Chapter 234 Ms. Davis, Are You Familiar with Mr. Hastings?

Patricia dropped Kimberly off at the Tideport City Hotel and then warmly invited Amelia to join her for a spa treatment, casually extending the invitation to Kimberly as well.

Kimberly smiled and declined. "I won't join you young folks in your adventures. I'll pass."

She looked at Amelia with a kind expression and said, "You've been working hard lately. You really should take some time to relax."

Patricia politely insisted a few more times, but Kimberly was firm in her refusal and got out of the car.

Amelia got out to help Kimberly, and Patricia quickly followed.

Patricia courteously escorted Kimberly into the hotel, then turned to Amelia and enthusiastically took her arm.

"Ms. Davis, I've been waiting for you for so long. You can't refuse me now," Patricia said with a slight pout.

Amelia smiled politely. Unable to resist Patricia's enthusiastic invitation, she had to accompany her to the spa.

Amelia often went to the spa with Rachel in Kasfee.

Patricia took Amelia to the most luxurious beauty spa in Tideport City, where Patricia was a regular and a top-tier member.

As soon as they walked in, the receptionist recognized Patricia and greeted her warmly.

Patricia led Amelia inside with a smile and asked, "Do you like the environment here? If not, we can go somewhere else."

Seeing how attentive Patricia was to Amelia, the staff quickly understood that Amelia was the VIP guest today.

Amelia nodded lightly. "I like it."

She wasn't familiar with Tideport City, so she didn't have any particular preferences.

The receptionist, all smiles, led Amelia and Patricia to the elevator and up to the second floor.

As they stepped out of the elevator, they ran into Angela, who was sitting in the lobby in spa attire, drinking water.

Several staff members were attending to her, massaging her shoulders and chatting with her.

Angela, now part of the Rodriguez family, was naturally treated with the utmost care by the staff of the spa.

Angela casually flipped through the membership brochure and asked, "What membership level is Patricia?"

Before the staff could answer, the receptionist with Patricia and Amelia cleared her throat.

Angela heard the noise, put her feet down from the coffee table, and looked a bit startled, quickly thinking if she had said anything wrong.

Silas was not present, and Angela still harbored some fear towards Patricia.

She slowly got up from her seat and respectfully greeted Patricia. "Mom, are you here for a spa too?"

Patricia, having seen Angela's inappropriate behavior, felt a deep-seated dislike.

However, Angela was married to Silas, and she was a member of the Rodriguez family to outsiders. Moreover, she was an influencer, so Patricia had to tolerate her despite her dislike.

"Yes," Patricia responded indifferently.

With a somewhat ingratiating smile, Angela walked over to Patricia and Amelia and said, "There are no private rooms available right now, but my turn is coming up. You and Ms. Davis can go first. I can wait."

Patricia gave Angela a cold glance and smiled, saying, "No need. I've already booked a room."

Then, Patricia turned to Amelia and said softly, "Ms. Davis, let's go."

Amelia nodded.

The receptionist immediately led Patricia and Amelia down the hallway.

Angela watched them leave, her expression stiffening, and asked the staff beside her, "Didn't you say there were no private rooms?"

The staff quickly explained, "Patricia is a top-tier member here and even holds some shares, so she has her private room."

Angela took a deep breath, feeling displeased. She asked, "How much does it cost to be a top-tier member?"

The staff held up one finger and replied, "One million dollars."

Angela's expression froze, and she sat back down, feeling frustrated.

She didn't have that much money at the moment.

Before their marriage, they had some savings, but Silas had splurged on an expensive, limited-edition sports car.

Moreover, Virgil had recently taken back the shares he had gifted Silas in a fit of anger.

Until Virgil calmed down, their finances were tight.

The staff knew Angela was competing with Patricia but lacked the funds.

Silas' background was no secret in Tideport City.

And Angela, being an influencer, often brought a lot of attention to the Rodriguez family online.

Once inside the private room, Amelia and Patricia changed into spa attire and lay down on the treatment beds.

Patricia sighed softly and began talking to Amelia about the Rodriguez family.

She expressed how Silas, having joined the family at an older age, was never close to her.

Silas grew more rebellious as he got older.

Being Silas's adoptive mother, Patricia struggled with disciplining him.

With Silas's qualifications, he could have married a well-mannered socialite, but he chose to be with an influencer.

Angela only showed some manners in front of the camera. Off-camera, she was unbearable.

Amelia listened quietly, not offering any opinions, and even felt somewhat sleepy from Patricia's monologue.

After venting, Patricia felt better but realized she might have made the Rodriguez family seem too complicated, potentially discouraging Amelia from being interested in Billy.

So she quickly added that Silas and Angela had formed their household after marriage and had less contact with the Rodriguez family. She then praised Billy.

Billy was indeed a rising star in Tideport City's business circle.

Amelia was still intrigued by his mention of AI development.

If this research could be applied to medicine, it would greatly benefit patients.

After the spa, Patricia walked out arm-in-arm with Amelia, growing fonder of her.

Amelia was quiet, sensible, and well-mannered. Her qualities would serve her well in any situation.

If Amelia and Billy got together, it would only benefit Billy in the long run.

However...

Patricia hesitated for a few seconds before asking, "Ms. Davis, are you and Mr. Hastings close?"
