Chapter 441 Speak Harsh Truths and Deliver the Most Impactful Blows

Susanna strutted over in her high heels, rocking those oversized sunglasses that covered half her face.

The crowd around Aaron took a step back, giving her space.

One girl eyed Susanna and said, "You here to fight us for him? Get in line, girl."

"Yeah, we were here first."

Susanna didn't expect these chicks to challenge her.

She pushed up her shades and shot a look at Aaron. "You wanna tell them? Do I really need to wait in line?"

Aaron walked right up to her and whispered, "With me, you're always first."

Susanna smirked at the girls. "Hear that? You can bounce now."

One girl, still salty, said, "Even if you don't need to wait, we got the right to compete."

"Chill, we're not here for a man. We're here to recruit. No matter what you got going on with him, we wanna sign him to our entertainment company. He'll blow up for sure."

"Yeah, it's a win-win for you."

Susanna rolled her eyes. "No need. He's already signing with the Jones Group's film company."

"The Jones Group's film company?"

"Yep, the Jones Group. Your shady contracts can take a hike."

Susanna didn't need to guess what kind of scam this so-called film company was running. Newbies always got trapped in those rip-off deals, squeezed dry whether they made it big or not.

Thinking she was from the Jones Group, they backed off quietly. The rest followed.

In Novaria, no one messed with the Jones Group.

Once they were gone, Susanna looked at Aaron. "Didn't think you'd be so down and out, yet still a hot commodity."

She had to admit, Aaron had that charm.

She noticed his wrinkled clothes and the dried blood on his shoulder.

Aaron was always a neat freak, super meticulous. This was the first time she’d seen him so messed up.

Susanna's eyes landed on the gauze slapped on his shoulder. She paused and asked, "Aren't you broke? Who gave you the gauze?"

"A nurse."

"Looks like you're quite the charmer. The nurse even patched you up for free."

Aaron was quiet for a moment. "They were afraid I'd die in the hospital and cause trouble."

This stubborn Aaron was a tough nut to crack.

The nurse clearly helped him out because he was good-looking, but he didn't get it.

Susanna sighed. "Look, I didn't do this for you. Now, get back to Lindwell, take back your spot as the president of the Abbott Group, and figure out which idiot in Novaria is trying to team up with the Thornberry family."

The Thornberrys had been spreading rumors about teaming up with the Abbott family, and some people actually bought it.

"I said I wouldn't leave until I saw Lillian recover."

"Aaron, you used to be smart. Why so stubborn now? Once you're back in Lindwell, I'll have Lillian video call you to show she's fine."

"No way, I gotta see Lillian get better in person at the hospital."

Aaron gave her a look and asked, "Why are you so freaked out about me seeing Lillian? What are you hiding?"

Susanna's face turned red with anger. "Aaron, if I hadn't kept you around as my bodyguard, you wouldn't even get a video call with Lillian, let alone see her. Don't push it."

Just then, a voice cut in. "Susanna, if you wanna come at someone, come at me. Why mess with my mom?"

Susanna turned to see Roman storming in with a few bodyguards, looking pissed.

The Thornberrys just couldn't leave her alone.

Susanna gave Roman a once-over. "Didn't think you'd have the guts to show up. And you're saying I mess with your mom? For real? Your mom had her goons jump me in a restaurant bathroom. I ended up with a concussion and in the hospital."

"That's 'cause you had your bodyguard hit me first, so my mom came to settle the score."

"Well, your mom hit me, so my brothers went to settle the score with her. Seems fair to me."

Roman looked like he was about to explode. "But my mom's in the hospital now, fighting for her life. She's got a critical condition notice, head injury, stitches, the whole nine yards."

Susanna shrugged. "What's that got to do with me? I didn't do it."

"I know it was someone from the Jones family."

Roman's eyes landed on Aaron, and he yelled, "It was this bodyguard who hit me last time, right? I've been looking for him. Today, I'm gonna teach him a lesson. Guys, break all his teeth."

Susanna looked at Roman like he was nuts. "Do you really not know who he is?"

Roman sneered. "Why would I care who a bodyguard is? Now it's his turn to remember me. I'll break his teeth, cripple him for life, make him live in despair forever."

Susanna clapped her hands, smirking. "I gotta hand it to you, you've got guts."

Roman sneered back. "You won't be so smug for long. The Abbott family is signing a contract with us tomorrow. We're gonna team up, take down the Jones family, and grab all your shares."

Susanna's face turned icy.

Just as she was about to snap back, Aaron stepped in front of her, glaring at Roman. "You said the Abbott Group is teaming up with you to take down the Jones family?"

"That's right, the Abbott Group. You've heard of them, right? The richest family in Lindwell. Once we join forces, neither you nor Susanna will escape."

Aaron's expression darkened. "Who from the Abbott family is teaming up with you? Name and position."

He wanted to know which idiot was behind this.

"Why would I tell you, a lowly bodyguard? This is a game for the rich. What do you know? Acting like you're the president of the Abbott Group."

Susanna tilted her head and smirked. "Maybe he really is the president of the Abbott Group."
