Chapter 547 Learning from Susanna

Vivian always thought she was just as good as Susanna, if not better. Now that she was back with Owen and her status was solid, why did she still feel like she was coming up short compared to that witch Susanna?

God was really unfair.

She bit her lip and muttered, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spoken out of turn earlier."

Susanna caught the defiance in Vivian's eyes and the ambition lurking beneath.

Finally losing her patience, Susanna snapped, "No need. I don't think you and Elaine are welcome at today's party. Please leave immediately."

Keeping them around would only stir up more trouble.

Owen quickly tried to smooth things over, "Ms. Jones, I'm really sorry for the embarrassment today."

"I accept your apology, but I don't think Ms. Nguyen is cut out for events like this. The Richardson Family has Amelia, and she's more than enough."

Owen nodded, pleased, "Indeed, Amelia has never let me down."

That Vivian, who was found halfway, had embarrassed him today.

Amelia smiled and said, "Susanna, thank you for your praise. I'm flattered."

"I'm not exaggerating. Everyone saw your performance today; it's clear you're more outstanding. No wonder you're the real daughter." After praising Amelia, Susanna felt Vivian's glare, almost murderous.

Susanna said calmly, "Since Mr. Richardson has apologized, let's forget what I said earlier. Please don't throw any more tantrums."

Vivian, who always used these tricks to deceive people, probably never dreamed she would be so humiliated at today's party.

In the end, everyone considered family background and personal ability. Vivian had neither, and her tricks were just childish.

Owen specifically looked at Susanna and said, "But to compare with you, Amelia still has a long way to go. After all, Ms. Jones, you are young and capable, having founded Velvet Sky Ballroom on your own. You're an outstanding young woman in all of Novaria. Amelia will have to learn a lot from you."

Susanna noticed Owen's change in attitude but didn't mind.

She smiled and said, "Don't be so modest. Amelia is a very smart girl. With a dad like you guiding her, no way she'll be worse than me in the future."

Owen's expression softened a lot after hearing this, and he looked at Amelia with admiration. At this moment, he completely forgot about Vivian, who was nursing her wounds nearby.

Susanna glanced at the acting general manager, "I can't allow you to continue working at Velvet Sky Ballroom today. After all, the mistake you made is a matter of company principle. Zero tolerance."

Soon, the secretary brought people to take the acting general manager away.

Susanna looked at the guests, "I'm really sorry to meet everyone like this today. Over the years, I founded Velvet Sky Ballroom by myself and designed all the interiors. I've poured a lot of effort into it. I hope everyone will support us in the future."

"Ms. Jones, why have you always kept your true identity under wraps? Is there a reason for that?"

Aaron, standing nearby, heard someone ask this and turned his attention to the woman holding the microphone.

Susanna, in a simple evening dress, stood on the stage. The light hit her just right, making her look like the moon in the night sky, radiant and dazzling.

"Aaron, what do you think? Seeing Susanna become so outstanding, do you feel inferior?"

Hearing Sam's voice, Aaron turned to see him, "Why are you here?"

Sam grinned, "I heard today's investment party was wild, even with some catfights. I didn't want to miss the show, so I rushed over. But it looks like the drama's over. What a bummer. If I'd known it was this juicy, I would've come with you."

He added, "But I didn't expect Susanna to be the owner behind Velvet Sky Ballroom. Doesn't that mean your chances of collaborating with them are shot?"

Aaron smirked, "Why do you say that? I think my collaboration with Velvet Sky Ballroom is a done deal."

Sam looked shocked, "Aaron, who gave you the guts to say that?"

Aaron rolled up his sleeves and said calmly, "In business these days, it's all about connections. Given my history with Susanna, do you think our collaboration would have any issues?"

Sam laughed mercilessly, "With you like this, you couldn't even win Susanna back, and you still dream of collaborating with her? I'm telling you, you have no chance."

"Alright, you can shut up now." Aaron didn't want to chat with Sam and looked back at Susanna on the stage, his gaze intense.

The woman who used to be so submissive in front of him had become so dazzling that he couldn't look away.

Susanna, standing on the stage, felt an unignorable gaze.

She noticed Aaron's deep gaze in the audience, which made her a bit uncomfortable.

Susanna took a deep breath and answered, "The reason I never revealed my identity was to prove my ability, not relying on my family to succeed in business."

After she finished speaking, Aaron was the first to applaud.

Seeing this, the people around also applauded together. After all, everyone knew about Susanna and Aaron's relationship.

Aaron was Susanna's ex-husband, and she was the only daughter of the Jones Family, Novaria's wealthiest family.

Such an identity meant she didn't need to work hard.

But Susanna was still so talented and hardworking.

Amelia was naturally the most enthusiastic in her applause. After all, she had come this far thanks to Susanna's secret help.

She glanced at Vivian, who was still wrapped in bandages. Despite being kicked out by Susanna, Vivian shamelessly stayed.

Amelia really admired Vivian's psychological resilience.

She deliberately said, "Vivian, you should learn more from Susanna. Look at her; at your age, she has already founded her own company and developed it so well."
