Chapter 231 Mr. Abbott's First Experience of Fatherhood

Aaron held the tiny socks in his hand, his throat tightening, an indescribable feeling welling up inside him.

He'd never been this close to baby stuff before, let alone their clothes.

Aaron, usually as tough as nails, found the fabric of the tiny socks unbelievably soft.

He quickly put the socks back on the shelf, his expression a bit off, like the socks were some kind of wild animal.

Susanna noticed Aaron's reaction, a hint of sadness in her eyes. 'He really doesn't seem to like kids! But it's fine; I'll raise the child on my own and won't let him be bothered.'

Susanna turned to the store clerk. "Help me pick out a few sets."

Just as she finished, Aaron cut in coldly, "A few sets? Get twenty sets!"

The store clerk lit up. "Sure, I'll get them right away."

'What a big spender! This month's sales target is in the bag,' the clerk thought.

Susanna was also taken aback by Aaron's extravagance. "Isn't that too much?"

She figured a few sets would be enough. After all, Taylor was watching, and they needed to buy something to report back to Maria!

Aaron's face was calm. "You think I can't afford twenty sets of clothes?"

This wasn't about the clothes.

Soon, the eager store clerk returned. "Sir, ma'am, anything else you need? I can help you pick it out."

Aaron glanced at the baby clothes in the store, pointed randomly, "Clothes, shoes, coats, hats, scarves, and these socks, take them all."

"All of them?" The store clerk was genuinely shocked.

Susanna quickly grabbed Aaron's arm, but he met her gaze. "We'll need all of them eventually."

With that, Aaron took her hand and headed out. "Weren't you looking to buy a crib and a stroller?"

Susanna glanced back, wanting to tell the store clerk not to take so much, but then she saw Taylor hiding behind a pillar.

She immediately realized Aaron was putting on a show for Taylor.

She thought for a moment and then followed him to the crib section. After the store clerk enthusiastically introduced a few cribs, Aaron said, "Wrap them all up."

The store clerk was stunned. "Wrap up all ten cribs? Sir, how many children do you have?"

Aaron's face was calm. "If they don't fit after the baby is born, we can always exchange them."

Susanna stood there, speechless, never imagining Aaron would shop like this.

She felt it couldn't go on, so she grabbed Aaron and pointed to one of the cribs. "Just these two cribs, they seem suitable."

Aaron frowned. "Are you sure? The babies haven't slept in them yet; what if they don't like them?"

"Infants don't have preferences! Not everyone is as picky as you, unable to tolerate even the slightest inconvenience," Susanna shot back. "Besides, these two cribs fit perfectly in our master bedroom."

Aaron's expression softened, a faint smile on his lips. "Do as she says," he remarked, surprisingly content.

After buying the cribs, they headed to the stroller section. To keep Aaron from going overboard again, Susanna took charge and picked out two strollers herself. As she browsed through the baby gear, the reality of becoming a mom hit her, filling her with a mix of excitement and nerves.

She checked the time; it took them an hour to get everything, thanks to Aaron's efficient shopping style.

As they stepped outside, a strange vibe lingered between them. Shopping together was a new experience.

They found themselves outside an exposition center, unsure of what it offered.

Suddenly, a salesperson approached them. "Mr. and Mrs. Abbott, given your generous spending at our mall, we invite you to complimentary new parent workshops. If you have time, feel free to join us."

Tempted and needing the knowledge, Susanna followed the store clerk inside while Aaron stayed put.

The store clerk looked over. "Mr. Abbott, it's best for new parents to attend together. Having a baby isn't just the mother's responsibility. As a husband and father, you should share in raising the child."

Susanna's eyelids twitched at the thought of Aaron taking care of a baby.

She glanced at Aaron. "It's fine if you prefer to wait outside or have other errands."

To her surprise, Aaron walked towards the entrance, as if he intended to join her. Susanna shot him another look—he was full of surprises today!

Inside the classroom, they found several young couples ready for the class.

Susanna sat beside Aaron, listening. The instructor eventually taught pregnant women to relax with yoga, requiring their husbands' assistance.

Trying to sit up on her own, she felt Aaron gently restrain her arm. "I'll support you," he said.

Susanna nodded and followed the instructor's movements.

For a moment, the atmosphere between them was pleasant. Aaron was patient, accurately pointing out where her movements were off.

As the class ended, beads of sweat glistened on Susanna's forehead, but she felt energized.

They walked out together.

Susanna instinctively looked around. "Where's Taylor?"

"Probably went back already," Aaron said.

"We splurged today; I think we've got plenty to show for it! You're a natural at this acting gig; otherwise, Grandma would have caught on," Susanna said with a grin.

Glancing at the clock, she hesitated. "There's not enough time to swing by the court today. How about tomorrow?"

Aaron paused, his gaze intense. Susanna, sensing his intensity, averted her eyes. "Any questions No need to worry, the property division agreement with Erica is null, and my prenuptial agreement guarantees you're in the clear."

Aaron took the crumpled prenuptial agreement from Tyler's hand. "Is this what you're talking about?"

Susanna glanced at it. "Yes, that should be the original."

Aaron raised his hand and tore the document in half.
