Chapter 244 Susanna, You Crazy Woman

The next morning, Susanna woke up with twitching eyelids and a bad feeling. She took a cab to school, and as soon as she arrived, the counselor approached her. "Susanna, can you contact Wendy right away?"

"Wendy? We haven't talked since I found out she reported me anonymously. What's up with her?" Susanna asked.

"The school found out Wendy broke some rules before and, combined with her anonymous report, decided to expel her. We need her to come in for paperwork, but we can't reach her."

Susanna was surprised by the harsh punishment; she thought it would just be a warning.

The counselor added, "Wendy also took photos of her roommates in the dorm and posted them online. We have solid evidence, so we're expelling her."

Susanna realized she never really knew Wendy and felt betrayed. She nodded, "I honestly don't know where Wendy is. She probably doesn't want to see me either."

"Alright, we've called the police. Let me know if you hear anything about Wendy."

After the counselor left, Susanna went to the music school. In an empty classroom with a piano, she remembered playing with Wendy. It felt like a distant dream.

"Still dreaming of being a pianist? That music team that performed the other day is way out of your league."

Susanna turned and saw Erica at the door. She replied calmly, "As if you could get in."

"I just didn't want to. Do you really think, as the heir to the Jones family, I couldn't get in?" Erica searched Susanna's eyes for the girl she used to know but saw only a faint glimmer. Susanna had changed a lot.

According to Wendy, Susanna had forgotten her time in the orphanage due to an illness, remembering only the piano pieces the director taught her. But Erica knew what those pieces really meant and would never remind Susanna or tell the Jones family. This way, Susanna would never return to the Jones family.

Susanna's eyes showed a hint of sarcasm. "But I remember someone got rejected by that team. Do you think no one knows?"

Brian had told her Erica wanted to join the music team but got rejected.

Erica's face twisted in displeasure. She had planned to show off but didn't expect Susanna to know.

Switching topics, Erica snapped, "So what if I was rejected? You still don't stand a chance. I've been playing piano since I was a kid, learning from top professors. You're just a beginner; don't even think about it. You don't have the talent."

Susanna laughed, "Yeah, I'm a newbie. So what are you so afraid of?"

Erica saw Susanna's familiar smile and remembered the nightmare from her childhood. Back then, Kieran always praised Susanna for her talent, saying she'd achieve great things. Erica was jealous and worked hard to learn piano to make up for her childhood regrets. Now, seeing Susanna again, she couldn't control her jealousy.

Erica quickly changed the subject. "What are you doing here? Where's Wendy?"

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" Susanna smirked, walking towards Erica. "Did you have Wendy approach me and then report me anonymously?"

Erica's expression turned strange. "What are you talking about? Wendy reported you as a friend; you should reflect on yourself."

Susanna grabbed Erica's hair and dragged her into the classroom.

Erica screamed, "Susanna, let go of me, you crazy woman!"

Susanna tightened her grip, looking down at Erica. "See, I'm a stranger attacking you. Shouldn't you reflect on whether you're just too annoying?"

Erica, in intense pain, could only grit her teeth and curse, "Susanna, you're dead! I'm telling you!"

"Really? Everyone dies eventually. What's so scary about that?"

"Susanna, all my brothers are in Lindwell. If they find out I'm being bullied, they won't let you off!"

"But there's no surveillance here. No one can prove it was me." Susanna wasn't scared. She had learned some legal tricks from Daniel, who worried she might get bullied.

Erica, furious, shouted, "I won't let you off! I'll hire the best lawyer and make sure you go to jail!"

"Then I'll be waiting," Susanna said, pushing Erica away. She calmly pulled out a tissue to wipe her hands, then looked Erica straight in the eye. "Next time you talk nonsense, I'll yank out every last strand of your hair."

Erica, pointing at Susanna, fumed, "You stop right there!"

Susanna ignored her and walked away.

Erica wanted to chase her but realized her hair was a mess, and her scalp hurt. Frustrated, she called her assistant. "Bring me a hat, quickly."

Fuming, Erica kicked the piano. She had come to find Wendy, hoping Wendy could help her replace Susanna. But Wendy had disappeared.

The most hateful thing was that Susanna dared to lay hands on her. If Susanna ever returned to the Jones family...

She couldn't let Susanna return to the Jones family.

Soon, the assistant walked in with a hat. "Ms. Jones, the principal has made it clear that Wendy must be expelled."

"The principal wouldn't even consider the Jones family? Did you mention our investment and donations?"

"I did, but the principal was firm."

Erica was livid. If the school didn't reverse the expulsion, Wendy wouldn't come back to cooperate with her.

The assistant continued, "But I heard the Jones family will attend the graduation banquet this weekend. They're donating to build a new exhibition hall for the design school."

Erica was surprised. "How come I didn't know about this?"
