Chapter 146 Is Susanna Really This Amazing?

Susanna was only thinking about getting what Arthur had given her yesterday, and she wanted to vent her anger and show Erica and that manager from the demolition department a lesson.

But she didn't expect to encounter an expert here.

'Now that Arthur called, he must know something is wrong,' she thought.

Arthur replied, "No, no, it's just that I noticed the software program being used on my end, so I took a look. I'm worried about your situation. Do you need my help?"

"Not for now. I can handle it myself."

Susanna felt that the program Arthur had given her was sufficient. Although a very skilled expert had appeared, her goal had already been achieved.

"Alright then. If you have any problems, remember to call me anytime," said Arthur.

He couldn't continue asking, lest he expose himself.

After Susanna hung up the phone, she looked at the screen and noticed that the highly skilled hacker on the other end hadn't caught up but had instead come to a halt.

Since the goal was achieved anyway, there was no need to engage with such a skilled person and risk causing trouble for Arthur.

Susanna directly unplugged the USB drive, believing that the manager from the demolition department would now be willing to see her.

"Susanna, what are you doing here?"

When Erica arrived at the company, she immediately saw Susanna sitting in the reception area of the lobby and walked over arrogantly. "This is not a place you should be."

Susanna lifted her eyes, replying, "I'm here to get my money. If not here, where else should I go?"

"Oh, here to get money, huh? Didn't someone say before that they didn't care about the demolition compensation at all? Why are you in such a hurry to come now?" Erica taunted.

She wore a smug expression, confident that Susanna would be concerned about the demolition compensation. Lowering her voice, she said, "If you want the money, it's simple. Just apologize sincerely, and I'll speak to the demolition department right away to arrange the transfer. How does that sound?"

Susanna remained calm. "No. This time, I want you to apologize to me and obediently transfer the money to my account."

Erica chuckled, "Susanna, how can you be so stupid? Are you dreaming? Do you believe that if you don't apologize, I can make sure you never get this money in your lifetime?"

Susanna smirked, "Then I'll just have to continue seeking justice on the company's website. Let's see how your brother handles it when he finds out."

Erica's expression turned forced, and she sneered, "He's my brother. Who do you think he's going to help?"

Susanna sneered. "Let's find out."

"You really don't know what's good for you. Fine, wait here then," retorted Erica.

Erica didn't have time to waste here. She needed to head upstairs to handle the demolition department manager and ensure that the fool didn't ruin everything. If Edward caught wind of her involvement, she'd be in serious trouble.

At this moment, in the CEO's office.

Upon hanging up the phone, Arthur immediately called Edward, "Edward, regarding the hacker incident, have you considered why those specific words appeared on the website? Once you unravel that, the issue might just resolve itself."

"I inquired. It seems like our competitor's attempt to sabotage us," Edward replied.

"Edward, it seems you haven't probed deeply enough. It's certainly not a competitor; there must be another reason."

Arthur knew Susanna too well; it was definitely not because of a competitor.

Edward raised an eyebrow, asking, "Arthur, do you know who the hacker is and are trying to cover for them? Otherwise, why are you making so many excuses?"

Arthur was a bit troubled. "Edward, I suggest you check if it has anything to do with the demolition of Susanna's neighborhood. Look at what you've driven Susanna to; she even hacked into your company's network. Did the demolition department manager bully Susanna?"

Edward was stunned. "You mean the hacker is Susanna?"

"Who else could it be? I've just verified it. Moreover, I personally trained her. I am well-versed in this hacking technique. There is no one else but her," Arthur maintained.

Edward was dumbfounded as he said inwardly, 'So it was Susanna who hacked into his company's network.'

He paused for a moment, his gaze fixed on the screen. "Susanna has progressed remarkably quickly. Admirable, very admirable. She has outsmarted even our own employees. How impressive!"

'As expected of his sister, she is so smart and adorable!' He proudly thought to himself.

Edward's previously stern face instantly turned into a beaming smile, looking very pleased.

Tension filled the office as everyone anxiously speculated about the sudden shift in the boss's demeanor following a phone call.

Edward hung up the phone, looked at the people in the security department, and said with an arrogant tone, "Well, have you managed to trace the hacker yet?"

The head of the security department plucked up the courage to answer, "No, the hacker has already retreated. We can't find their IP address, nor can we recruit them."

"Look at you all, with such impressive resumes, boasting about how great you are. Now you can't even catch a hacker. What's the use of keeping you?"

Although Edward was still scolding them, his tone inexplicably carried a hint of pride.

The head of the security department was utterly perplexed by the boss's apparent satisfaction despite their failure to apprehend the hacker.

'Could it be that their department was going to be fired?' he thought to himself.

Edward showed off Susanna's skills in front of the security department, then turned to the demolition department manager, his face darkening. "Tell me the truth, what did you do to make someone attack the company's system? Did you mess up the demolition of that old neighborhood?"

The manager of the demolition department felt a shiver run down his spine, and he hastened to clarify, "No, no, the demolition was carried out precisely as per your instructions, without any oversight. It shouldn't be due to that."

"Is that so? Bring me all the demolition documents for that area. I want to review them," Edward ordered.

The demolition department manager felt extremely guilty. 'What should he do now? If the boss saw that one family's compensation hadn't been paid, how would he explain it?'

At this moment, Erica pushed open the office door and walked in. "Edward, you needn't concern yourself with these minor issues. I'll handle it with the demolition department manager."

Edward looked at Erica and said bluntly, "What are you doing here?"

"Edward, I heard something happened at the branch, and I was worried, so I came to check on the situation. As a member of the Jones family, I wanted to help you share the burden."

Erica made a very convincing argument. "Edward, have you caught the hacker yet? Someone dared to hack into our company's system; they must have a death wish. Let Arthur handle it; he can definitely catch the hacker."

Although Erica saw Susanna holding a tablet downstairs, she refused to believe Susanna had the skills to hack into the company's system.

Edward frowned as he said, "I'll handle this. You don't need to worry."

Despite Susanna's adept hacking of the company's network today, he decided not to pursue the matter. Instead, he would support and encourage Susanna to hone her skills and potentially become a proficient hacker in the future.

Edward looked at the manager. "Were you not listening when I requested the demolition documents for that area?"

Erica's face turned particularly sullen.
