Chapter 98 He Wanted to Remarry Amelia

Seeing Amelia's silence, Rachel knew that she had hit the nail on the head.

She glanced at the watch on the desk and said softly, "You and Dad can rest assured and go to Fondaniss. I will handle things here."

She vowed that Amber and Frederick would not be able to get back together.

The next day, Rachel canceled the morning meeting at Ascending Company and accompanied Amelia and Vincent to the airport.

Since Susan had been working for the Davis family for more than ten years and had no family of her own, she was naturally going with Amelia and Vincent to Fondaniss.

Frederick rarely attended the meetings at Ascending Company. This was because ever since the last time he saw Amelia at Ascending Company, he had a feeling that Rachel might bring Amelia in to work there one day.

He entered the meeting room and found Tina sitting in Rachel's seat.

Rachel had always valued Ascending Company.

After all, Ascending Company played a huge role in the transformation of Davis Group.

Taking his seat, he glanced at Tina.

"Where is Ms. Rachel?"

Tina was looking down at the documents and politely replied when she heard Frederick's question.

"Ms. Rachel went to the airport."

Upon hearing this, Frederick frowned.

"Airport? Is she on a business trip?"

Tina responded respectfully in a low voice, "No."

Frederick's expression became gloomy, as if he had remembered something, and he suddenly stood up from his seat.

Meanwhile, Felix had received the news that Amelia and Vincent were flying to Fondaniss that same morning and was about to enter the meeting room to inform Frederick. However, he saw that Frederick had already gotten up to leave.

Felix hurriedly said, "Mr. Hastings, I just received the news that Ms. Davis and Mr. Davis went to Fondaniss early this morning."

Frederick hurried into the elevator.

Felix quickly followed, and he also called the driver to bring the car directly to the entrance of Ascending Company.

Tina saw Frederick and Felix leaving together and took out her phone to send a text to Rachel.

Tina: [Mr. Hastings has left.]

Rachel was chatting with Amelia when her phone screen lit up. She glanced at the message and then put her phone away.

The flight to Fondaniss was ready for boarding. Rachel stood up from her seat and straightened Amelia's shirt collar.

"Once you arrive in Fondaniss, remember to call me," she said. "If you and Dad encounter any problems in Fondaniss, call me as well."

Amelia nodded solemnly.

At this moment, Rachel was not her usual serious and aloof self but rather incredibly gentle.

Amelia and Rachel hugged each other, and Rachel stroked Amelia's hair.

"Take care of yourself and take care of Dad," Rachel said.

Amelia nodded, her eyes becoming slightly red.

Throughout Amelia's life, she had rarely been separated from Rachel for more than a month.

This time, Amelia would spend at least three years in Fondaniss to complete her studies. Although Rachel would occasionally visit Fondaniss to see them, leaving the place where she had always lived made Amelia feel conflicted.

Daniel had already taken care of all the paperwork. He had changed his flight to match theirs as soon as he found out that Amelia and Vincent had decided to leave today.

Luckily, he made it.

"Rachel, rest assured, I will take good care of Amelia and Vincent in Fondaniss," Daniel assured her. "If they encounter any problems, I'll handle it," he added.

Rachel smiled and thanked him.

Daniel looked at Amelia tenderly and said, "It's what I should do."

After releasing Amelia, Rachel hugged Vincent briefly and then watched them leave.

Amelia turned around and waved goodbye to Rachel, accidentally tripping in the process.

Daniel quickly reached out to support her.

When Frederick arrived at the airport, he saw from a distance Daniel hugging Amelia. His eyes became gloomy, and he quickened his pace.

But Amelia and Daniel's figures quickly disappeared from his sight.

Felix shouted loudly, "Ms. Davis, please wait!"

Amelia was talking with Daniel, and the noisy airport environment masked Felix's voice.

Rachel heard the shout and looked back at Frederick, her gaze slightly ironic.

Frederick watched as Amelia disappeared, feeling instantly dejected. Rachel saw him about to approach and reached out to stop him. She said, "Mr. Hastings, you and Amelia have already divorced, and it was you who initially proposed the divorce."

Frederick's expression turned gloomy. Rachel glanced at him and took out a men's watch, offering it to Frederick. Frederick looked at the watch and was stunned. He had deliberately left this watch at Davis Manor some time ago. At that time, he and Amelia were already divorced, and he had no excuse to see her. So he intentionally left the watch to fabricate a reason to visit Davis Manor.

He stared at the watch, but did not reach out to take it.

Rachel glanced at Felix and handed the watch to him. "Mr. Hastings, if you still like Ms. Roberts, why bother Amelia? You lost your chance from the moment Amelia decided to sign the divorce papers. Daniel has already relieved her of the engagement. If you go to see her now, it will only embarrass both families and subject Amelia to criticism. Why would you do that?"

As Frederick listened to Rachel's words, his expression suddenly changed. Rachel looked at his solemn expression, withdrew her gaze, and walked past him.

Frederick stood in place and remained silent for a long time.

Felix stood aside quietly. Seeing Frederick's silence, he quietly asked, "Mr. Hastings, should I arrange a flight for you to Fondaniss?"

Frederick furrowed his brow slightly and finally shook his head, taking the watch from Felix's hand. "No need."

After saying that, he turned and left, reverting back to his usual cold and stern expression, as though the person who had rushed from Ascending Company to the airport just now was someone else entirely.

Felix sighed and followed quietly.

At Hastings Manor, Brittany had just returned from church. As she entered the house, Tom whispered to her, "Mrs. Hastings, Ms. has already left for Fondaniss earlier than expected. She took the morning flight today. Ms. Rachel Davis asked me to inform you."

Upon hearing this, Brittany's expression became gloomy. "Why did she leave so early? Wasn't she supposed to leave tomorrow?"

She had thought that Amelia and Vincent would only be leaving tomorrow, so Brittany timed her return to match their departure.

Tom looked down, hesitating to speak.

Seeing this, Brittany said, "If you have something to say, just say it."

Tom sighed and whispered, "Ms. Rachel Davis said that Ms. Amelia was originally very hesitant about going to Fondaniss, but last night when she went for a check-up, she ran into Mr. Hastings taking Ms. Roberts to the hospital.

"Ms. Amelia came back to Davis Manor that night and proposed the idea of leaving early this morning."

Hearing this, Brittany's expression turned serious.

"Prepare a car to take me to General Hospital."

Tom nodded and immediately had the driver bring the car into the yard.

Meanwhile, at General Hospital, Amber was laying on a hospital bed with her forehead wrapped in bandages.

Wendy sat by her bedside, discontentedly saying, "Jimmy is really crazy. This has nothing to do with you, yet he keeps shifting all the blame onto you. Amber, please don't sign any release forms. Make him go to jail!"

Amber didn't respond to Wendy's words; she kept thinking about last night when Frederick left.

Frederick said that it didn't matter anymore since they split up three years ago.

They were strangers now.

He asked that Amber not appear in front of him again to disturb his current life. He wanted to remarry Amelia.
