Chapter 178 Break Dick's Leg

Susanna's face was calm and distant as she commanded, "Delete it now."

Dick was stunned, probably not expecting her to demand immediate deletion. They locked eyes for a moment before he turned to the computer and deleted the post he had just published.

He noticed it was already gaining traction. If it stayed up for a few more days, it might spread beyond the campus. If people outside found out about the rumors between him and Susanna, it could actually benefit Epic Horizon.

Since Susanna joined Epic Horizon, the company has gained momentum and shown significant improvement. If she were to marry him, they could jointly propel Epic Horizon to even greater heights.

Dick was always calculating benefits in his mind as he quickly deleted the post. He looked up at Susanna and said, "I've deleted everything now. Susanna, is this okay? It was my fault for not thinking it through. Please don't be mad."

Susanna took out her phone and refreshed the forum, seeing that the post was indeed gone. She breathed a slight sigh of relief; it was good that the post was deleted.

Looking at Dick, she said, "Dick, given how things have escalated today, I think it's best for me to resign. I won't be returning to Epic Horizon. Luckily, I've completed my last assignment, so my colleagues can handle the rest."

"Susanna, don't resign. Today's incident was my fault; you don't need to resign," said Dick.

"Dick, I really don't want to work here anymore. I'm sorry."

Susanna's tone was firm this time; she felt it was no longer suitable to continue at Epic Horizon. She spoke calmly, "A formal resignation letter is unnecessary as I'm not under official employment with the company. Moreover, I'll assess the situation post-graduation.

"Susanna, I know you're mad at me. The position at Epic Horizon will always be open for you. Once you graduate, you can join us formally. You'll always be a part of Epic Horizon," replied Dick.

"We'll see about that. Dick, I'm leaving now."

Susanna didn't want to stay any longer. She went back to her desk, packed up a few things, and handed over her orders to a colleague.

The colleague asked cautiously, "Susanna, are you resigning?"

"Yes, I had planned to leave earlier, but I stayed to finish my orders. If there are any issues, feel free to ask me."

After saying that, Susanna left the company with her personal belongings. As she walked away, she felt a weight lifted off her shoulders.

She immediately went back to the study room at school, where Flandre stormed up to her. "Dick is too much! How could he spread such rumors? Susanna, you should hold him accountable instead of letting him off so easily."

"Continuing to pursue this would be troublesome and wouldn't affect Dick much. In cases of rumors, girls suffer more. Dick is quite popular at school, and the situation wouldn't be better than we expect. So, handling it this way is the best," Susanna explained.

After Susanna finished speaking, Flandre looked at her in disbelief. "Susanna, I suddenly feel like you've matured a lot. What you just said is really impressive."

Susanna couldn't help but laugh. "Is that a compliment?"

She had experienced two similar incidents of cyber-bullying before. Initially, she was very angry, but later she talked a lot with Daniel who, as a lawyer, had taught her a lot about the law and shared many cases he had encountered. She had learned a lot and gained a lot of knowledge.

Susanna always admired her brothers; each of them had their own areas of expertise. So this time, when faced with rumors about her and Dick, she found the IP address of the poster herself without involving Arthur. Drawing on the legal insights she had gained from Daniel, Susanna ultimately decided to have the post deleted and refrain from taking the issue any further.

Flandre was still a bit angry, complaining, "Why does Dick believe he can get away with this? Does he assume everyone has to adore him? He's so self-absorbed. I never picked up on it before. Something doesn't feel right; Susanna, be cautious."

"Okay," Susanna replied.

Now, with six brothers backing her, she wasn't afraid of these things. However, Susanna overlooked one crucial detail. Deleting the post didn't erase all traces.

Soon, Ethan discovered the situation and was trembling with fear as he instructed, "I had previously requested that you cancel any upcoming events, remove all promotions related to Dick, and prohibit Dick from entering the school."

Someone lacking foresight would only bring the school down. Who could have predicted that Dick, a man who thrives on others' support, would pick a fight with the ultra-wealthy Aaron of all people? What a foolish move!

Ethan promptly reached out to Aaron, but the call was picked up by an assistant. He elaborated on the forum incident, "We've removed all traces of the posts and strictly instructed students not to bring it up. We hope Mr. Abbott won't be angry. Our school strongly condemns Dick's inappropriate conduct."

As soon as Tyler found out about it, he immediately looked into the forum incident. Upon viewing the content, his eyelids twitched several times. This Dick really didn't know his place. Last time, he confessed to Mrs. Abbott in front of Mr. Abbott, and this time he directly posted rumors!

When Aaron came out after meeting a major client, he glanced at Tyler. "Go ahead, what's the matter?"

"Ethan called. It's about Mrs. Abbott. Do you want to hear it?" Tyler reported. He thought he should ask first since the boss had come to the neighboring city to avoid the divorce issue.

Adjusting his tie, Aaron walked out. "Alright, spill it. What's the latest with Susanna at school this time?"

"Take a look first."

Tyler handed over the tablet. Although the post had been deleted, someone had taken screenshots. After reading the screenshots, the air around Aaron turned much colder. He asked, "Isn't Dick's Epic Horizon funded by the school?"

"Yes, it has always enjoyed policy benefits."

Aaron finished speaking, his mood visibly sour. "Inform Ethan. I shouldn't need to explicitly outline the required actions, right?"

He was never a magnanimous man. He had never taken Dick seriously before, but this guy repeatedly tried to undermine him. No man could tolerate that.

He added, "Find some people to break Dick's legs and keep him away from my wife!"
