Chapter 404 We Need to Settle This Account Right Now

Susanna heard Aaron's words and turned to look at him. His gaze was intense.

What else did he wanna say?

Aaron's voice was steady. "My mom's still at the villa."

"If you hadn't brought it up, I would've totally forgotten. I haven't dealt with that yet, how can I just leave?"

Earlier, Susanna was busy getting the bone marrow sent back. She felt like she was missing something, and now Aaron had jogged her memory.

"So, what's the plan?"

"You'll see when we get there. Some things need to be handled face-to-face. Plus, I got some questions for Vivian."

Susanna turned to her secretary. "Get the bone marrow to the airport first. I'll head over once I'm done here."

Susanna and Aaron left the hospital together.

Sitting in the car, Susanna watched a helicopter take off from the hospital rooftop. She then looked away and said coldly, "Let's roll."

Once the car started, neither Susanna nor Aaron spoke.

Susanna could feel Aaron's eyes on her the whole time, but she didn't break the silence.

At this point, she couldn't just let them off the hook.

The car stopped outside the villa.

Aaron couldn't help but ask, "How are you gonna handle this? I deserve to know."

"You'll find out soon enough."

As Susanna was about to get out of the car, Aaron grabbed her wrist. She instinctively tried to pull back, but he was stronger.

He looked down at her and said, "Let me go in and talk to them first. I'll make them apologize to you."

"Mr. Abbott, I said if an apology was enough, what would we need the law for? Someone's gotta take responsibility. If it's not your mom, then it's Vivian."

Her tone was firm, no sign of backing down.

Aaron noticed her furrowed brows and finally let go of her hand.

Susanna rubbed her wrist and said, "Go ahead, talk to them first, see who steps up."

Aaron replied in a deep voice, "Alright."

Susanna didn't say anything more and watched Aaron walk into the villa.

A hint of a mocking smile appeared on her face. She wanted to see what choice Aaron would make between Vivian and Maud today.

Being the bad guy felt pretty good, especially since Vivian and Maud had messed with her stuff, almost putting Charles in danger.

They needed a good lesson.

If nothing unexpected happened, there'd be a good show soon.

Susanna paused and walked towards the villa. As she got closer, she heard Vivian and Maud crying in the hall.

Maud sobbed, "Aaron, what do you think about this? Susanna's been tormenting me, you have to stand up for me. And Vivian got disfigured for me, she'll probably have a scar for life!"

Vivian, covered in blood, had a scab forming on the scar on her face.

Vivian, wincing from the pain, looked at Aaron with big, sad eyes. "Aaron, I got hurt protecting Aunt Maud, but I don't want Nova to fool you."

"Yeah, Aaron, I think there's something fishy about Nova. She might be pretending to be Susanna. Did you find the bone marrow at the hospital?"

Aaron's voice was heavy. "I found it. It's already on its way to Novaria."

Vivian's eyes flashed with regret. Why didn't that nurse destroy the bone marrow? It would've been perfect if it was gone!

Maud jumped in, "Aaron, see? The bone marrow's fine. I just wanted to keep it safe. But look at what Susanna did to me and Vivian. She needs to take responsibility and apologize."

Standing at the door, Susanna heard their words and smirked. They wanted her to apologize? What a joke.

She stayed silent, just watching Aaron's back, curious to see how he'd handle it.

Aaron's voice was ice-cold. "Mom, do you even realize the mess you and Vivian made? Besides, she's not the helpless Susanna anymore. She's the Jones family heir now!"

Maud's tone turned guilty. "Even if she's the Jones heir, she can't break the law. What she did was illegal."

If she had known Nova was Susanna, she wouldn't have risked pissing off the Jones family! It's not her fault; it's Susanna's for not saying it sooner!

"And what you did wasn't illegal? Lillian is my daughter. You and Vivian hid the bone marrow. Don't you think that's too much?"

Maud snapped back, "After all these years, she says Lillian is your daughter and you just believe it? She doesn't even look like you. Maybe Lillian is some other guy's kid."

Susanna's face darkened, and she said coldly, "That's still better than some people treating someone else's kid as their own grandson."

Vivian immediately shouted, "What do you mean by that, Nova?"

Leaning against the door, Susanna smirked. "Some people used to flaunt Ramond in front of me, hinting he was Aaron's kid. But turns out, he's not."

Vivian yelled, "Shut up, or I'll rip your mouth apart!"

Susanna's eyes were full of mockery. "Looks like you’ve already forgotten how much that scar hurt, huh?"

Maud, remembering this, looked suspiciously at Aaron. "Aaron, is Ramond really not your kid with Vivian?"

Aaron calmly replied, "No, I never said he was my son."

Maud got anxious. "If Ramond isn't your son, why did you bring them back to the Abbott family and have me look after Ramond? Weren't you implying he was your illegitimate kid?"

Maud had always treated Ramond as Aaron's son, but now she was told he wasn't. Had all her efforts been for nothing?

Aaron was silent for a moment, then explained, "Raymond is actually..."
