Chapter 128 Aaron Is so Clueless

Hearing the whir of a helicopter, a spark of hope ignited in Susanna's heart. A helicopter here was no coincidence. Could it be her brothers coming to her aid?

The middle-aged man in the co-pilot seat suddenly became alert. "Could it be the police coming?"

The driver chuckled and replied, "Have you watched too many movies? Why would the police be flying a helicopter here? We've traveled this road many times, how could there be a problem?"

Gavin asked, "What's with the helicopter? I've never seen a helicopter before."

"I guess it's here for tourism, or maybe for TV filming." an answer form the driver.

Gavin in the co-pilot seat still found it reasonable. It couldn't be that an expensive helicopter was coming to rescue her after all.

.

Soon, the driver said, "Look, the helicopter is flying away. I told you it definitely wasn't coming for us, you're still worried."

After hearing this, Susanna also noticed that the sound of the helicopter seemed to diminish significantly.

Could it really just be passing by?

Susanna's nerves began to fray. She hadn't anticipated such brazen kidnapping in a bustling city! What was her next move?

Did she really have to give birth to a child for this middle-aged man who suddenly appeared in such a remote place?

Not long after, the vehicle suddenly made an emergency stop.

The driver cursed, "Damn, how did a big tree fall in the middle of the road? How are we going to proceed now?"

"What do we do now? Should we reverse the car?"

"How could we do that? Let's all get out and help move these trees out of the way." the driver said.

All the men got out of the car.

Susanna was alone in the car. She held her breath, sitting up cautiously, and peered out to observe the situation outside.

Not looking would have been better, as seeing made her heart grow cold.

Indeed, it was desolate here.

If she had to walk, she definitely wouldn't be able to get out.

Suddenly, several men in camouflage clothing emerged from all sides and quickly knocked down the men moving the trees over there.

After witnessing this scene, Susanna felt extremely nervous. Her attention was now fully focused.

Who were these people exactly?

Suddenly, someone opened the van's door. She turned and saw a man in camouflage clothing, although his face was smeared with something, his narrow eyes were unmistakably familiar.

Was he Aaron?

Aaron stood at the door of the car, and he untied all the ropes on her hands and feet. When he saw the marks on her wrists and ankles, his eyes grew colder.

Aaron suppressed the coldness, reaching his hand towards her, "It's okay, come down."

Susanna stared at him blankly. "My legs are numb, I can't move."

Mainly because she still had a baby in her belly, she didn't dare to move randomly. What if she fell when she got off the car?

After she finished speaking, she saw him bend down and carry her out of the car.

Susanna instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck. They were so close as she seeing the camouflage on his face which added a touch of mystery and handsomeness.

She pursed her lips. "How did you come here?"

She never expected the first person to arrive and save her would be Aaron!

Aaron didn't say anything, he placed her on the side of the road and even considerately wiped the nearby stones clean. "Sit down."

Susanna obediently sat down, as he squatted in front of her, taking out the first aid kit, and disinfected the marks on her hands and feet where the ropes had been.

When her wounds were exposed to alcohol, Susanna's hands and feet twitched slightly, showing some resistance.

Aaron held her ankle firmly. "Don't move."

"It hurts!" Susanna cried.

Her voice carried a hint of tears, his hand paused.

He glanced at her, noticing the tears in the corner of her eyes, and then he slowed down his movements. "It'll be over soon; endure it."

She thought he would comfort her, but he just told her to endure it!

Susanna knew there was no other way at this moment but to endure it!

Although Aaron said so, his actions were much gentler.

At that moment, Susanna heard cries of mercy coming from the other side.

She looked over, but her view was blocked by several men in camouflage clothing, making it unclear what was happening over there.

But from the sounds, they were probably being reprimanded?

Susanna looked down and saw that bandages had already been applied to her ankles. She noticed Aaron's profile, handsome and serious.

Her heart suddenly beat faster, and their eyes locked up when Aaron looked up, dressing the wound properly in the next moment.

Susanna was stunned, staring into his deep and beautiful eyes.

Aaron awkwardly averted his gaze. "Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere else?"

"No."

Susanna shifted her body back a bit, glancing at the people over there. "Thank you for saving me this time."

Only did Aaron put down the first aid kit then he said, his gaze heavy, "Remember to choose a reliable man next time, otherwise, even your personal safety won't be guaranteed."

Susanna pursed her lips. "How's Dick?"

Aaron's tone was contemptuous. "He won't die."

After knowing that Dick was fine, Susanna felt relieved. After all, he got hurt because of her.

Who could have expected those people to be so audacious at that time?

Aaron glanced over there. "How do you want to deal with them?"

Susanna looked up, meeting his deep eyes. "Are you asking me?"

He furrowed his brows, seeming a bit impatient. "Who it would be if it were not you? This is a remote area, no one will find them even if we leave the bodies here."

Upon hearing this, Susanna felt a bit scared. She swallowed hard. "Let's call the police."

Aaron laughed. "You're really timid!"

Susanna felt a bit uncomfortable. "Killing is illegal, you know? I don't want us to get into trouble."

Aaron heard her say 'us' and his thin lips curved. "I was just teasing you, and you took it seriously?"

Susanna felt speechless. He was actually joking with her!

She had just been slightly moved by him!

The next moment, Aaron turned to his men. "What did they say?"

"They've confessed everything. Indeed, Susanna's foster parents paid them five thousand dollars, and they gave this man Susanna's photo and address to come and kidnap her."

Upon hearing this, Susanna's expression turned extremely bad. "I won't let this matter go easily."

"Your foster parents have caused you trouble more than once. You're usually quite capable when dealing with me. Why can't you handle your foster parents?" asked Aaron.

He looked at her with narrow eyes. Only when he saw that she was safe did he feel at ease.

She had actually been kidnapped to this place.

If it weren't for him acting quickly, she would have had no way to escape if she had really reached a remote area!

Susanna knew she was in real danger this time. If it weren't for Aaron, she didn't know what the consequences would have been.

She lowered her head. "I never expected that these people would dare to do this in a big city."

"You have a lot of unexpected things. Be careful when you go out!"Aaron said.

After being reprimanded, Susanna suddenly remembered something and looked up at him. "How did you know I was in trouble?"
