaron?"
Erica turned to see Dick, remembering him as the man who had taken Susanna to the emergency room just now. She gave him a meaningful look and asked, "Who are you?"
"Hello, Erica, I'm Dick, the general manager of Epic Horizon Design Studio. I just had a conversation with Aaron, and he went that way."
"Thank you."
Erica took the card handed to her, then glanced at the bill in Dick's hand, "Mr. Johnson, who did you accompany to the hospital, your girlfriend?"
Dick smiled. "It might be soon."
Erica's smile widened. "You're so outstanding, the girl you pursue will definitely agree. You should be more proactive and enthusiastic, keep it up."
"Thank you."
Dick watched Erica leave. Not only did he exchange cards with Aaron, but he also chatted with Miss Jones from the Jones family. Ambitious thoughts arose in his mind. Was his opportunity finally coming?
Only given a chance by the rich could he surely be successful.
Susanna waited in the ward for a while before Dick returned. She looked over. "Are there many people waiting in line?"
"Yes."
Dick concealed his excitement, not mentioning his encounter with Aaron to Susanna. He sat beside her, uttering, "Susanna, you have three brothers, one is a doctor, what about the other two?"
"Edward and Daniel live in Novaria. Edward works as a salesperson in a real estate company, and Daniel works in a law firm as an ordinary employee."
Dick nodded. "No wonder when Allison spread rumors and slandered you last time, that famous law firm in Novaria publicly issued a statement suing the rumor-monger. Your brother at that firm is definitely not an ordinary employee. Susanna, don't be modest."
"No, Daniel probably has a good relationship at the law firm, so his colleagues are willing to help."
Dick hid his deep thoughts. He felt that Susanna was still being modest. Anyone working at that law firm in Novaria was not ordinary, at least in terms of education and future prospects.
In that case, Susanna's family background was actually quite good, at least not too bad.
His studio would surely rise to greater heights if Susanna were to be with him in the future, along with title 'Master Susan'.
Dick felt a bit excited, as if he could already see his entrepreneurial success, becoming a successful person and returning to his hometown in triumph.
Shortly after, Austin returned to the emergency room, frowning. "Susanna, I have an emergency surgery to attend to, so I can't go back with you."
Dick spoke up, "I'll take Susanna back."
Austin agreed reluctantly. "Alright, just drive safely on the way."
Susanna also knew Austin's work was busy, and she was already feeling better, fully capable of going home alone.
She looked at Dick. "Actually, I can take a taxi back by myself. You've already spent so much time here."
"No trouble, I promised Austin, I can't be a person without integrity."
Seeing Dick's insistence, Susanna didn't refuse.
An hour later, they arrived outside the residential area. Dick glanced at the place. "Susanna, do you live here?"
How did he remember Susanna living in an old urban-rural area? That place was about to be compensated by the government.
"Yes, I just moved here recently."
"Susanna, you said you're not wealthy, but the housing prices here aren't cheap."
Since graduating and starting work, Dick still couldn't afford a house here, like the ones in front of him.
"Not really, didn't I win a million-dollar prize last time? My brothers lent me some money, so I could buy a small house."
Dick knew Susanna's brothers must have decent incomes, otherwise, how could they casually lend her millions to buy a house?
Dick's expression became even warmer, thinking of the condition like this. "Susanna, remember to message me when you get home, so I can rest assured."
"Sure, thank you for today. I'll buy you dinner later."
Dick waved his hand, watching Susanna enter the residential area. He took out his phone to check the housing prices in the area, already planning how to win Susanna over.
He pondered, 'She's an orphan, probably in need of love, right? If I care about her more, she would certainly agree to be my girlfriend…'
