Chapter 217 There's No Marriage That Can't Be Ended in This World

Susanna's eyelids twitched at Daniel's words.

Just as she was about to speak, Aaron reminded coldly, "That agreement's been torn up, and Susanna didn't sign it. Legally, we're still married."

Daniel's face turned red with anger. He stepped forward, glaring at Aaron. "Say that again?"

The two men were about the same height, and the tension was thick.

Sensing things were getting out of hand, Susanna quickly grabbed Daniel's arm. "Come on, is this really worth fighting over?"

"Susanna, stay out of this! I can help you get a divorce!" Daniel snapped, his anger directed at Aaron.

'What's he so smug about? If Susanna wants a divorce, it should be easy!' he thought.

Aaron's lips curled into a cold smile. "Oh, really? Go ahead and try!"

Feeling scared, Susanna pulled Daniel aside. "That's enough. Let's go. I'm getting hungry," she whispered urgently.

"Susanna, don't be afraid of him! He's just trying to scare you. There's no such thing as an unbreakable marriage," Daniel said.

Susanna nodded. "I know. Anyway, we're almost at the one-month cooling-off period. Talking about this now is pointless. Let's go."

Aaron thought he had the upper hand, but Susanna's words wiped the smile off his face.

He watched them leave, his eyes dark and unreadable.

Finally, Aaron kicked a small stone by his foot, feeling more agitated. He turned to Tyler. "How many days are left until the cooling-off period ends?"

"About ten days," Tyler replied.

Aaron frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Usually, the cooling-off period for a divorce is one month. After that, there's typically another month to finalize the paperwork, so there are about ten days left. There's still plenty of time," Tyler explained.

"I didn't ask about that."

Aaron's expression darkened. Thinking about the remaining time, he pressed his lips together. "What if the time runs out and the paperwork isn't done?"

"Generally, if the time runs out, you have to reapply," Tyler answered.

Hearing this, a glimmer of light flashed in Aaron's eyes. If the time ran out, they hadto reapply?

Tyler continued, "In addition to filing for divorce, one party can also hire a lawyer and proceed with a court divorce. That's another way to end the marriage."

Aaron's expression turned serious. "Find the best divorce attorney you can."

Meanwhile, Susanna sat next to Daniel. She glanced at him. "Daniel, how did you find me here?"

"Brian called you, but Aaron answered. They argued, and Brian called me to ask about your relationship with Aaron," Daniel replied.

"Did you tell Brian about my relationship with Aaron?"

Susanna was gradually accepting that her brothers knew about her relationship with Aaron. After all, it couldn't be hidden for long, and she was about to move to Novaria.

So, it was fine if they knew.

Daniel spoke while driving, "There was no way to hide it. Brian, being the love expert he is, probably guessed it. So I called the school, checked a few nearby hospitals, and found you here."

"Daniel, I'm sorry for making you worry," Susanna said softly.

"Don't worry about it. Your well-being is what's most important. Despite my strong feelings towards Aaron, it's fortunate that he was there for you this time. Susanna, you don't have to go through this alone. You have brothers and family now."

Susanna smiled. "I know. It's just that these days are special. I want to finish my credits and get my diploma quickly so I can move to Novaria with you all. That's why I'm working so hard."

Daniel nodded, understanding. Edward had been busy with this matter recently.

He glanced at her. "Susanna, when do you plan to tell Edward and the others about your relationship with Aaron?"

"I plan to tell them after I move to Novaria. I'm worried Edward might confront Aaron on my behalf, and since I'm leaving, there's no need for unnecessary complications. I hope Edward won't be mad at me for keeping it from him," Susanna responded.

"Edward won't be mad. And at that time, I have something to tell you too."

The Jones brothers had discussed it and decided to tell Susanna the truth when she returned to Novaria.

Susanna was the real heiress of the Jones family; Erica was just a fraud.

Susanna nodded. "Alright."

She didn't ask much, trusting that her brothers wouldn't do anything to hurt her.

When she got home, everything was as usual. But when Brian came over, he had a worried look on his face. After Madison went to the kitchen, he spoke in a low voice, "Susanna, are you okay? You weren't bullied, were you?"

"No, I fainted from low blood sugar in the auditorium, and Aaron took me to the hospital."

"Isn't that what Aaron should do?" Brian sneered.

Seeing Brian's expression, Susanna knew something was off. She quickly tugged on Brian's arm. "Brian, I didn't mean to hide this from you."

"I'm not blaming you. I'm just angry. You married Aaron, and he didn't cherish you, even wanting a divorce! I can't swallow this anger," Brian said with anger as well as concern.

Daniel chimed in, "I've already dealt with Aaron for Susanna."

Hearing Brian and Daniel discussing how to deal with Aaron, Susanna's eyelids kept twitching. She sneaked back to her room to call Austin.

Austin was the only one who knew the whole story.

Brian and Daniel only knew about her divorce from Aaron; they didn't know she was pregnant.

Susanna called Austin, but there was no answer.

He was probably busy with surgery, so she texted him about what happened today, asking him to talk to Brian and Daniel.

The next morning, when Susanna woke up and checked her phone, she saw a headline.

#Genius Singer Anna Lawson Changes Boyfriend Again, Secret Date at Restaurant.#

Susanna paused at the words "genius singer."

The last time there were rumors about this genius singer, it was with Aaron.

Did Aaron get dumped so quickly?

She couldn't help but click on the entertainment headline. This time, only a photo of two people from behind was taken, but she felt the back looked very familiar.
