Chapter 386 Are You Really Susanna?

Susanna didn't give a damn how Maud tried to mess with her, but she sure as hell wasn't gonna let Maud trash-talk Lillian.

Maud sneered, "You think just 'cause you got some cash, you can marry your daughter off to Aaron? Over my dead body!"

"I never said I wanted to marry Aaron. Don't kid yourself."

Susanna stepped closer, her voice like ice. "Here's the deal. I got close to Aaron just to mess with his head and drain his bone marrow to save my daughter. Once I'm done with him, he's history."

"You heartless witch! No wonder you look like Susanna, neither of you are any good!"

Susanna's eyes were cold, her face a mix of frost and arrogance. "Feeling guilty, huh? All these years, haven't you dreamt of the dead coming to strangle you at night?"

Maud shook with rage. "What are you talking about? Who the hell are you?"

"Take a wild guess."

Seeing a face that looked like Susanna's, Maud freaked out and stumbled back, falling down the stairs.

Susanna stood at the top, watching Maud tumble down, a familiar scene playing in her mind.

She rubbed her head, wondering if the same thing happened back then.

"Aunt Maud, you okay?"

Vivian's wheelchair rolled up downstairs. She rushed to Maud's side, a flicker of satisfaction in her eyes.

The next second, Vivian looked up and said, "Ms. Ramirez, you actually pushed Aunt Maud down the stairs. How heartless."

Susanna glared down at Vivian and shot back, "Instead of pointing fingers, call a doctor! If you keep stalling, people might think you're doing it on purpose."

Vivian was speechless and quickly called for a doctor to help the unconscious Maud.

Vivian glared at Susanna and said, "Don't get too cocky. I'm gonna find Aaron, and let's see how you explain this to him."

"You'd better wipe that smug look off your face, or Aaron might see through your dirty tricks and kick you out of the Abbott family."

With that, Susanna turned and walked away.

Vivian stood there, confused, watching Susanna leave. She thought, 'Even if you know, what can you do? This time, I'll make sure you regret it.'

Meanwhile, Susanna calmly walked back to the hallway outside the hospital room but didn't go in.

Her secretary came up to her and said, "Ms. Jones, what just happened could easily be misunderstood. I'll get the surveillance footage to prove Mrs. Maud Abbott fell on her own and it had nothing to do with you."

"Alright, keep it ready."

Susanna didn't go upstairs to find Aaron; she didn't know why, but she just didn't feel like explaining.

Upstairs in the hospital room.

Vivian burst into Aaron's room, tears streaming down her face. "Aaron, something terrible happened. Aunt Maud fell down the stairs at the hospital. She's unconscious and in the emergency room. You need to go see her."

"What? Take me there."

Aaron quickly got out of bed and followed Vivian to the emergency room.

He frowned at Vivian. "Why was she at the hospital?"

Vivian felt a pang of guilt. Why was his first question not about why Maud fell?

She quickly explained, "I told Aunt Maud about you being hospitalized yesterday. She was worried about you."

Aaron's voice was cold. "Did I ask you to meddle?"

Vivian hesitated, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I was just worried about you being alone in the hospital with no one to take care of you. If you don't like me coming to the hospital, you can't object to Aunt Maud coming to take care of you. I was just concerned."

"I've told you a million times, the person you should be worried about is Ramond, not me. Stop wasting your energy on me."

Such blunt words made Vivian feel awkward. "Aaron, you misunderstood. I just didn't want you to be alone without anyone to care for you."

"If you hadn't told my mom about this, she wouldn't have fallen and gotten hurt at the hospital."

Vivian blurted out, "But Aunt Maud got hurt because of Ms. Ramirez."

Realizing what she had said, Vivian stammered, "I just happened to see it."

"Then tell me, why did my mom come to the hospital and not look for me but went downstairs to find someone else? What exactly did you say to her?"

Aaron's voice was ice-cold, and he saw through Vivian's intentions immediately.

At that moment, the doctor pushed open the emergency room door and asked, "Where are the patient's family members?"

Aaron stepped forward, "How is my mom?"

"The patient fainted due to emotional agitation and is at risk of a stroke. Fortunately, she was brought in time. Try to keep her calm and avoid any further agitation to prevent another stroke."

Aaron's lips pressed into a thin line. "Got it."

Soon, the unconscious Maud was wheeled out, and Aaron followed her to the hospital room.

Before long, Maud woke up and saw Aaron by her side. She spoke excitedly, "Aaron!"

"Mom, I'm here."

Aaron stepped forward, holding Maud's hand and comforting her in a low voice, "The doctor said you're fine, but you need to rest."

Vivian immediately chimed in, "Aunt Maud, you don't know how worried Aaron was about you. He stayed outside the operating room the whole time."

Maud showed a look of relief, then noticed Aaron wearing a hospital gown and suddenly remembered something. "Aaron, why are you hospitalized?"

Aaron calmly replied, "It's just a minor issue."

"You're still lying to me! You're planning to donate bone marrow to Nova's child. That's so dangerous. Are you trying to freak me out?"

Aaron's expression turned cold. "Mom, I told Vivian not to tell you about this."

Maud blurted out, "But Vivian told me for your own good."

Vivian's face changed dramatically. "Aaron, listen to me."

"Shut up. You have no right to speak here."

Aaron didn't even look at Vivian. He turned to Maud and said, "Mom, donating bone marrow isn't what you think. It's just like donating blood."

"You're lying to me. Donating bone marrow is nothing like giving blood! How do they even get the bone marrow out? What if something happens to you? How am I supposed to live with that? The Abbott family needs you!"

Maud's emotions were getting agitated. Aaron calmly took out his phone. "Mom, here's an article explaining what bone marrow donation really is. Take a look."

Maud took the phone, half-believing.

Vivian, feeling unwilling, had already researched that donating bone marrow was actually donating hematopoietic stem cells, but she had intentionally misled Maud.

Just as she was about to speak, Aaron coldly said, "Come with me."

Vivian didn't want to leave but was forcibly pushed out of the room.

Aaron stared coldly at Vivian and said, "Starting today, pack your things and leave the Abbott house. Leave Ramond with my mother."
