Chapter 460 The Truth is Finally Revealed

Susanna's face lit up with anticipation. When Sam showed up later, things were gonna get wild.

Earlier, when Sam called, he sounded all smug and ready for some drama, but now, things seemed to have taken a turn.

She couldn't wait to see what was gonna go down next.

Kayle, noticing Susanna's silence, blurted out, "Susanna, why aren't you saying anything? Didn't you say you knew Sam? You even pretended he was in the hospital. Now that Sam's here, why aren't you talking?"

She wasn't talking 'cause she was too tired to deal with their nonsense, not 'cause she felt guilty.

Seeing them still being so shameless, she calmly replied, "Are you sure this guy is Sam?"

"Of course, this is Mr. Ross."

After Roman finished talking, the young dude next to him coughed and looked at Susanna. "After all, this is Philly, not Lindwell. It's normal for people not to recognize me. But Ms. Jones, don't get fooled by outsiders."

Did he just say she was being fooled?

She looked at the young guy. "This is weird. I've been to Lindwell and met Sam, but he doesn't look like you. So, who's the imposter here?"

After she said that, she noticed a flicker of guilt on the guy's face. It was subtle, but she caught it.

This dude was definitely a fake.

Kayle immediately jumped in, "Susanna, what do you mean by that? Do you still think the guy you mentioned before is Sam? The evidence is right in front of you, and you still don't believe it!"

Susanna crossed her arms. "We'll find out the truth when Sam and Aaron get here."

The young guy's face changed. Could it be that the real Sam was gonna show up? If so, his cover would be blown.

Kayle, however, arrogantly said, "Susanna, let's confront each other then. It'll be clear who's lying."

"Susanna, to be honest, the Jones family is pretty well-known. We invited you to the signing ceremony out of kindness, but you show up and cause a scene, calling my important guest a fake. If word gets out, how will people view the Jones family?"

Roman had a smug look, finally feeling proud in front of Susanna.

"I'm not afraid of what others will think of the Jones family. I didn't come here to congratulate the Thornberry family on signing the contract. I came to watch the show. Some people don't know they're being deceived and manipulated. Today will be very interesting."

After Susanna finished talking, she glanced at the media reporters nearby. It seemed the Thornberry family had invited quite a few people for publicity.

She directly addressed the media, "I believe the Thornberry family has given you many perks and has been bragging about a big collaboration with the Abbott family. I'm telling you, it's all fake. The president of the Abbott Group and the real Mr. Ross will be here soon, and then you'll know the truth."

One reporter said, "Ms. Jones, there have indeed been rumors about the Thornberry family collaborating with the Abbott family. But you say the president of the Abbott Group is your bodyguard. We find that hard to believe."

"Yeah, Ms. Jones, I mean, the president of the Abbott Group is from the richest family in Lindwell. Why would he slum it as some low-key bodyguard for you?"

"Even though that bodyguard with the shades kinda looks like the Abbott Group's president, that doesn't prove squat."

"Ms. Jones, are you saying Mr. Abbott is chasing after you, so he's cool with being your bodyguard?"

That was the only thing that made sense.

Otherwise, why would the president of the Abbott Group come to Philly to play bodyguard? No one would buy that.

Kayle, looking ticked off, cut in, "What kind of questions are those? That broke bodyguard just looks similar; he's not the president of the Abbott Group. Susanna's a divorced woman; why would the president of the Abbott Group be into her?"

Kayle couldn't handle these wild guesses. Clearly, it was Susanna's lucky day that Roman was into her, but the Jones family turned down the engagement with the Thornberry family.

This made Kayle feel super embarrassed. What was so special about a divorced woman?

A divorced woman should be grateful if a guy was interested in her.

Just then, a fancy car rolled up outside, grabbing everyone's attention.

Susanna glanced over and said calmly, "Right on time."Roman looked at the luxury car outside and sneered at Susanna, "What, are you saying that broke bodyguard and the fake Mr. Ross have arrived? This time they came in a fancy car. I wonder where they rented it from?"

After he said that, the Thornberry family members all laughed.

Kayle quickly chimed in, "Roman, you're so smart. Their car must be rented. How could a broke bodyguard afford such an expensive ride?"

Susanna looked at Roman and Kayle.

She was kinda excited about what was gonna happen next.

The car door opened, and Aaron and Sam stepped out.

Aaron was rocking a high-end custom suit, just like his usual work attire, oozing power with every step.

Aaron walked into the hotel lobby with a serious face, and almost everyone's eyes were glued to him and Sam.

After all, everyone there was pretty well-known, so they could easily tell if someone was loaded or not.

At this moment, the vibe got a bit tense.

When Aaron saw Susanna, he walked straight towards her.

His steps were steady, and his gaze was intense.

Soon, he reached her and said in a low voice, "Sorry, got caught in some traffic."

Susanna replied calmly, "I was handling some stuff nearby, so I got here a bit early."

A reporter nearby immediately said, "He really looks too much alike."

"I've seen Mr. Abbott's interviews. It's not just a resemblance; it's exactly the same."

"Could it be, it's really Mr. Abbott?"

Kayle, with a sneer, said, "It's just a resemblance. There are tons of people who look alike in this world. It doesn't mean he's the president of the Abbott Group. Can a president be a broke bodyguard?"
