Chapter 195 You Would Know How Capable I Was Once You Give It a Try

Paul parked the car at the Pearl Building.

Paul unfastened his seatbelt and was about to get out to see Frederick off, but as soon as he opened the door, Frederick, who was sitting in the back seat, rubbed his brow and coldly said, "You can go back."

Paul nodded. "Alright. You should rest early too, Mr. Hastings."

Frederick didn't reply.

Paul got out of the car, took a few steps, then turned back.

He stood by the car, hesitated for a few seconds, and then said, "Mr. Hastings, you should do something for Ms. Davis, like those men. Maybe she’ll be attracted to you then."

Frederick remained silent.

Paul couldn't see Frederick's expression through the car window.

Frederick didn't answer for a long time.

Paul wanted to slap himself.

How could Frederick be like those low-class men?

"Sorry, Mr. Hastings. Just pretend I'm talking nonsense."

Before Frederick replied, Paul smiled awkwardly and then quickly walked away.

Frederick sat in the back seat, feeling a bit moved.

After Amelia and Jesse had dinner, they returned to the hospital parking lot together.

Jesse helped Amelia get into the car in a gentlemanly manner.

Amelia bent down to get into the car and thanked him softly.

As she was about to start the car, Nicole walked out of the elevator.

Nicole had been working all day today and looked tired. She was replying to messages from friends while reaching for the car keys in her bag.

Amelia saw her, opened the car door, and got out.

Amelia greeted her. "Hey, Nicole."

Nicole put away her phone when she heard Amelia's voice. She asked, "Didn't you get off work early? Why are you still here?"

As she spoke, she glanced at Jesse next to Amelia as if asking who he was.

Amelia immediately introduced Jesse to Nicole. "This is my friend, Jesse. Jesse, this is my good friend from college and now my colleague, Nicole."

Nicole shook hands with Jesse.

Jesse saw that Nicole and Amelia seemed to have something to discuss, and since he had already escorted Amelia to the parking lot, he spoke softly, "You two go ahead and talk. I need to go to the bar to deal with work for tonight."

Amelia didn't insist that he stay. "Alright, drive safely on the way back."

Jesse nodded. "You too."

Amelia smiled slightly.

After Jesse left, Nicole immediately took Amelia's hand, feeling energized.

She asked, "Is Jesse your admirer?"

He looked pretty good, but his demeanor was a bit lacking compared to Frederick's.

However, few people in the country could compare to Frederick.

Amelia shook her head. "No. Jesse is Daniel's high school classmate, and we got along well back then."

After finishing her sentence, Amelia suddenly remembered something and quickly said, "Nicole, your cousin, Todd, is a celebrity, right?"

Nicole nodded. "Yeah."

Nicole's cousin, Todd Bailey, loved going to bars. He also loved entertainment venues.

He didn't have a good image in the entertainment industry and always portrayed himself as a playboy, which had unexpectedly attracted a lot of fans.

Amelia smiled and looked at Nicole.

"I remember he loved entertainment venues. My friend owns a bar, I'll invite you guys over sometime. You can bring Todd, and we'll go have some fun and help my friend attract business."

Since Todd was popular, his fans would definitely go to Jesse's bar if he did, and the bar would be packed.

Nicole's expression showed a hint of surprise as she listened to Amelia’s words. She said, "I remember you never really liked places like bars."

Nicole had liked going to bars when she was in college, but she rarely went after she started working.

She remembered that she had once invited Amelia to a bar, but Amelia was very resistant and refused to go.

"You seem closer to him than you are with me." Nicole felt a bit jealous.

Amelia smiled helplessly and briefly recounted the incident when Jesse had been expelled from school because of her.

Nicole immediately understood.

Amelia had never liked owing anyone favors. Jesse had been expelled from school because of her. She didn't just owe him a favor.

Nicole readily agreed. "Sure. I'll ask Todd when he's free, and then I'll invite him out."

Nicole took out her phone to message Todd.

Todd had over a hundred million followers on his social media platforms.

He was a top male singer.

He was good-looking and in good shape, and even though he was a playboy, many people still liked him.

Besides, he hadn't deliberately cultivated his image. He danced and showed off his muscles at bars, which had earned him the title of playboy among many fans.

After receiving Todd's message, Nicole looked up at Amelia and said, "Todd's free the day after tomorrow."

The day after tomorrow was Friday, and both she and Nicole had Saturday off.

The timing was perfect.

Amelia nodded. "Alright, I'll let Jesse know and save a spot."

Nicole nodded and continued chatting with Todd.

After a while, she grew excited, and she looked up at Amelia and said, "Todd said he'll bring a few good friends over. They're all handsome young guys."

Nicole had already started fantasizing about them even before seeing them in person.

Amelia couldn't help but smile at her expression.

Soon, it was Friday.

Amelia always checked on patients in their rooms before she left work.

When she entered Walter's room, he was flirting with Riley.

Riley's face was flushed from his teasing.

When Riley saw Amelia come in, she immediately got up from Walter's bed and greeted her. "Hello, Ms. Davis."

Amelia nodded gently, walked into the room, and checked on Walter.

Walter was young, so he was recovering well. At his current rate of recovery, he would be able to leave the hospital in less than a week.

After the check-up, Amelia reminded him, "Get some rest every day. Don't always indulge your desires."

Riley blushed at Amelia's instructions.

Walter was indifferent, saying, "That's none of your business."

Amelia remained composed. "Your coccyx hasn't fully recovered yet. If you exert too much force on your lower back, it may affect your stamina and endurance in the future, especially if it's not already firm..."

She stopped there, didn't continue, and turned to leave his room.

Walter sensed a hint of mockery in Amelia's eyes.

He was impulsive and couldn't bear being humiliated. When he saw Amelia leave, he immediately lifted the comforter, got off the bed, walked to the door of the room, and said to Amelia's back, "Ms. Davis, you'll know whether I can endure it or not and whether I'm firm or not if you try."

His words quieted the entire corridor.

Frederick, who was standing at the elevator door, had an unusually gloomy expression on his face.
