Chapter 554 This Time You Can't Escape

Susanna watched as Vivian dashed out and planted herself right in front of Ramond.

Vivian glanced down and saw Ramond was hurt. She quickly asked, all worried, "Are you okay? How did you get hurt? Did someone push you?"

Hearing this, Susanna had a hunch. Was this how Vivian usually manipulated Ramond?

The next second, she noticed Ramond looking her way. Sure enough, Ramond pointed at her and said, "She pushed me."

Susanna wasn't surprised at all by this outcome.

Ramond must have been spoiled rotten by Vivian.

After all, Vivian's only support now was Ramond. She needed him to stay close to Owen, so she kept a tight grip on him.

Vivian, hearing Ramond's words, glared at Susanna and said, "Susanna, I knew it! What are you trying to do to Ramond? I'm warning you, if you hurt him in any way, you'll regret it."

Susanna looked calmly at Vivian. "Are you sure he's not lying?"

"Why would he lie? If he says you pushed him, then you did."

Susanna's eyes turned cold. "These days, you need proof to back up your claims. If you falsely accuse me, I can sue you for defamation. Besides, the nanny saw everything. Did I push him?"

Vivian turned impatiently to the nanny. "You, tell me, did she push Ramond?"

The nanny's eyes flickered. Just as she was about to speak, Ramond threw a toy at her. "Shut up! If you say anything, I'll make sure you lose your job and starve."

Susanna was shocked at how vicious Ramond's words had become in such a short time.

The nanny quickly said, "I didn't see clearly how he fell."

Vivian jumped on that. "Did you hear that? The nanny didn't see clearly, so Ramond's words are the evidence."

She felt a bit smug. Catching Susanna in a mistake would be perfect right now.

After yesterday's party, Owen had been ignoring her.

If she could pin something on Susanna, it would only help her in the future.

Susanna pointed to the surveillance camera on the ceiling. "Did you forget about the cameras? Ramond's words alone aren't enough."

Ramond shrank back, looking guilty.

Vivian's expression turned complicated. "Ramond wouldn't lie."

Susanna said coldly, "Kids don't lie, but they do make things up. If you don't believe me, we can check the footage. But we can't access it ourselves. We can call the cops and let them check it. How about that?"

Vivian felt a bit uneasy. She looked seriously at Ramond and said, "Ramond, tell me clearly how you fell. Did she push you?"

Ramond suddenly lashed out and pushed Vivian. "I said she pushed me! Why don't you believe me?"

Just as Susanna was about to say something, Aviana walked over. "Susanna, what are you doing here?"

"Nothing, just dealing with a crazy person biting people randomly."

Vivian got all riled up. "Who are you calling a crazy person Ramond said you pushed him. As a mom, I gotta stand by my kid. You're a mom too; you should get that."

"Exactly because I'm a mom, I can't get where you're coming from. Can't you see what Ramond's turning into? To you, he's just a pawn, right?" Susanna thought that while Ramond was a bit spoiled before, he was still a normal kid.

But now, it was clear something was off with Ramond, and she felt it had a lot to do with Vivian.

Vivian, hearing this, shouted like a mad hen, "What business is it of yours? How I raise my son is my business. What right do you have to judge me?"

Susanna stayed calm. "Today, I can let it slide. But if he messes with someone tougher next time who insists on getting to the bottom of it, do you think you can dodge responsibility?"

"Alright, Susanna, you spoke like that. Ramond must have been scared when he fell and started talking nonsense. You wouldn't hold a grudge against a kid, would you?"

Aviana, who was listening, looked confused and asked Susanna, "What's going on?"

"Aviana, it's nothing serious. Don't worry."

After saying this, Susanna turned to Vivian again. "Did today's entertainment news have anything to do with you? Do you think using such tactics will change anything?"

Vivian's eyes showed a hint of guilt, but she forced herself to say, "Who said it had anything to do with me? Don't talk nonsense; you need evidence."

Susanna didn't want to waste any more time with Vivian. She suddenly lowered her voice and said, "You probably don't know, but Maria's health has improved a lot. She might wake up soon."

"What?"

Vivian's face instantly turned pale, and she said in shock, "Maria has been in a vegetative state for so many years. The doctors said there was no hope unless a miracle happened. How could she wake up?"

The key point was that if Maria woke up, the things she did back then would be exposed.

"It's simple. I happen to have several doses of the special medicine Maria needs. After systematic treatment, her condition has improved a lot. It's only a matter of time before she wakes up. Why do you seem unhappy about it?"

"What does the Abbott Family have to do with me?"

Vivian's eyes flickered as she hurriedly left the store, holding Ramond's hand.

She walked quickly, afraid that Susanna would catch up.

Her mind was filled with Susanna's words. Could Maria really be waking up?

Thinking about what she did back then, she was terrified.

If Maria woke up, everything she did would be exposed. She had worked so hard to get to where she was today. Would it all be ruined?

A trace of hatred flashed in Vivian's eyes. Why did Susanna always have to ruin things whenever she tried to start over?

It was like this with the Abbott Family, and now in Novaria too.

Why couldn't Susanna just disappear?
