Chapter 454 Stupidity Beyond Human Limits

Susanna shot Aaron a sideways glance when she heard him speak.

She was just as curious about how Aaron was gonna prove who he was.

Honestly, the Thornberry family's antics had been a real eye-opener for her.

Kayle smirked, "I can't wait to see how your broke bodyguard is gonna prove himself."

Right then, Roman got a call, and his face changed. "Alright, I'll be there soon," he said.

After hanging up, Roman turned to his mom, "We don't have time to waste on this broke bodyguard. They even tried to pass someone off as Mr. Ross earlier. Who knows what else they'll pull? Anyway, Mr. Abbott will be at the signing ceremony the day after tomorrow, and the truth will come out then. No need to prove anything now."

"Roman, are you just gonna let Susanna act all high and mighty? This is the perfect chance to put her in her place."

"Mom, I just got a call. There's something at the company about our deal with Mr. Abbott that I need to handle myself. I can't waste time here."

"Alright, Roman, your work is more important. Anyway, at the signing ceremony, everyone will see who's lying. I want everyone to know that Susanna, just to mess with our deal with the Abbott family, even got a bodyguard to pretend to be the president of the Abbott Group."

Susanna stayed quiet.

She didn't have time to find someone to impersonate anyone.

After Roman finished talking, he rushed out like he really had something urgent to deal with.

Kayle, still in her wheelchair, looked at Susanna smugly. "Did you hear Roman? He's gotta prep for the signing ceremony. Mr. Abbott and Mr. Ross will be there, and you won't need to prove anything. Everyone will know you're lying."

The servant chimed in, "Mrs. Thornberry, why not invite Ms. Jones to the signing ceremony and let her bring her broke bodyguard to see what real wealth looks like?"

"Good idea," Kayle nodded, turning to Susanna. "You should come to the signing ceremony, see how the Thornberry family rises, and then go back and tell your brothers we'll pay back your oppression tenfold."

"And you, since you didn't want to agree to the engagement with Ramon before, starting the day after tomorrow, the Thornberry family won't look up to you anymore."

Susanna snorted, "I've been super busy and don't have time for your signing ceremony."

"Are you scared to come because you know your bodyguard isn't the president of the Abbott Group and you're worried his fake identity will be exposed?"

Susanna felt a bit disgusted by their shamelessness. 'They're just being persistent,' she thought.

Sam, standing next to her, chimed in, "Susanna, it doesn't matter if you go or not. You'll get to see the Thornberry family make fools of themselves. That signing ceremony is just a joke. I'll go check it out. Some people are just shameless, always trying to ruin your rep."

Honestly, Sam never thought he'd run into such weirdos like the Thornberry family. They were so basic yet so full of themselves, he figured he might as well watch them crash and burn.

Sam felt a bit ticked off being looked down on by the Thornberry family. Back in Lindwell, he never got treated like that.

Even though he had been teasing Aaron earlier, getting disrespected by the Thornberry family was something he couldn't stand.

Susanna hesitated for a sec but stayed quiet.

Kayle, on the other hand, loudly declared, "Susanna, it's settled then. The Jones family has to be at our signing ceremony the day after tomorrow. If you don't show, it means you're guilty and scared."

Susanna immediately sneered, "Why would I feel guilty? Since you're so eager for me to see your embarrassment up close, how could I say no?"

"Susanna, you're still so shameless. Fine, I'll be waiting for you the day after tomorrow. Don't chicken out."

After Kayle finished, the servant wheeled her out of the hospital.

Susanna watched Kayle leave, crossed her arms, and glanced at Aaron. "Didn't you already meet with your assistant? Why haven't they handled the cooperation with the Thornberry family yet? This isn't like you."

In Susanna's eyes, Aaron was a workaholic with the efficiency of a robot.

Aaron had said he'd quickly handle the cooperation with the Thornberry family.

But now, the Thornberry family still thought they were signing a contract with the Abbott Group, which was weird.

Aaron frowned and immediately called Tyler, "Didn't I tell you to cancel the cooperation with the Thornberry family?"

Why did the Thornberry family still dare to mention cooperation in front of him?

Tyler quickly replied, "Mr. Abbott, we just got to the branch office today to investigate. The cooperation with the Thornberry family is a bit complicated."

"No matter how complicated, cancel it immediately."

"Mr. Abbott, this involves Calum. The cooperation with the Thornberry family was his project. When I came to investigate, I was blocked, like your uncle didn't want anyone to know about this."

"So you did nothing?"

"Not exactly, but I did convey your instructions to cancel the cooperation. However, Calum hasn't shown up yet. If we really want to formally cancel it, it might take some time."

After hearing this, Aaron hung up the phone.

Sam, next to him, asked, "Aaron, what did they say?"
