Chapter 431 Aaron Starts to Get Jealous

Aaron eyeballed the dude who popped up outta nowhere, his face getting all frosty. Who the heck was this guy?

The car door swung open, and just as Susanna was about to step out, she spotted the mystery man and grinned. "Francis, is that you?"

The guy holding the door, Francis, was the star of her movie and a hotshot newbie she had big hopes for!

Francis had totally killed it in the movie. Even though it wasn't out yet, some leaked clips had already blown up.

"Susanna, I couldn't miss such a big deal today. Had to come and welcome you myself."

"You're always so thoughtful."

Susanna hopped out of the car with a smile, but she felt this weird chill coming from Aaron, who was rocking some shades nearby.

Aaron watched her laughing it up with Francis, his stare icy cold.

Susanna caught Aaron's annoyed look but quickly looked away, acting like she didn't see it. She walked with Francis towards the event entrance.

Just then, a reporter rushed over for an interview.

"Ms. Jones, there's talk about a scandal with young girls entertaining rich guys at your movie promo party. Any truth to that?"

Susanna's face went stone cold at the question.

She knew this was coming but had already planned her response.

Susanna calmly faced the reporter and said, "That's all nonsense. But yeah, there was an uninvited creep at the party, and I caught him red-handed. We called the cops right away, and now our lawyers and the police are on it. The girl involved is pressing charges too."

"Ms. Jones, will this scandal and lawsuit mess with the movie's release?"

"Don't try to scare me with box office numbers. As a woman, I'm standing by that girl. No matter who the guy is, he's gonna get what's coming to him! Girls gotta support girls, and the law will sort it out."

With that, Susanna ignored the reporter and walked off.

Francis, next to her, said, "Susanna, that was badass!"

Susanna smiled and looked at Marcus beside her, saying, "Stick to the plan; let the PR team handle it now."

She knew someone would try to drag the scandal into the spotlight to mess with her movie.

But she flipped the script to focus on gender issues, putting pressure on the Ashton family and steering clear of the scandal's fallout!

Soon, Susanna's statement was trending.

At the same time, the girl who was victimized made her first public statement, detailing what went down at the party and revealing she'd been threatened to settle. She thanked Susanna for hooking her up with a lawyer and a bodyguard, giving her the courage to keep fighting.

The video blew up fast.

Tons of people started digging to find out which sleazy rich guy had messed with the girl.

Folks who were at the party began clearing their names, scared they'd get dragged into it.

Susanna sat back, watching the news blow up on social media. Finally, the public's focus had shifted to the girl, with everyone eager to see how her lawsuit would turn out.

When Susanna saw the public opinion shift, she let out a big sigh of relief. Looked like the movie's premiere was gonna go off without a hitch.

The press conference wrapped up smoothly.

Just as Susanna was about to bounce, Francis came up to her. "Susanna, it's been a while. We were supposed to grab a meal together. How about we celebrate today? Toast to the movie's future success?"

"Sure, why not."

Susanna's mood was way better now.

But as soon as she agreed, she felt a chill run down her spine. She turned and saw Aaron looking seriously ticked off.

Francis followed her gaze and spotted the guy in sunglasses standing behind Susanna with a stern look.

Even with those shades, the bodyguard's good looks and tall, lean frame were hard to miss.

Francis figured this must be the bodyguard the media had been buzzing about lately.

He glanced at Aaron, his eyes showing a mix of curiosity and something else. "Susanna, is this your hot bodyguard? He looks even better in person than in the pics."

Susanna shrugged it off. "Really? I hadn't noticed."

"Susanna, you planning to promote another leading man? You promised I'd be your main guy first. Anyone else has to wait their turn."

Francis only needed one look at the bodyguard to know that if someone with those looks got into showbiz, they'd blow up fast, especially with Susanna's backing.

So he had to lock down Susanna's support first.

Francis's manager also noticed the bodyguard. His looks and build were top-notch, making him a rare find.

The manager stepped up to Aaron and said, "Ever thought about switching to the entertainment industry? How much do you make as a bodyguard? You'd do way better as a star!"

Aaron shot him down coldly. "Not interested."

"Don't be so quick to say no. Here's my card. If you change your mind, hit me up. The Jones family is loaded and powerful. If you want a long-term future with Ms. Jones, getting into showbiz and starting your own career is a sure bet. With Ms. Jones's company backing you, you'll be famous in no time."

With looks and connections like those, success was almost guaranteed.

Aaron glanced at Francis walking beside Susanna and lowered his voice. "Is that how he got famous?"

"You mean Francis? He was just a bar singer. But after meeting Ms. Jones, she signed him with a talent agency, and now he's the second male lead. If this movie does well, his value will skyrocket."

Hearing this, Aaron's face darkened. He gritted his teeth and asked, "What's the deal between Francis and Susanna?"

The manager lowered his voice, hinting, "I can't say it outright, but I think it's pretty obvious, right?"

Aaron's face got even darker. The manager wanted to say more but noticed the intense vibe Aaron was giving off, warning others to back off.

The manager wisely shut up, though he was confused. Was this kind of aura normal for a bodyguard?

As Susanna reached the parking lot and was about to get into the car, the door was blocked.

To be exact, it was blocked by two guys!

Aaron held the car door, glaring coldly at Francis and said, "This is my spot."
