Chapter 434 You're Just a Bodyguard
Susanna clutched her head, feeling like it was about to split open. She was desperate to stop the memories flooding her mind!
Just as she was about to pass out, Aaron swooped in and caught her, looking all worried. "You okay?" he asked.
Susanna's headache was so bad she couldn't even talk, but Kayle wasn't having it. She yelled, "Susanna, if you don't explain yourself today, we're both going down!"
Kayle was about to make another move, but Aaron snatched her bag and chucked it to the ground.
Kayle freaked out. She glared at Aaron and screamed, "How dare you, a bodyguard, throw my bag! Do you even know how much this costs? You couldn't afford it in a million years."
Another woman nearby nervously said, "Kayle, is this the bodyguard who hit Roman?"
Seeing Aaron, Kayle snapped and yelled, "Did you knock out Roman's teeth?"
Aaron gave her a cold stare and said, "Yeah, it was me. Got a problem? Come at me."
"Fine, you want me to come at you? You beat Roman like that, I won't let it slide. I've already called the cops, so get ready to go to jail."
Aaron, still holding Susanna, saw her pale face and felt a wave of anger.
With a deadly look in his eyes, he glared at Kayle and said, "If anything happens to her, it won't just be Roman; I'll make the whole Thornberry family pay!"
After that, Aaron carried Susanna out.
Kayle was stunned, taking a while to process, and then said, "What makes a bodyguard think he can talk to me like that, saying he'll make Roman and our whole family pay? Ridiculous."
The person next to Kayle added, "Yeah, he's just a bodyguard, talking big."
Another person chimed in, "Yeah, once the Thornberry family signs that deal with the Abbott family, you won't have to worry about the Jones family anymore."
Kayle nodded fiercely and said, "That's right. I'll make Susanna get on her knees and apologize to Roman, and that bodyguard is gonna pay for this."
Meanwhile, Aaron was carrying Susanna out of the restaurant, looking icy.
Francis had heard the commotion and came out to see Susanna being carried, looking super pale.
He walked up, concerned, and asked, "What's wrong with Susanna?"
"Get lost."
Aaron ignored Francis and looked at Marcus, who had rushed over, ordering, "Take her to the hospital now."
Marcus didn't ask questions and followed Aaron out, quickly calling for a driver to pick them up.
Francis tried to follow but got shoved aside by Aaron, who snapped, "Don't get in the way!"
Marcus hopped into the passenger seat and told the driver to head to the hospital.
Seeing Marcus working with the bodyguard, Francis didn't stop them and followed in his own car.
In the car, Aaron held Susanna and gently said, "How you holding up? We're almost at the hospital. Hang in there."
Susanna felt like the world was spinning and her stomach was doing flips. Kayle had the nerve to smack her on the head!
She gripped Aaron's hand tight and said, "My head's killing me. I think I might have a concussion."
Hearing that, Marcus got all worried and immediately called up the docs at the Jones family's private hospital, speeding there like a bat outta hell.
The hospital crew was already on standby.
Aaron was the first to jump out of the car with Susanna. Austin, who was with the hospital team, saw Aaron and was like, "What the hell are you doing here?"
Hearing Austin's voice, Susanna knew things were about to get messy and decided to play possum.
Aaron took a few steps forward and laid Susanna on a gurney, saying, "This isn't the time for that. She got whacked on the head with a bag and feels like puking. Might be a mild concussion."
Seeing Susanna's pale face, Austin didn't waste time asking questions and rushed her into the operating room for a check-up.
Aaron stood guard outside, his eyes cold and full of anger thinking about Susanna's injury.
The Thornberry family had really crossed the line.
Not long after, Francis showed up and asked Marcus, "How's she doing?"
Marcus glanced at the operating room and said, Still checking her out. Hope she's okay."
Francis looked at the operating room and then at the bodyguard standing outside, his expression getting more complicated. He really wanted to know what was up between this bodyguard and Susanna.
Half an hour later, Austin came out of the operating room in his white coat.
Aaron immediately rushed up and asked, "How's Susanna?"
Austin looked at Aaron with disdain and asked, "Why are you even here? I knew nothing good would happen with you around."
Aaron, holding back his frustration, pressed on, "How is Susanna?"
"Now you care about her? If it weren't for you, would she be hurt? And you still haven't answered my question. Didn't you sneak back to Lindwell? Why are you here with Susanna, getting her hurt?"
Aaron didn't explain and stubbornly asked, "I want to know how Susanna is."
"Aaron, I'm telling you, you have no right to know her condition!"
Austin was really pissed; he felt like every time the Jones family got mixed up with Aaron, it was bad news.
He angrily told Marcus, "Get someone to kick this guy out. Don't let him near Susanna! I'll deal with you later!"
Aaron coldly said, "I ain't leaving until she's better."
"Aaron, if you don't listen, don't blame me for using force."
Austin called his bodyguards and told Aaron, "Beat him. If he doesn't leave, break his legs!"
Austin had been wanting to do this for a long time.
Since Aaron had come to him, he wasn't gonna hold back.
Aaron stood his ground, facing the bodyguards head-on, unyielding.
Francis, watching this, was stunned.
From what Austin said, he could tell that Susanna and this bodyguard had something unusual going on.
He was getting more curious!
Was this guy really just an ordinary bodyguard?
