Chapter 113 They Became the Combination She Disliked the Most

After Amelia finished work, she went to her locker to change out of her uniform.

When she went to the underground parking lot, Amber and the others happened to come out of another elevator.

Yves and Noah behaved politely when they saw Amelia. Amelia maintained a composed attitude when facing the two.

Amber stood beside Scott. When she saw Amelia, she immediately smiled, "Ms. Davis, what a coincidence, we meet again."

Amelia glanced at the time and then looked at Amber, "It's not a coincidence. This is a hospital, and I am a doctor, so it's normal for you to see me here."

After she finished speaking, she walked toward her own car. She opened the car door and was about to get in when Amber called out to her again.

"Ms. Davis, I recently had a physical examination. The doctor who examined me said I should thank the doctor who performed the surgery on me. The surgery was really successful. I still haven't had the chance to treat you to a meal. Can I take you out for a meal now?" Amber said sincerely, while eagerly looking at her.

Without hesitation, Amelia declined. "As a doctor, performing surgery on a patient is my duty. Besides, the reason I operated on you back then was entirely because of Frederick's coercion. You don't need to thank me. The person you should be grateful to is Frederick."

Scott raised an eyebrow and looked at Amelia, smiling. "She should thank you. If it were another doctor, the surgery might not have been as successful. So, Ms. Davis, Amber should treat you to a meal."

Amelia frowned slightly at Scott. At the same time, her expression became more indifferent.

She forced a smile. "Mr. Sinclair, you and Ms. Roberts are the most annoying duo to me in Kasfee. So, if I were to have a meal with you two, I'm afraid I wouldn't have the appetite to eat."

Noah and Yves had no intention of getting involved in their grievances, so they walked toward their own car.

When Noah heard Amelia's words, he couldn't help but stop and look at Yves. His expression seemed to say, "I really want to stay and see what happens next."

Yves glanced at him and then saw Amelia get into the car after saying those words. She drove away.
He also opened the car door and got in.

Everyone knew Rachel was not to be messed with, but had Amelia really been weak and timid this whole time?

Amber watched as Amelia's car's taillights disappeared. She clenched her hand at her side.

Then, Noah got in the car with Yves.

Scott stood where he was, raising an eyebrow as he watched Amelia leave. Then, he smiled. He hadn't even done anything yet, so why was he already disliked?

Amber looked away and glanced at Scott beside her. Scott, however, had already started walking toward his car.

Amber watched his figure and quickly walked over, whispering.

"Scott, the person you like is Amelia, right?"

Scott often changed girlfriends, and each of them had some similarities to Amelia.

Amber thought that six years ago when she went abroad, Scott followed her because he liked her and wanted to bring her back to Kasfee. Now, looking back, Scott was just afraid that after she went abroad, Amelia and Frederick would have a chance to be together.

During the three years Amelia was away, Scott had always appeared with her in front of Frederick. He tried time and time again to create opportunities for them.

Scott did not respond, but Amber took it as his acquiescence.

Scott did not stop walking, but got into his car and drove away.

Amber was left alone in place. As she watched Scott drive away, she felt uneasy.

In the past three years, Frederick had always ignored her. So Amber planned to marry Scott. Although the Hastings family was better than the Sinclair family, the Sinclair family still had some status in Kasfee.

However, over the past three years, Amber had tried every method but Scott always maintained a distant relationship with her.

She had to watch him go through one girlfriend after another. Now, she finally understood that all along, Scott had liked Amelia.

Amber took a deep breath, a trace of unwillingness on her face. She lost her chance to marry Frederick. Did she also not stand a chance to become Scott's girlfriend?

Amber didn't believe she was inferior to Amelia. How much did a doctor make in a year?

Amber could earn in one year what a doctor couldn't earn in a lifetime!

The only advantage Amelia had was her family background.

In the evening, Mary brought dinner to Frederick.

Frederick was not used to staying in the hospital, so he insisted on returning to Hastings Manor. However, without Amelia's permission, the nurses dared not let Frederick leave. Frederick was stopped by a few nurses at the door.

One of the nurses called Amelia. Amelia asked her to hand the phone to Frederick.

Frederick took the phone with a cold face.

Amelia's gentle voice came through. "When you go back, remember to bring the medication from the ward. You need to take it once tonight. Tomorrow morning, you need to come to the hospital for an infusion.

"After 6PM tonight, don't eat anything. Tomorrow morning, don't have breakfast. Around 10 o'clock tomorrow, you need to come to the hospital for an infusion and examination."

Listening to her soft instructions, Frederick gradually suppressed his anxious mood.

Just as he was about to answer, he heard a soft and sweet voice from the phone, "Mommy, I want a hug."

Frederick's expression darkened instantly. Instead of answering, he handed the phone directly to the nurse at the door.

The nurse answered Amelia's call. Then, they let Frederick leave.

Felix had already parked the car at the hospital entrance. When he saw Frederick get off, he quickly got out of the car and opened the door.

Frederick sat in the backseat with a cold expression. "Take me to the Pearl Building."

He said in a low voice. Then, he closed his eyes and started to rest.

As Felix started the car, the man in the backseat spoke coldly and changed the address.

"Actually, take me to Spring Villa."

Felix raised an eyebrow. He glanced at the person sitting in the backseat through the rearview mirror. Frederick's handsome face was filled with indifference, but Felix didn't ask further questions. He started the car and headed toward Spring Villa.

After exchanging a few words with the nurse, Amelia put down her phone. She knew Frederick would definitely not stay overnight at the hospital. Although his hospital room was well-furnished, with his picky nature, he would never be able to fall asleep. He needed a good rest.

Staying up late was affecting his entire body, including his gastrointestinal system. So she chose to let him go back and rest. Felix and many servants were by Frederick's side, so she didn't have to worry about anything unexpected happening.

After putting down her phone, Amelia picked up Anna, who wanted to be held. She carefully examined Anna's face, hoping to find some resemblance to Frederick. But Anna looked so much like her, and she had very few similarities with Frederick. She held Anna in her arms and gently patted her back to soothe her to sleep. When she thought about Frederick calling himself Anna's uncle in the afternoon, she couldn't help but feel a little sad.
