Chapter 140 Acting Spoiled in Front of Her Brother

Susanna sighed and looked around. "Austin, come with me over here."

"Why do we have to go over there? Can't we talk here?"

Austin's expression was filled with refusal.

Susanna tugged at his white coat. "Austin, come with me. It's not a place for talking; we might disturb Grandma Maria."

In the end, Austin relented.

Susanna led Austin to the other end of the hallway. She lowered her head as she spoke with a guilty tone, "Austin, listen to me first."

"Alright, I'm listening. Tell me, what's your relationship with Aaron, and whose child is in your belly?"

Susanna took a deep breath. "Austin, you probably already guessed it. The child is Aaron's."

"What? That scoundrel bullied you? I'm going to break his legs!"

Upon hearing this, Austin was furious. A man who had been divorced twice had gotten his sister pregnant!

Austin's eyes reddened with anger. He was determined to kill that bastard Aaron!

He dared to bully his sister and get her pregnant!

Austin couldn't tolerate him.

Susanna had anticipated his reaction. She quickly grabbed Austin's arm. "Austin, calm down."

"I can't calm down. Let go of me. I'm going to find Aaron right now!"

The man's eyes were filled with murderous intent, and he already devised countless ways to eliminate Aaron and dispose of his body!

Susanna was terrified, her eyelids twitching. "Austin, listen to me first."

"No need to say more. I know everything. Susanna, stay at home and wait. After I deal with that bastard Aaron, I'll take you back to Novaria. Don't worry, no one can harm us," Austin said.

"Austin, it’s not what you think."

Austin looked down at her. " Susanna, don't be afraid. You were once alone and defenseless, but now you have six brothers. Even if we each spit once, we could drown that bastard Aaron. Besides, our fifth brother is a lawyer. He's experienced in handling such matters. Even if Aaron somehow survives, we can still send him to jail."

Susanna's eyelids twitched again as she quickly said, "Austin, the law might not be of much use."

"Aaron bullying you is a fact. He's an old man who's been divorced twice. Even if he's the president of the Abbott family, we won't let him off."

"Um, Austin, I haven't gone through the divorce procedures with Aaron yet, and this child was conceived while we were still married. Technically, he didn't bully me."

After Susanna finished explaining, Austin was completely stunned, seemingly unable to process it.

After a while, Austin supported himself against the wall, feeling a bit dizzy.

Susanna quickly supported him. "Austin, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm just a bit of confused. Susanna, did you just say you haven't gone through the divorce procedures with Aaron? You're married? And your husband is Aaron?"

Susanna nodded.

"Susanna, why didn't you tell us about such an important matter earlier? You've been hiding it from us all this time! If I hadn't accidentally found out you were pregnant, were you planning to never tell us?"

Susanna answered reluctantly, "Marrying Aaron was an accident. I didn't want anyone to know about my relationship with him."

"Susanna, we are your family. You should have told us about something like this."

Austin finally understood. The woman who married the comatose Aaron back then was their own sister! Just the thought of it filled him with both anger and heartbreak.

Back then, Erica also wanted to marry Aaron, but Edward stopped her. He probably thought Aaron would die and prevented the marriage. But they heard that a girl from the Abbott family had married Aaron.

Austin deeply regretted not finding Susanna three years ago.

Susanna felt incredibly guilty. "I know I was wrong now. At first, I wasn't familiar with you all and didn't know how to tell you. And by then, I was already discussing divorce with Aaron."

Moreover, the Abbott family had immense power in Lindwell; she didn't want to bring trouble to her brothers.

That was why she decided not to tell her brothers about her relationship with Aaron.

Susanna looked up. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kept it from you all this time."

Austin sighed heavily and patted her on the head. "No need to apologize because we are the ones who should be saying sorry. If we had found you earlier, none of this would have happened. You wouldn't have had to suffer so much."

Now that things had come to this, how could he blame his sister?

No wonder when Susanna was kidnapped last time, Aaron acted so quickly upon receiving the news. He and Edward had even discussed being wary of Aaron having improper intentions towards Susanna.

No one could have imagined that Susanna and Aaron had been married for three years and even had a child.

Austin looked at her, "Susanna, does the Abbott family know you're pregnant and are they willing to let you go?"

Susanna shook her head. "Actually, the Abbott family doesn't know I'm really pregnant. Grandma Maria said she would only agree to surgery if I was pregnant. For her health, I planned to admit I was pregnant, but the Abbott family didn't believe me and thought I was lying. So I just went along with it."

Austin understood the whole story and frowned. "The Abbott family is simply too much! Susanna, were you forced to marry Aaron back then?"

"No, it was voluntary because I liked Aaron at that time," Susanna replied.

Austin covered his head, feeling overwhelmed by everything he had heard that day.

Susanna forced a smile. "But now I've decided not to like him anymore. However, Grandma Maria has been very kind to me, so I have to keep up the act in front of her until her surgery is over."

Austin recommended, "Susanna, can you really get over Aaron? If so, I suggest not keeping the child either."

Susanna touched her belly. "Austin, I want to keep the child. Before you found me, the baby was my only family. I had already decided to keep him. Now that I've found my family, I can't just abandon the baby."

Austin felt heartbroken, especially when she said the baby was her only family. It felt like a stab to his heart.

His eyes reddened slightly, and he reached out to hug he., "Alright, we'll keep the child as you wish."

Now, whatever his sister asked for, he felt he had to agree immediately.

After all, they owed her so much, and no amount of compensation would suffice.

Susanna leaned into her brother's embrace, secretly wiping away her tears. Thankfully, her brother understood her decision.

At that moment, she felt a cold gaze on her back, making her scalp tingle!
