Chapter 331 Is it possible that he is actually your ex-husband?

Susanna thought Abel's words were kinda off. She wondered if it had something to do with Sam, since Aaron and Sam were tight.

Switching gears, she shot back, "Do I gotta tell you why I'm digging into someone?"

"Nah, I'll check it out right now," Abel said.

After hanging up, Abel knew he couldn't let this slide and had to hit up Edward ASAP.

Without wasting a second, he called Edward and spilled everything that went down in Radiant Valley over the past few days.

Edward's face went pale when he heard Aaron's name. "What did you just say? The dude who saved Lillian at the airport was Aaron? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

Abel stuttered, "Because Ms. Jones didn't want me to, and the shrink said Ms. Jones should really interact with Aaron, saying it’d be good for her!"

"That's BS! Get Susanna and Lillian on a plane back here ASAP," Edward demanded, dead set on keeping Susanna away from Aaron!

Four years ago, if it wasn't for Aaron, Susanna wouldn't have lost the baby and almost died on the operating table! Edward would never forget that grudge.

He'd been going at it with the Abbott family's company for years, especially their Novaria operations under the Abbott Group.

Abel replied, struggling a bit, "There was a tsunami in Radiant Valley recently, and the storm's been raging. The airport's been shut for two days. No clue when it'll open again."

"Come hell or high water, you gotta get Susanna and Lillian back to me now!" Edward yelled, fuming.

He never thought Susanna would bump into Aaron in Radiant Valley.

Just then, Aviana walked into the CEO's office and saw Edward losing it. She asked, "What's up? Why are you so mad?"

"Susanna ran into Aaron in Radiant Valley," Edward repeated what Abel had just told him.

Aviana was just as shocked. Edward stood up and declared, "No, I gotta go there myself and make sure they get back safe."

"Honey, don't be rash. There's a tsunami near Radiant Valley. The weather's too bad for a chopper to go there," Aviana tried to reason with him.

"I'm not scared of danger!"

Aviana grabbed Edward. "You might not be, but what about Susanna and Lillian? She's still so young. Can you really risk it?"

Edward calmed down a bit, though he was still pissed. "But I can't just let her meet Aaron. Four years ago, Susanna almost died because of the Abbott family. You remember that, right?"

"I know, but Susanna's changed a lot. She's not the same person who could be easily pushed around," Aviana continued.

"But what if she remembers?"

"Honey, hypnosis is just a temporary fix. You can't keep the truth from Susanna forever. I think four years is enough time. Susanna meeting Aaron in Radiant Valley means fate wants them to meet. I believe Susanna will make the right call. Don't you trust her?"

Edward's face softened a lot. "Yeah, I trust her."

"Exactly. You know Lillian ran away to find her real dad. You can't keep her from it forever. You gotta learn to let go."

Edward was still a bit hesitant. He just didn't want Susanna to run into Aaron and make the same mistakes again!

After calming Edward down, Aviana quickly called Susanna. Without missing a beat, Susanna picked up, "Aviana, what's up? Everything okay?"

"Just checking in, Susanna. How are things in Radiant Valley with the storm and the airport being closed?" Aviana asked, sounding worried.

"Well, this storm's pretty wild. I think I'll stay here with Lillian for a few days until it clears up and it's safe to fly."

Susanna found it a bit odd that Aviana suddenly called with these questions. Could Aviana know about Sam being here? Over the years, the Jones family never mentioned Sam, afraid it would upset her.

She thought Aviana was calling to ask her to come back early, but it turned out to be just a casual chat.

After hanging up, Susanna felt that Abel might have spilled some beans.

Luckily, the Radiant Valley Airport shutdown and the crazy storm outside made any immediate travel plans impossible for Edward.

It seemed she had to use this time to sort things out with Sam.

Seeing Lillian playing happily, Susanna walked over with a smile. "Lillian, sweetie!"

"Mommy!" Lillian saw Susanna and jumped into her arms, her forehead all sweaty.

Susanna pulled out a tissue to wipe Lillian's face. "Did you have fun?"

Lillian nodded, her little eyes sparkling. "Mommy, I was just teasing him."

Smiling warmly, Susanna gently said, "Why don't you go chill over there for a bit? I need to have a private chat with him."

Lillian obediently left. She now saw Aaron as her dad, so the upcoming talk between Susanna and Sam didn't interest her much.

She secretly hoped for some drama between them. That would make it easier for her to openly accept Aaron as her dad.

Susanna walked straight to Sam, her tone icy. "Can we talk?"

"Talk about what?" Sam looked around but didn't see Aaron. Did they finish breakfast that fast?

Susanna got straight to the point, "Mr. Ross, we've been divorced for years, so everything's in the past. Lillian's curious about you right now, so I hope you can spend some time with her these days. Once the airport reopens, I'll take her away, and I hope you won't contact us again."

Sam looked innocent and said, "Ms. Ramirez, it's not that I'm denying anything. I think you really have the wrong guy. I'm not your ex-husband!"

Susanna frowned and shot back, "Okay, if you don't want to admit it, that's fine. Anyway, I've made myself clear. If you upset Lillian these days, don't blame me for being ruthless."

"Oh my God, you really have the wrong guy. I'm not your ex-husband!"

Susanna's eyes turned cold. "I said, it doesn't matter whether you admit it or not!"

Unable to hold back, Sam said, "Ms. Ramirez, didn't Aaron say you look a lot like his ex-wife?"
