Chapter 461 Identity
Sam, with a smirk, said, "Yo, where's the Abbott Group's crew? They were supposed to sign the deal with the Thornberrys, right?"
He was getting a bit antsy.
Roman chimed in, "Chill, man. It's not time yet. Why you so jumpy?"
Susanna shot a glance at Sam and said, "Got something to tell ya. There's a dude here claiming to be Mr. Ross from Lindwell. Wanna meet him?"
"No way! Last I heard, the Thornberrys met Mr. Ross, and now he's here? Where's this joker? I gotta see who's trying to pull a fast one on me!"
Sam was ready to throw down if this guy actually showed up.
Kayle piped up, "Mr. Ross is right here."
But when Kayle looked around, the guy was nowhere to be seen.
Someone nearby said, "Mr. Ross just hit the restroom. He'll be back soon."
Roman turned to Sam and said, "When the real Mr. Ross shows up, he's gonna blow your cover. Don't get too cocky."
Sam, with a cold stare, said, "Fine, let's see who this Mr. Ross really is."
He couldn't believe someone had the guts to impersonate him!
Soon enough, a young guy walked out of the hotel restroom and into the hall.
Kayle, with eagle eyes, said, "Mr. Ross is back."
Everyone turned to look.
Sam spotted the guy and immediately sneered, "So it's you."
Susanna watched the drama unfold from the sidelines.
Sam took a few steps forward, making the young guy go pale and backpedal like he'd seen a ghost.
Sam sneered, "Why you hiding? You got some nerve, pretending to be me! How dare you!"
The young guy's face went white, but he still insisted, "I didn't impersonate you."
Sam grabbed the guy's collar and looked at Kayle and Roman, "You didn't impersonate me? Then why were they calling you Mr. Ross just now?"
The young guy was so guilty he couldn't say a word.
Kayle looked at the young guy in surprise and asked, "Mr. Ross, what's going on? These two are the ones I told you about, the ones pretending to be you and Mr. Abbott."
The young guy looked at Sam, then at Aaron, and his legs turned to jelly.
He didn't expect them to actually show up at today's signing ceremony. This was Philly, far from Lindwell. How could they just happen to be here today?
The young guy was sweating bullets. He'd been pretending to be Sam under someone else's orders to seal the deal with the Thornberrys.
Sam grabbed the young guy's neck and said, "Tell them, who am I?"
"You're Mr. Ross."
"And you? Who are you?"
"I'm just a fake, a relative of the Ross family."
After the young guy finished talking, Sam shoved him to the ground and pinned his arm, saying, "Impersonating me and fooling everyone, making them think I'm the fake one. You've got some serious guts!"
"Mr. Ross, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I was just following orders and doing it for money."
The crowd went wild, realizing the young guy was indeed a fraud!
A reporter, buzzing with excitement, said, "So this guy's a fake, and the one brought by Ms. Jones is the real Mr. Ross!"
"Who would've thought someone would be gutsy enough to impersonate someone else and trick people?"
Kayle, watching the whole scene, looked at the young guy in disbelief. She asked, "What did you say? Are you an imposter?"
How could this be!
Roman, feeling shaky, angrily said to the young guy, "Weren't you introduced by the Abbott Group's branch? Didn't you say you were Mr. Ross? How dare you lie to me?"
"I was just doing it for money."
Roman seemed unable to accept the truth and looked at Sam, asking, "So you're the real one. But if you're real, then who is this person next to you?"
Roman looked at Aaron, whom he had always thought was just a poor bodyguard.
If this Sam was real, then that poor bodyguard must truly be Aaron!
For a moment, Roman couldn't handle the harsh truth.
Susanna followed Roman's gaze to Aaron and said, "That's right, this Sam is real, so the bodyguard next to him is also the real Aaron."
Kayle, unable to stand, said in shock, "No way, how could this be? He was just a poor bodyguard. How could he be the president of the Abbott Group?"
Kayle never imagined that the poor bodyguard she had always looked down on was actually the president of the Abbott Group!
Roman, looking panicked, thought about the cooperation between the Thornberry family and the Abbott family. If they ticked off the other party and lost the deal, what would they do?
Susanna, with her arms crossed and a mocking smile, looked at their confusion and said, "Got nothing to say now, huh? The truth is out."
Kayle, trembling with anger, wished she could just disappear. It was too embarrassing.
A nearby reporter said, "The Thornberry family must have been duped. After all, Mr. Ross and Mr. Abbott are from Lindwell, so it's understandable they haven't met them before."
Roman quickly responded and looked at Sam. He apologized, "Yeah, we were tricked too. Mr. Ross, please don't take this to heart. We've always respected you, and you're a valued guest of the Thornberry family."
"Enough, what's the point of saying this now? Who would dare to be a valued guest of the Thornberry family? Do you think anyone cares?"
After saying that, Sam broke the young guy's arm.
Seeing this, Kayle and Roman turned even paler.
