Chapter 407 Mr. Abbott Also Went to Novaria

Susanna shot Aaron a look, not even waiting for him to say anything. "Forget it, no need to explain. Once I get my memory back, I'll dig into what really went down."

She figured Aaron's story was probably the same as Elaine's.

Checking the time, Susanna said, "Alright, that's it. I gotta head home."

"I'll drive you to the airport."

"Nah, don't bother. I can get there myself."

Susanna shut him down quick, but before leaving, she paused and looked at Aaron. "Mr. Abbott, if we need your help for more treatment..."

Aaron cut her off, "For any follow-up, just let me know. Lillian's my daughter. I'd give my life for her."

Susanna nodded at his firm response. "Thanks."

Then she turned and walked out of the villa without looking back, leaving Aaron staring after her.

Aaron watched her go, his eyes full of mixed emotions. Once her car was out of sight, he turned to Tyler. "Get ready to head to the airport."

Tyler looked shocked. "Mr. Abbott, are you going to Novaria? But sir, you have a big contract to discuss in the next few days."

Leaving now would seriously hurt their chances of sealing the deal. He couldn't believe Aaron, who always put work first, would just up and leave!

"You're talking too much."

With that, Aaron strode out of the villa.

Susanna got to the airport fast and boarded a private jet to Novaria.

But then an airport staffer came up to her. "Ms. Jones, sorry, but you might have to share this jet with another guest. Is that okay?"

Susanna frowned. "I booked a private jet, and now I gotta share? I'm in a hurry, no time to wait."

She had arranged for her own jet, but it was used to transport bone marrow and Lillian back to Novaria.

"Ms. Jones, we apologize. We had this private jet for you, but another VIP also needs to go to Novaria around the same time. Any chance you could share the flight?"

"Let that VIP take the next flight. I'll pay double. I need to leave now."

Susanna wasn't about to wait. Every second counted.

She turned and boarded the jet with the bone marrow, not wanting to deal with the staff anymore.

Still feeling uneasy, she opened the box to check. Once she saw the bone marrow was safe, she closed it with a sigh of relief.

After the empty box fiasco last time, she had to be extra careful.

But after sitting on the plane for 10 minutes without taking off, Susanna got impatient. She looked at her assistant. "Go find out when we're taking off."

Soon enough, a staff member came over. "Ms. Jones, we're about to take off. Sorry for the hold-up."

Since they apologized and the plane was finally about to get moving, Susanna let it slide. All she wanted was to get to Novaria ASAP.

She pulled out her phone and shot a message to the group: [I'm on the plane, be back soon.]

Edward replied right away: [Got it, I'll have someone pick you up.]

Aviana chimed in: [I've got Lillian with me. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her.]

Susanna trusted Aviana with Lillian. In the Jones family, Aviana was the only female elder and she adored Lillian.

Just then, she heard footsteps outside the jet.

Susanna put down her phone and saw someone climbing up the ladder with a suitcase. She frowned. Had she been waiting for this person for 10 minutes?

Her mood soured. Who had the nerve to make her wait?

A man in a suit walked in, looking annoyingly familiar.

Susanna's eyes widened. "You? Seriously?"

What was Aaron doing heading to Novaria?

"Why do you look so bummed to see me? Expecting someone else?"

Susanna nodded. "I thought it was some jerk making me wait for over 10 minutes. Turns out it was you!"

"Sorry, got stuck in traffic."

Aaron plopped down confidently in the seat next to her, making the space feel a lot smaller.

Susanna smirked. "So, Mr. Abbott's going to Novaria too. If you'd told me, I could've given you a ride."

"Better not. You might throw me out halfway."

Aaron knew her too well.

Susanna cut to the chase. "Aaron, why are you tagging along to Novaria?"

"Business trip. Got some urgent company stuff. You didn't think I was following you, did you?"

Susanna raised an eyebrow. "Your intentions are pretty obvious."

"Well, while I'm there, I can check on Lillian's treatment. She's my daughter. If she's sick, is it wrong for me to visit?"

Aaron had a point.

Susanna was momentarily speechless. She had suspected Aaron might be onto something, so she tested him.

But maybe he was just visiting Lillian and didn't know about the bone marrow.

Once they were in Novaria, Aaron couldn't control everything. She wasn't worried about him finding out.

Even if he did, there wasn't much he could do in Novaria.

Soon, the plane took off.

Susanna looked at Aaron. "Aren't you worried my brothers will give you a hard time in Novaria? After what happened, they can't stand you."

Aaron replied calmly, "I can't keep running away."

Now that he knew she was Susanna, he had to face the Jones family.

After all, what happened back then was sudden. The Jones family had faked Susanna's death and taken her away for years. He wanted answers.
