Chapter 500 Believe It or Not, I'll Tear Your Mouth Apart
Amelia couldn't believe her ears and yelled, "You're full of crap! You think I won't rip your mouth off?"
"My mom found out she was pregnant after they split, and she kept it on the down-low for years. She didn't spill the beans until she was on her deathbed, telling me who my real dad was. If she wanted to use me to blackmail him, she would've done it ages ago."
If she had found Owen sooner, she wouldn't have struggled all these years.
"Keep spinning your tales. Your mom must've hit up my dad back then and got shut down, so she had you out of spite. She wanted to use you to blackmail my dad, but it backfired, and she had to raise you on her own. She just made up this sob story to trick you. Your mom's a schemer."
Amelia wasn't buying any of it.
"Shut up! Don't you dare talk about my mom like that. It was your mom who used her family's clout to wreck their relationship and forced my mom to leave."
Vivian loathed Paige. If it weren't for her using her family's power, she'd be the one living the high life as the President's daughter.
"What, your mom can pull shady stuff and no one can call her out? Your mom was never good enough for my dad. Their breakup was bound to happen. My mom and dad are a perfect match, and they belong together. A woman like your mom could never fit into my dad's world."
Amelia kept going, "Even without my mom, your mom could never have married into the Richardson family."
Vivian lost it and lunged at Amelia.
Susanna was shocked when she saw them go at it.
She didn't expect them to start brawling so fast.
But Susanna knew Amelia's temper; she wouldn't back down and wouldn't let Vivian off easy.
If it were the old Vivian, she would've just taken it.
But the new Vivian wasn't having it, especially not from Amelia.
Vivian was dead set on outdoing Amelia and wasn't about to let this slide.
As they fought, Susanna jumped in to help Amelia and pulled them apart.
Vivian, fuming and at a disadvantage, glared at Susanna and Amelia, "How dare you two hit me? Just wait, I'll tell Dad, and you won't get away with this."
Both Vivian and Amelia's hair was a mess, and they had some scratches on their faces.
Amelia shot back, "Fine, go tell Dad. Let's see whose side he takes."
Vivian sneered, "You think you're all that? You're just a girl, but I'm different. Dad's felt guilty for my mom all these years, and now I've brought back a son."
"That's your kid. What's he got to do with our family?"
Vivian smirked, "I've already told Dad this kid's taking the Richardson name and will be a Richardson heir. Dad's thrilled 'cause the Richardson family finally has an heir."
Hearing this, Susanna was floored. She didn't expect Vivian to go this far.
She also didn't expect Owen to make such a deal for a grandson.
No wonder Owen was backing Vivian; there had to be a reason behind it.
Hearing this, Amelia got even more pissed and snapped, "You’ve got no shame! Your illegitimate kid has nothing to do with the Richardson family."
"Well, this kid is mine, and once he takes the name, he’ll be a Richardson. Dad’s wanted a son for years—grandson works too, right?"
Vivian couldn’t believe Owen actually agreed to get her out of prison for adopting a kid. To her, it was a lucky break.
Vivian kept going, "Plus, his dad’s got some serious clout and can back up the Richardson family. Think Dad’s gonna value me again?"
"Are you kidding? If the kid’s dad was really powerful, you wouldn’t have been living like crap all these years. He’s just some poor dude’s kid."
Vivian raised an eyebrow smugly and said, "Then why don’t you ask Ms. Jones over there? Is my son’s dad a poor man?"
Amelia was momentarily stunned and looked at Susanna with suspicion. How was Susanna mixed up in this?
Amelia cautiously asked, "Does this kid have something to do with the Abbott family?"
After all, Amelia had heard that Owen had been getting close to the Abbott family recently and probably wouldn’t keep working with the Jones family. Owen was looking for a new family to team up with.
She’d never heard of Owen having close ties with Lindwell before, but if the kid was from the Abbott family, it all made sense.
Vivian smugly said, "Didn’t expect you to be so sharp. Congrats, you guessed it. My son’s from the Abbott family."
Susanna sneered, "Roman’s dad is just a bastard himself, so what’s there to be proud of?"
Vivian’s face twisted, and she quickly said, "What bastard? My husband’s a legit Abbott family member."
Susanna kept mocking, "What legit member? Ask Maud if she acknowledges having such a son. The Abbott family’s never recognized his status. What’s there to brag about?"
Amelia laughed, "So he’s just a bastard. No wonder bastards stick together and have another bastard kid. Birds of a feather, right?"
Vivian was livid and shouted, "Shut up! Who are you calling a bastard? My mom was the legit wife, and your mom was the side piece."
Amelia calmly said, "With your mom’s low status, she dreamed of marrying rich."
Vivian was fuming. She saw the limited edition bag on the table and shouted, "Wrap this bag up for me."
At that moment, the store manager, who had been lurking nearby, immediately stepped in. "Sure, no problem."
After all, there was a spat in the VIP room, and the store manager had to handle it right away.
Luckily, it was a personal beef between the guests and had nothing to do with the store. He couldn’t wait to get these people out to avoid more drama.
But Amelia held onto the bag and told the store manager, "I saw this bag first. If anyone’s buying it, it’s me, not her."
