Chapter 570 So What If I'm Scheming Against You?
Owen's face twisted in confusion. "Wait, didn't you say this kid had nothing to do with the Abbott Family?" He thought, 'If the Abbott Family gets involved, things are gonna get messy.'
Vivian replied, "That was just to throw you off. Ramond and the Abbott Family are tight. You really think keeping Ramond with the Richardsons means the Abbotts won't come knocking?"
Owen's temper flared. "That's not what you said before."
"Look, I'm Ramond's mom, so I get to call the shots. Aaron can't butt in. But if you try to kick me out, things won't be so simple. As his mom, I have the right to decide his future."
Amelia shot back, "Vivian, cut the crap. If the Abbott Family really cared, you wouldn't have been able to take him from Lindwell. And remember when we met Aaron? He knew Ramond was with the Richardsons and didn't say a word. That says it all."
Vivian's face went white. She felt like all her careful planning was crumbling. "No way I'm letting you win. I'm taking Ramond right now. He's my son, and you can't keep him here."
"That's not your call." Owen signaled the bodyguards, who immediately restrained Vivian.
Eugene and Daphne stood up and told Owen, "As long as you get rid of Vivian, our deal still stands."
With that, Eugene and Daphne left. Owen quickly followed, needing to keep them on his side. If they accepted Ramond, he could avoid a messy divorce and keep things calm at home.
Once Owen was gone, Amelia wiped her tears, her face turning cold. She thought, 'Finally, it's over.'
Vivian sneered, "So, you've shown your true colors. This whole thing was your setup, wasn't it? Even got your grandparents to frame me." Vivian realized Eugene and Daphne were in on Amelia's plan to keep Ramond and kick her out.
Amelia leaned down, lifting Vivian's chin. "You're quick. Yeah, it was all my plan. Enjoy the show?"
"You admitted it. You all heard her, right? Go tell Dad that Amelia schemed this whole thing."
Amelia smirked at the bodyguards. "You think they'll listen to you?"
Vivian, still held down, snapped, "Don't get cocky. I'll tell Dad the truth. He won't fall for your tricks."
"Do you really think Dad will believe you now? Even if he does, so what? As long as the outcome suits him, nothing you say will matter."
Amelia knew Owen too well. If she could get Eugene and Daphne to accept Ramond, even if it was a setup, Owen would be happy with the result, and Vivian would be out. So she set the trap.
Vivian finally realized she was completely outplayed, and a deep fear gripped her because she knew exactly what kind of person Owen was. If things were as Amelia said, Owen would definitely ditch Vivian.
Amelia stood up and looked down at Vivian. "This time, you're done for. And I'll never give you another chance to mess with me or my mom."
Vivian said, "You bitch! Don't get too cocky. My son is still with the Richardsons. I'll be back."
"Do you really think you'll get that chance? Ramond is with me, and I'll do what I want."
"If you try to hurt my son, I won't let it slide. I'll tell Dad and expose your plot."
Amelia didn't want to waste any more time and told the bodyguards, "Take her away and make sure she doesn't cause any more trouble."
Susanna, who had been watching the whole thing, knew that when Eugene and Daphne showed up, things were serious. Now that it was over, Vivian had no chance of making a comeback. She walked up to Amelia and said, "Congrats."
As Vivian was being dragged away, she shouted to Susanna, "You know Ramond's connection to the Abbott Family. Tell Aaron that the Richardsons are going to hurt Ramond. He has to take Ramond away, or it'll ruin his life."
Susanna replied calmly, "Stop scheming. Do you really think I'd pass on your message? Give it up." What made Vivian think Susanna would help her out?
"Even if you don't say anything, Aaron will find out soon. He won't let Ramond stay with the Richardsons and get bullied. If anything happens to Ramond, Aaron will step in. Amelia, your plans will never work."
Susanna stepped forward and said to Vivian, "You still have the nerve to mention the Abbott Family? Maria has woken up. Although she soon fell unconscious again, the doctors said she would wake up soon. When that happens, and Maria names the person who harmed her, some people will be doomed to spend the rest of their lives in prison."
Vivian's face turned pale instantly, and she said guiltily, "You say Maria woke up, but did she really?" If Maria had really woken up, wouldn't Aaron have taken her away already?
"Believe it or not."
After Susanna finished, Vivian was escorted out by the bodyguards.
Amelia showed a complex expression. "Even though I won, I actually lost a long time ago."
Even if the Richardson Family drove Vivian away, her home would never be the same. She no longer blindly admired and loved Owen as she once did. Because from now on, she had to plan for herself and Paige.
Now that Vivian was gone, Ramond was still in the Richardson Family. Once Ramond grew up, Owen would undoubtedly side with him. But ten years was enough for her to carry out her plan.
