Chapter 529 Similar Appearance

Susanna nodded after listening. "Yeah, I've heard about it. It's pretty famous in the hacker world; a lot of folks see it as legendary."

"Mom, what do you think of this story?"

Susanna found Charles's sudden question a bit odd but answered patiently, "It's really inspiring, and I admire the person who started it."

Charles pressed on, "Mom, what kind of person do you think 'H' is?"

Susanna looked at Charles curiously. "Why do you ask? Do you know who 'H' is? The members of that group only used codes and never revealed their real identities to avoid being found by terrorists, which could put their families in danger."

"Mom, just answer my question." Charles's expression turned a bit awkward.

Susanna thought for a moment and said, "'H' is seen as a hero. His actions proved to those who looked down on hackers that they could do great things. A lot of hackers look up to him now. His reputation really boosted the image of hackers."

"Do you think a hero in real life is also a hero? Could he be pretending?"

Susanna found her son's question a bit strange. "It's hard to say, but someone who can rally so many people to achieve something big probably isn't a bad person."

After saying this, Susanna noticed Charles's thoughtful expression and quickly added, "Actually, there's a secret about this story. Want to hear it?"

Charles looked up. "Sure."

Susanna smiled and said, "Arthur was also part of that group and worked with 'H' to finally take down that terrorist group. But because the impact was so huge and the terrorists had unusual identities, Arthur never mentioned it to anyone outside our family to avoid retaliation. Only our family knows."

Charles wasn't surprised because he already knew this.

Even though Arthur never mentioned it to him, Charles had figured out from Aaron's words that Arthur was the one who fought alongside Aaron until the end.

But they didn't know each other's identities.

Charles nodded. "Arthur is amazing."

"Of course, but why are you suddenly interested in 'H' and asking if he's a good person in real life? Do you know who he is?"

Charles turned his head. "I don't know. I was just asking."

Susanna noticed Charles's strange behavior. 'Could Aaron have said something to Charles?'

Susanna picked up the headset and turned on the mic, "Aaron, what exactly did you tell the kid? Tell me the truth."

"I just told a story, nothing more."

"Then please stay away from my son in the future."

After saying this, Susanna turned off the computer and looked at Charles with a gentle expression. "You don't need to worry so much. In a few days, you can be discharged and live with us."

A smile appeared in Charles's eyes, but he suddenly thought of something. "Mom, did he know who I was all along?"

He thought he had hidden it well.

It turned out Aaron had been trying to get close to him all along. He thought he had successfully hidden his identity. How frustrating!

Susanna patted Charles's head, comforting, "For him, finding out who you are isn't difficult. But it doesn't matter. Even if he knows who you are, he just wants to sweet-talk you."

"I'm not as easy to fool as Lillian," Charles said, his little face all serious. He wasn't going to be swayed by Aaron's small favors.

Susanna hugged Charles and rubbed his face. "Alright, I know you have great self-control. Let's not bring up those things. Look at the delicious treats I brought you."

Susanna sighed a bit as she looked at Charles's features, which resembled Aaron's.

In fact, Charles's personality was very similar to Aaron's.

Meanwhile, Aaron looked at the computer and finally took off the headset.

Sam glanced over, "Done talking?"

"Yeah, they're offline now."

Aaron had always thought the other kid was a girl, misled by Sam, not expecting it to be a boy.

Sam raised an eyebrow. "I was wondering why Lillian is so well-behaved, and the other kid's personality is so different. Now it makes sense."

"That kid's been in the research institute since he was little, so he's not as cheerful."

Sam explained, "No, that's not what I mean. I think that kid's personality is exactly like yours."

After Sam said this, he saw Aaron's expression. "Why are you looking at me like that? I'm not wrong. Aaron, this is what they call 'a taste of your own medicine.'"

Aaron gritted his teeth. "If you can't speak properly, then don't speak."

"You get upset when I say a few words. You should think of a way to win him over. With a personality like yours, it'll be tough."

Aaron suddenly felt a bit short of breath.

At that moment, the secretary walked over and said, "Mr. Abbott, the Velvet Sky Ballroom Hotel has responded. They said we can discuss cooperation, but they've arranged an investment banquet and invited interested parties to attend."

Sam said, "The hotel owner is a bit arrogant. They're negotiating with you but also looking for other investors."

The secretary tentatively asked, "Should we go?"

Aaron narrowed his eyes. "Yes."

Velvet Sky Ballroom Resort.

Susanna had arrived at the resort early. After all, today was the investment banquet, and it had to be perfect.

She had personally designed the place, so it was her labor of love.

The secretary came to her side, asking, "Ms. Jones, the banquet is about to start, and guests are arriving. Will you be making an appearance?"

"No, let the general manager attend on my behalf."

Susanna put down the documents and changed into an evening gown before heading downstairs to the lawn banquet.

She walked to the lawn and immediately checked the setup. If there were any issues, they needed to be fixed right away.

"Susanna," Amelia called out, stepping out in an evening gown, but she looked a bit haggard.

Susanna looked at her. "How's your mom doing?"

"Not well. The doctor said her emotions are unstable, and she had a big fight with my Dad."

Amelia took a deep breath. "But don't worry, I've started convincing my grandparents. I won't let Vivian succeed."

"That's good." Susanna noticed a problem with the table settings and immediately turned to the waiter, "The food arrangement on the table is wrong. Change it immediately."

"Susanna, who do you think you are? You're not the host today. Why should they listen to you?"
