Chapter 80 Has Frederick already divorced Ms. Rachel Davis?
Amelia felt angry when Amber hung up on her. She took a deep breath and contacted the head of the Davis Group's public relations team.
"Ms. Davis, rest assured, this is all part of Ms. Rachel's plan. Rest well and don't worry."
Amelia received a response from the person in charge, and she felt slightly relieved. She lifted the blanket and got out of bed. Soon, she received a message from Nicole.
Nicole was impatient, and she criticized Amber's behavior. In Nicole's heart, Rachel was like her idol. When her idol was slandered, Nicole even wanted to tear Amber apart.
Listening to Nicole's angry voice, Amelia rubbed her temples and comforted her for a few words. "It's not a big deal, don't get too worked up."
Nicole calmed down a bit after hearing her calm voice. Before going to work, she couldn't help but scold Amber a few more times after hearing her voice message.
Listening to Nicole's voice message, Amelia laughed helplessly and got out of bed. Vincent had already gone to the Davis Group early to handle work matters.
Amelia opened the bedroom door and supported herself against the wall as she walked towards the stairs. When she reached the stairs, she saw Frederick sitting on the couch, reading a magazine.
She was startled for a moment. Frederick heard the movement, put down the magazine, stood up, and looked at her. "You're awake."
Amelia frowned slightly, looking at him as her mood became complicated. "Mr. Hastings, don't you have anything better to do?"
Frederick's expression didn't change. He walked up to her and held onto her hand. "Does your ankle still hurt?"
Amelia bit her lip and said, "What do you think?"
Frederick bent down and lifted the hem of her pants to examine her ankle. The condition of her ankle hadn't improved; it was still swollen and even had some bruising around it.
He squinted and said, "I brought some medicine. It works well."
Susan heard the conversation between Amelia and Frederick and immediately walked out of the dining room.
"Ms. Davis, you're awake."
Amelia nodded. Susan noticed that Amelia didn't want much contact with Frederick, so she immediately approached and supported Amelia.
Amelia pushed away Frederick's hand and let Susan help her downstairs.
Frederick watched her actions. He wasn't angry, but followed behind her.
Susan had prepared breakfast. She helped Amelia to the dining room. Amelia took her seat.
Frederick also walked in naturally and sat across from Amelia.
Amelia sighed and looked up at him. She spoke coldly, "Mr. Hastings, since you have so much time, you should address the rumors online."
Susan placed breakfast in front of Amelia and then served Frederick as well. Although she was a little unhappy with Frederick, her opinion of him changed after seeing him massaging Amelia's feet yesterday.
"Ms. Rachel doesn't want me to handle it."
Amelia chuckled and said, "Aren't you worried that my sister will expose your first love?"
Amelia knew Rachel's personality very well.
Because of Amber's disclosure, Amelia faced criticism from the entire internet. She believed that if everyone knew the truth, those accusations would be transferred to Amber.
He didn't answer her question.
Frederick noticed that Amelia was mainly eating broccoli, so he forked some into her plate.
Amelia looked at the broccoli on her plate and smiled. She said, "Do you think I like eating broccoli?"
"Don't you like it?" Frederick looked at her, with a puzzled expression.
Amelia took the broccoli off her plate and placed it on the table.
"I don't."
She had always liked spicy food. If it weren't for her injury and pregnancy, Susan wouldn't have prepared such light food for her.
However, Frederick mistakenly thought she liked light food.
They had been living together for three years, but Frederick seemed to never truly understand her, or even consider understanding her.
Amelia sighed, feeling somewhat sad. She glanced up at Frederick and said in a low voice, "Mr. Hastings, I don't know why, but seeing you now just annoys me."
Her voice was barely audible. After speaking, she showed no expression.
Frederick sat quietly in his chair, slightly furrowing his brows. There was no anger in his eyes, just calmness as he looked at her.
Amelia suppressed her irritation and got up after finishing breakfast. Susan hurriedly helped her upstairs.
Frederick sat silently in the dining room for a while. By the time Susan came back downstairs, he had already left.
He had hardly eaten his breakfast. Amelia's words must have upset him.
Susan sighed and started cleaning up the dining room.
On the internet, the scandal was still being discussed.
Sebastian had been labeled as the lover, and there were even rumors that he frequently went to Rachel's office and stayed there for over an hour. During this time, they were not to be disturbed by anyone.
Noah casually reposted a post he saw on the internet to their friends'' group.
Noah: [Sebastian spent over an hour in Ms. Rachel Davis's office. What was he doing?]
Yves: [Isn't it obvious? They were doing what they liked. But he's her boyfriend, mistaken for being her lover. Sebastian is pathetic.]
Noah: [I asked my sister about Rachel just now. Rachel said she's currently single, so Sebastian doesn't count as her boyfriend. No wonder Rachel doesn't care about this matter.]
Sebastian: [Noah, do you want to be kicked out of the group chat?]
Noah didn't reply again.
Sebastian was infuriated when he saw the rumors about Frederick and Rachel on the internet, but Frederick and Rachel, the two people involved, did not bother to clarify the issue.
His social media notifications were filled with comments from nosy people.
After leaving the group chat, Sebastian opened his social media app and saw a highly popular comment.
Scott: [Mr. Kingsley, please share your experience. How did you become Ms. Rachel Davis's lover?]
Seeing Scott's mocking comment, and thinking about Rachel's attitude of not addressing the online rumors, Sebastian clenched his teeth and immediately replied to him.
Sebastian: [I've got good skills.]
Soon, this comment and reply were saved as screenshots by some meddling people.
Amelia looked at the direction the public opinion was heading online and couldn't help but rub her forehead.
Vincent came back from work, and his expression wasn't great either. Although the rumors online were all false, as a father, he naturally couldn't bear to see his daughter being accused like this.
At Vincent's strong insistence, the PR department of the Davis Group released a statement. This statement simply indicated that Rachel is currently single, and not that she cheated, as rumored online.
After seeing this statement, Amber carefully examined it, and then she called Scott to inquire about the situation.
"Scott, have Frederick and Rachel gotten divorced?"
