Chapter 406 The Tattoo on Your Ankle Looks Very Familiar

Aaron just stood there, totally unfazed.

Maud gave Vivian a pat on the shoulder and said, "Hey, don't call him Aaron. You ain't that tight with him. Call him Mr. Abbott."

Vivian clammed up right away. After a bit, she finally said, "Alright, fine. But you gotta promise me one thing: make sure Ramond's got his place in the Abbott family, and no one talks trash about him."

"Relax, I'll treat Ramond just like always. Nothing's gonna change."

Maud let out a sigh of relief when Vivian agreed. She really didn't wanna end up behind bars.

As they were about to haul Vivian away, Susanna piped up, "Hold on, I got one more thing to clear up."

There was something she needed to get straight.

Vivian, held tight by the bodyguards, couldn't do much but glare at Susanna and snapped, "What now?"

Susanna strolled over, lifted Vivian's skirt, and showed off her thigh.

Vivian freaked out and yelled, "What the hell are you doing?"

Susanna smirked, "What do you think? Stripping you down?"

Vivian shot a look at Aaron, but he was just as cold and distant as ever.

Susanna crouched down and checked out Vivian's ankle. "I've always thought that tattoo on your ankle looked familiar, like I've seen it somewhere before."

Vivian's face went white as a sheet, and she yanked her foot back, saying, "It's just a random tattoo. It's normal for designs to look alike."

Susanna whipped out her phone and snapped a pic of the tattoo.

Aaron walked over and asked, "Is there something up with the tattoo?"

Susanna squinted at the photo and said, "Even though I've forgotten a lot from back then, I remember this tattoo clear as day. I've been having this weird dream lately, where I grab an ankle with a tattoo just like this one."

Vivian started shaking, looking super sketchy, and stammered, "It's probably just a coincidence. Having this tattoo doesn't mean I'm that person."

"Is it really just a coincidence? I don't buy it."

Susanna stared at the guilty-looking Vivian and said, "Vivian, what did you do to me back then? There's gotta be a reason I remember this tattoo so well."

"You're talking nonsense! I didn't do anything to you. You don't even remember what happened. Maybe you're just confused or remembering wrong. At that party, I never met you alone!"

Vivian kept her eyes down, scared she'd give something away.

It hit Vivian that Susanna had seen the tattoo before she blacked out.

But luckily, Susanna had lost her memory and didn't remember the past, which was a bit of a silver lining.

Even if Susanna remembered the tattoo, it didn't prove anything.

Susanna smirked and said, "If that's the case, why do you look so guilty?"

Aaron took the phone, glanced at it, and said in a cold voice, "Vivian, what did you really do four years ago? Spill now, and maybe I'll go easy on you."

"Aaron, I swear, I didn't do anything. I was the one who caught the real culprit back then. I don't know why Susanna's fixated on my ankle tattoo. I got it randomly on the street; there are tons like it. Maybe Susanna's just mistaken."

Susanna took back her phone and said calmly, "Whatever the story behind this tattoo, it doesn't change the fact that you're gonna pay now. Hope you think it over in prison."

Vivian was dragged out of the villa by the bodyguards.

Aaron looked at Susanna and asked, "Is everything you just said true? Do you remember any other clues?"

He also felt something was fishy about Wendy getting caught back then, but all the evidence pointed to her, and Wendy herself had confessed.

"I haven't recalled any other clues yet. But Maria's fall definitely involved some scheming. Don't worry, I should get my memory back soon. When I do, I'll uncover the truth."

Maud, feeling guilty, said, "Didn't the truth come out already? Your classmate was jealous of you, so she wormed her way into the Abbott family for revenge, and Maria just got caught in the crossfire."

Susanna frowned and said, "I don't think it's that simple. We haven't figured it out yet, but once Maria wakes up, she'll know what happened."

Maud tentatively said, "But Maria's so ill now, she could fall into a coma any moment, let alone wake up."

She had waited four years, but Maria still hadn't passed away!

"That was the case, but with the special medicine I sent over, it's different now."

Susanna carefully watched Maud's expression, feeling that Maud might know something more.

It seemed the whole Abbott family was tangled up in this!

At this moment, Aaron looked at Maud and said, "Mom, you should apologize to Susanna."

"Aaron, you want me to apologize? This was clearly Vivian's doing; she should be the one to apologize."

After all, Vivian had taken all the blame now.

"Mom, Lillian is your granddaughter. Can you honestly say you had nothing to do with this? Or do you want to end up in prison like Vivian?"

Maud was furious, but finally, reluctantly, she looked at Susanna and apologized, "I'm sorry, I was deceived by Vivian."

Susanna smirked at Maud's reluctant apology, "Maud, you should be more careful in the future, so you won't be betrayed."

Even though Maud was unhappy, she didn't dare to say anything at this moment. After all, she had left evidence, and Susanna was from the Jones family. If things got out of hand, Daniel wouldn't let it go easily.

After arranging for someone to take Maud away, Aaron looked at Susanna and said, "I know you were framed back then, you were innocent."

"So what exactly happened back then?"
