Chapter 350 Elaine's Being Arrogant

When Aaron brought up his worries about Lillian, Susanna's heart started pounding. This was exactly why she had come to Lindwell.

She played it cool and said, "Nah, not right now. I got a family doc for her. A bit of rest should do the trick."

'Would it be too obvious if I made a move now? Maybe we should chill for a few days first,' Susanna thought to herself.

After hanging up, Susanna let out a small sigh of relief. She glanced at Maria lying on the hospital bed and shot Michael a WhatsApp message: [Do we still have the special medicine?]

She mused, 'Maybe it's time to whip up another batch of that special stuff.'

Leaving the hospital and hopping into the car, Susanna's secretary piped up, "Ms. Jones, the Abbott Group's system crashed today. Rumor has it, it was a hack. They're calling it a malfunction to dodge the hacking talk."

"Hacked?" Susanna raised an eyebrow. No wonder Aaron had rushed to the company. A corporation's system was bound to have some dirty laundry. If hackers aired it out, it would be a major headache.

Looked like Aaron's IT crew was pretty useless, maybe even worse than Charles's.

Susanna mentally mocked the Abbott Group's hacking mess and then sent Elaine a message: [Elaine, I'm on my way. I'll be at the mall in an hour. I've already told the manager. If you get there early, just head on in.]

Elaine quickly shot back an "Okay," clearly excited.

Susanna stayed chill. The VIP treatment at DivineDynasty was on another level compared to the usual perks. Elaine, being the self-absorbed fashionista she was, would definitely flaunt it every chance she got.

The secretary in the passenger seat looked a bit puzzled and said, "Ms. Jones, it only takes half an hour to get there from here, not an hour."

Susanna's eyebrows had a hint of frost. "That's exactly the point."

Elaine's vanity was off the charts. At the hospital yesterday, she had the nerve to make snide comments to Vivian about her humble beginnings, totally lacking any sense of decency.

Back when Susanna was with the Abbott family, she was a nobody, with no power or influence. It was easy to imagine Elaine's snarky remarks during those times.

Today, Susanna silently vowed to teach Elaine a subtle but unforgettable lesson.

Susanna's car soon pulled up at the mall, just in time to see Elaine's car park in front of her. She saw Elaine, toting a designer handbag, flanked by two other young girls.

These were clearly kids from rich families, decked out in designer brands from head to toe.

Susanna watched as Elaine and her crew got into the elevator before she got out of the car and casually took another elevator upstairs.

Elaine strutted out of the elevator and said to her friends, "Are you sure Stella's coming to DivineDynasty today?"

"Elaine, I checked. Stella's definitely coming to DivineDynasty today. Remember the fuss over that exclusive DivineDynasty handbag of yours last time? Stella was totally pissed."

Elaine glanced smugly at her new handbag. Last night, when she took it to the bar, Stella's face had indeed turned sour.

Stella, always acting all icy and superior, never missed a chance to look down on Elaine, even though Elaine was tied to the high-and-mighty Abbott family.

Today, Elaine was dead set on showing Stella just how different their family backgrounds really were.

"Elaine, Stella's family is tight with DivineDynasty. She always gets her sister, Anna, to snag stuff from there. Going head-to-head with her for the latest dress might be tough."

"What's there to be scared of? Today, I’m not just gonna win; I’m gonna make sure Stella can't even set foot in DivineDynasty." Elaine couldn't help but speed up her pace towards the store.

She was itching to humiliate Stella, flaunting Nova's exclusive super VIP card that let her boot out any unwanted guests and take over the whole place.

The thought of this epic showdown had Elaine buzzing. She made a mental note to capture the moment for some serious social media bragging later.

Susanna watched from a short distance, her red lips curling into a sly smile.

Elaine strutted into DivineDynasty, her chin up, radiating a confidence that made her look like she owned the joint.

Right on cue, two girls stepped out of the fitting room, rocking the latest DivineDynasty dresses.

Elaine, in her high heels, sauntered over and said, "Stella, hate to break it to you, but I’m buying this dress."

Stella rolled her eyes at Elaine. "Elaine, did you forget your meds today? I tried on this dress first. If you really want it, you’ll have to beg me. Maybe then I’ll think about it."

The girl next to Stella chimed in, "Isn't it first come, first served? Stella was here first, and she's got a higher membership level than your. If she wants it, tough luck."

Elaine sneered, "Who said my level is lower than yours? Today, I’m shopping as a super VIP at DivineDynasty. You know what that means, right? I can have the staff kick you all out!"

"Elaine, I know super VIPs can clear the store, but there aren’t many people in Lindwell with a super VIP card. Usually, only rich old ladies have them. As far as I know, even Mrs. Maud Abbott doesn’t have one. Where’d you get yours?" Stella shot back.

Elaine scoffed, "That’s none of your business. If you beg me now, I might consider not having the staff kick you out."

Finally, it was Elaine’s turn to bask in a sense of superiority, a total flip from Stella’s usual flaunting of Anna’s membership card.

Stella’s face froze for a moment, then she said, "You say you have a super VIP card? I could say I have one too."

The girl next to Stella echoed, "Yeah, Elaine. Why don’t you show us your membership card? None of us have ever seen a super VIP card."

Elaine sneered and turned to the staff. "Get your manager. Tell them a super VIP guest wants to clear the store and kick these eyesores out."

The staff hesitated and replied, "I’m sorry, Ms. Abbott, but our manager isn’t here today."

"The manager isn’t here? Then you kick them out. I’m booking the store today!"

The staff hesitated again, asking, "Ms. Abbott, we need to verify the VIP card. Do you have it with you?"
