Chapter 450 Some People Deserve to Be Humiliated

Susanna stared at Kayle, totally baffled.

Running into Kayle at this hospital? Talk about a small world.

And Kayle thinking she was here to apologize to her? Where did she get that idea?

Clearly, the Thornberrys hadn't been punished enough. They were still strutting around like they owned the place, bullying everyone in sight.

While Susanna was lost in thought, Kayle had already wheeled herself over, glaring daggers. "So now you know we're about to sign a deal with the Abbott family, and you're scared, huh? Too late for apologies now. I won't forgive you."

"No way I'm letting someone like you marry into our family. You used to look down on the Thornberrys, but now you're the one who doesn't measure up."

Susanna glanced at Kayle, then at the servant next to her. "Did Mrs. Thornberry get hit on the head or something? What's her deal?"

Seriously, how could Kayle spout such nonsense? If it was not a brain issue, then what was it?

"Susanna, don't act like I'm crazy. I'm perfectly clear-headed. Even though you schemed to give me a concussion and put me in the hospital, I'm very clear-headed now. Once Roman teams up with the Abbott family, the first ones we'll go after are your Jones family. You'll pay the price."

Susanna was getting real tired of hearing about this so-called collaboration.

She turned to Aaron, annoyed. "Are you really gonna work with them?"

She'd told Aaron yesterday to get back to Lindwell and have his people dig into this. She couldn't stand the Thornberry family's nonsense anymore.

Dealing with idiots like them wasn't even satisfying.

Aaron replied coldly, "I've already got people looking into it. But no matter what was discussed before, the Abbott family will never team up with them."

Susanna nodded and turned back to Kayle. "Did you hear that? The Abbott family will never work with the Thornberrys. Stop dreaming."

Aaron wasn't dumb. After being insulted by the Thornberrys, why would he ever work with them?

The Thornberrys might be idiots, but Aaron sure wasn't.

Kayle snorted, "What do you mean by that? Isn't the guy next to you just your bodyguard? How could he possibly lead the Abbott family?"

Susanna thought for a moment. "If he can't lead the Abbott family, then maybe no one can. You keep talking about teaming up with the Abbott family to take down the Jones family, but do you even know who the president of the Abbott Group is?"

"The president of the Abbott Group? Are you saying the bodyguard next to you is the president?"

Susanna nodded. "Yep, that's right. You might not believe it, but he really is the president of the Abbott Group, Aaron."

Susanna couldn't wait to see the Thornberry family's reaction when they found out.

Kayle burst out laughing. "Susanna, come on, even if you're scared, don't try to pull one over on me with that lame excuse. He's just a bodyguard. No way he's the president of the Abbott Group."

She exchanged a mocking glance with her servant.

Susanna, totally incredulous, shot back, "Why couldn't he be the president? Have you never seen the president of the Abbott Group? Even if you haven't, if you're planning to team up with them, didn't you bother to check out the CEO's background first?"

Kayle scoffed, "Roman's been handling this. I trust he's done his homework. He even got his teeth knocked out by this bodyguard of yours last time. If he really were the president, how could Roman not recognize him? So, you're obviously lying."

The servant chimed in, "Yeah, he's just a bodyguard. Otherwise, why would he be hanging around Susanna, playing bodyguard?" Kayle nodded, "Exactly. He's just a good-looking bodyguard. No way he's the president."

Seeing their smug faces, Susanna just rubbed her forehead in frustration.

"Are you sure Roman's background check is solid?" she asked, now even doubting Roman's competence.

Maybe Roman got duped, or someone was pretending to be from the Abbott Group to scam the Thornberrys.

Kayle snorted, "Roman's sharp and capable. He's always been good at business and big deals. No way he didn't do a thorough check."

"Mrs. Thornberry, she's just scared and found someone to fake being the president."

Susanna found it both laughable and absurd. "If you don't believe me, just search online right now."

Kayle laughed, "Fine, let's do it. Today, I'm gonna humiliate you."

She glanced at her servant. "Get your phone and search."

A moment later, the servant said, "No photos of him. Can't find any info."

Susanna turned to Aaron. "Seriously, no photos of you online?"

Aaron replied calmly, "The international network here in Novaria is limited. Plus, I keep a low profile, so there are very few photos of me out there. It's normal not to find any."

Kayle scoffed, "Alright, you two can drop the act. No photos just means the president is low-key, but it also gives fakes like you a chance. I'm not buying it."

The servant added, "Yeah, Mrs. Thornberry. He's just a bodyguard. No way he's the president. He doesn't even look the part."

At this point, Susanna was at a loss for words. She hadn't expected them to be this dense.

She looked at Kayle and said, "If that's what you think, fine. Just don't come crying when you sign that contract with the Abbott family."

The more arrogant Kayle was now, the more she'd regret it later.
