Chapter 411 Mr. Abbott, Get in Line to Chase Me
Susanna eyed Aaron, who looked like he was about to explode. She jabbed a finger into his chest and said, "Yo, Mr. Abbott, you ain't the only dude I've said this stuff to. I've had a ton of exes. If I had to take responsibility for all of 'em, you'd be way back in line."
After that, Susanna got up, straightened her clothes, and said, "Mr. Abbott, I've laid it all out for you. If you don't get it, sit here and mull it over. Catch you later."
She walked out of the plane without a backward glance.
Not long after, Casimir strolled over and said, "Mr. Abbott, don't sweat it. Ms. Jones ain't someone just any guy can chase."
Aaron's face went ice-cold, and he threw a punch. "Watch your mouth. You think you can chase her?"
Susanna made her way down the stairs, relieved Aaron hadn't followed. She was carrying the bone marrow Aaron had donated, which was crucial for saving Charles.
If Aaron had come down and her brothers saw him, he'd definitely get a beatdown.
For the sake of the bone marrow, she decided to cut Aaron some slack.
Once off the plane, Susanna smiled and called out, "Austin, Brian!"
Austin stepped up and took the bone marrow from her. "Susanna, that must've been a rough trip."
"I'm good. It was close, but I got the bone marrow."
Brian walked up and asked, "When you were in Lindwell, did Aaron give you any trouble? I heard the Abbott family had the bone marrow. I knew they were bad news."
Austin looked at her and asked, "Did Aaron hide the bone marrow to mess with you?"
Susanna lowered her eyes and said, "There were some issues, but it wasn't Aaron. He didn't hide it."
The bone marrow switch wasn't Aaron's fault, and she couldn't pin it on him.
"Don't worry, Susanna. Even if Aaron tried to blackmail you, we wouldn't back down. Edward said if Aaron didn't agree, we'd go to Lindwell and make him pay."
Susanna smiled and said, "Anyway, the bone marrow's here now. Let's go. Charles is waiting."
She wanted to leave quickly with her brothers to avoid any drama.
"Hold up."
Just as Susanna was about to get in the car, she heard Aaron's familiar voice behind her.
Her face instantly tightened. Didn't she tell him to stay on the plane until they left? Why was he doing out here now?
Susanna felt a headache coming on. She turned and saw Aaron walking down from the plane.
At that moment, she saw the murderous look in her brothers' eyes.
Austin also saw Aaron and his face turned cold. "Susanna, did you come with him?"
Brian stepped in front of her. "Susanna, did he use the bone marrow to mess with you? Don't sweat it. This is Novaria, not Aaron's turf."
Aaron strolled down the stairs, cool as a cucumber, and glanced at Susanna. "You left your bag."
Susanna then noticed Aaron holding her makeup bag. She must've dropped it when she was touching up.
She moved to grab it, but Brian was faster, snatching the bag and glaring at Aaron. "You got some nerve showing up here alone, knowing this is Jones family territory. You got a death wish?"
Aaron replied calmly, "My daughter’s sick, so I came to check on her."
Austin's face turned red with anger. "You call her your daughter, but you almost got Lillian killed! Do you have any idea what Susanna went through to bring Lillian into this world? You don't deserve to be her father."
Guilt flickered in Aaron's eyes. "I know I owe them a lot, and I'm trying to make it right."
Brian sneered, "We don't need anything from you, especially not your so-called attempts to make things right."
Aaron stayed calm. "Even if you don't need it, I'll do my best to make it up to Susanna and Lillian."
That set Brian off. He rolled up his sleeves. "Fine, I'll teach you a lesson today. I've been itching to beat you up, and now you've handed yourself to me. Don't blame me for what happens next."
Susanna saw this coming.
Just as she was about to step in, Austin blocked her. "Susanna, get in the car. Let Brian handle this."
Brian turned to her. "Susanna, you go deliver the bone marrow. I need to talk to Aaron."
Susanna knew it wouldn't be just a talk.
She wanted to protest, but Austin pulled her into the car, and they sped off from the airport.
She looked back and saw a swarm of black-clad bodyguards closing in on Aaron.
Seeing this, Susanna couldn't help but say to Austin, "Austin, won't this get him killed?"
"Susanna, even if it does, it doesn't matter. Aaron owes you a life!"
She knew it would come to this, which was why she told Aaron to stay on the plane.
"Susanna, you gotta understand, we've been waiting for this day for a long time."
Austin was stone-cold about the situation because he remembered vividly how Susanna was rushed to the hospital four years ago, nearly dying with her baby.
They had fought tooth and nail to save Susanna and the child.
So Austin believed Aaron owed Susanna a life, and if he died in Novaria, it would be justice served.
They could easily stage an accident to make Aaron disappear in Novaria.
Seeing Austin's pained expression, Susanna paused and said, "After all, I don't remember what happened back then."
But she planned to see a psychologist this time and try to recover her memory as soon as possible.
She wasn't scared anymore.
She wanted to uncover the truth of what happened back then!
