Chapter 167 Sibling Bond

Susanna glanced over at Austin in the driver's seat and noticed something off about his expression. His eyes were a mix of guilt and heartache.

Curiosity gnawed at her, prompting her thoughts to stray. Before she could restrain herself, she impulsively inquired, "Austin, there was nothing between you and Erica in the past, was there?"

The car screeched to a sudden halt.

Austin, shocked, replied loudly, "How could that be?"

Just as he finished speaking, a collision sound came from behind, cutting their conversation short.

Susanna's expression changed dramatically. "Austin, did we just get hit?"

"Yeah, a rear-end collision. It's just a minor issue. Susanna, get out and wait by the roadside while I handle it," Austin said.

Susanna felt a bit worried. Stepping out of the car, she saw a sports car behind them. A strikingly elegant woman got out of the driver's seat, instantly drawing everyone's attention. Despite this, Susanna couldn't shake the feeling that she looked familiar.

Seeing the driver wasn't a burly man made her feel more at ease. She obediently stood by the roadside, waiting, while Austin and the woman talked face to face. The handsome man and beautiful woman together were quite a sight.

Looking at the elegant woman, Susanna suddenly remembered something. She took out her phone and Googled a keyword, realizing the woman was a singer.

Susanna actually enjoyed the woman's songs. Not being a movie star, Susanna didn't recognize her at first sight.

Susanna felt a bit excited. 'Should I go over and ask for an autograph? This is so exciting.'

But soon, after Austin exchanged contact information with the woman, she drove off in her sports car.

Austin pulled the car over to the side. "Susanna, get back in. It was just a minor rear-end collision, no big deal. The insurance company will handle it later."

After getting back into the car, Susanna was a bit excited. "Austin, did you swap contact info with that lovely woman?"

"Yeah, I added her on WhatsApp for further contact. Even though she rear-ended us, it was my fault for stopping in the middle of the road," Austin replied.

"Austin, do you think she was pretty?"

Austin raised an eyebrow, paused, and looked at Susanna. "She's fine, but in my eyes, you're the most beautiful."

No woman could be as kind, cute, sensible, and beautiful as Susanna!

Susanna pursed her lips. "Austin, I really wanted to ask her for an autograph just now, but I didn't dare to go over."

"An autograph? Is she a celebrity?"

"Sort of. She's a singer, quite famous, but she's pretty low-key. I didn't expect her to look even better in person than in photos. I really like her," Susanna said, revealing her admiration.

Austin didn't expect that woman to be a celebrity, which was indeed surprising. Seeing the admiration in Susanna's eyes made Austin feel a bit uncomfortable, as if Susanna was being taken away by another woman.

Not long after they got home, Austin parked the car and said, "Susanna, I need to discuss something with you."

"What is it?"

"Don't tell Edward that I drove you home and got rear-ended on the way. You know how hot-tempered Edward can be."

Susanna blinked. "Edward has a hot temper? Why don't I feel that way?"

She just thought Edward was a bit impulsive.

Austin was momentarily at a loss for words and patted her head. "Edward is only gentle with you. Arthur and I got beaten up a lot growing up."

Susanna said, "That's definitely because you guys were disobedient."

After getting out of the car, Susanna looked at Austin. "Don't worry, I won't tell Edward."

They walked into the house together, and Susanna smelled something delicious. It was obvious Madison had cooked something tasty.

Susanna walked in and saw a handsome guy sitting on the sofa. She widened her eyes, yelling, "Brian?"

Brian smiled, stood up, walked over to Susanna, and patted her head. "Susanna, why are you back so late today? Did you have a lot of classes at school?"

Susanna paused. "No, Maria had surgery today, so I stayed at the hospital until her surgery was over before I could leave."

Brian glanced at Austin. He knew about Susanna's past as a caregiver for the Abbott family and had always been against Austin performing surgery for them. But since Susanna personally asked, he couldn't say much. Who could refuse Susanna's kindness?

With a charming glint in his eyes, Brian smiled and suggested,"Let's dive into dinner first."

Madison emerged from the kitchen, announcing, "Now that everyone's here, wash your hands and let's eat. Susanna, since Brian is here and it's the weekend, why don't you give him a tour?"

Susanna nodded. "Sure. Brian, are you here in Lindwell for vacation or business?"

Her brothers were usually busy with work and only had time to visit Lindwell during vacations or business trips.

Brian said calmly, "I'm here on business, but also taking a little vacation."

Of course, the main reason was to see Susanna. Since they found Susanna so suddenly, his work schedule had been packed, leaving him no time to visit Lindwell.

Now that he finally had his work sorted out, he definitely wanted to spend some time with Susanna in Lindwell.

Susanna got along well with her six brothers, yet she had minimal contact with Brian and Daniel. While Daniel, a lawyer, had assisted Susanna when she faced defamation, her interactions with Brian were scarce. She acknowledged her lack of familiarity with him.

Brian was undeniably handsome. If he pursued a career in the spotlight, he would likely skyrocket to fame in no time.

The next day, Susanna planned to go to Epic Horizon. Last night, she texted Dick to ask for leave, saying she would be Brian's guide for the next two days and also visit Grandma Maria in the hospital, so she wouldn't be coming to Epic Horizon this weekend.

Upon arriving at Epic Horizon, Susanna powered up her computer to manage some tasks and prepare for a handover. With plans to decrease her workload at Epic Horizon, she was cautious not to take on too much additional work.

"Susanna, you're here. Didn't you say you were taking leave this weekend?" Dick asked, his eyes lighting up when he saw her.

Susanna said calmly, "I'm here to transfer some files."

Dick was about to say something when the door of the meeting room opened, and Harper came out. "Dick, have you finished your work? Susanna, why are you here too?"

Susanna's expression became a bit awkward. "I'm here to handle some work. You guys seem busy, so you go ahead."

Susanna noticed Harper was dressed very elegantly, indicating she was headed somewhere special.

Dick quickly explained, "It's nothing major. My mom rarely visits, so I thought I'd take her out for a walk this weekend."

Harper appeared contemplative as she took a step closer and gently linked arms with Susanna. "Susanna, there's something I'd like to ask you."

"Aunt Harper, just tell me what it is," replied Susanna.

"Uh, is your cousin single right now?"
