Chapter 253 Mr. Hastings, You Can Regret It All By Yourself.

Rachel did not quietly wait for Sebastian to answer her question.

After she threw out the question, she started the car and left the restaurant.

Sebastian never answered Rachel's question. He remained silent, his mind blank for a moment.

What was he thinking during those few seconds he paused?

Sebastian felt sorry for Clara. He always felt guilty toward her that night.

He only felt pity for Clara, without any feelings involved.

"Rachel." Sebastian opened his mouth but ultimately couldn't find a suitable answer.

Rachel also pulled the car over to the side of the road, looking ahead with a cold gaze and an icy tone. "Get out."

Sebastian was stunned for a moment, his expression slightly stiff. He hastily said, "Rachel, Clara won't affect our relationship."

Rachel glanced at him sideways, her eyes cold beyond measure.

She said, "Get out."

Sebastian changed his face slightly and knew it wasn't the right time to cling to her.

He took a deep breath and reached out to open the car door.

He said cautiously, "Then calm down. Call me when you get to the office."

Rachel didn't respond to him.

After Sebastian got out of the car, he closed the door.

The moment the door closed, Rachel hit the gas pedal and sped away.

Sebastian stood by the roadside, irritably scratching his head, feeling helpless.

When Frederick and Amelia came out of the restaurant, they only saw Rachel's car leaving.

Amelia sighed inwardly, feeling quite resentful.

Frederick and Sebastian indeed grew up together as good friends, and neither was a good person.

Amelia glanced at Frederick and then took Anna into her arms, turning to Vincent, "Mr. Hastings has a lot to do. Let's not bother him. Call the driver over."

Vincent nodded slightly, also worried about Rachel and Sebastian's situation.

Now that both Amelia's and Rachel's relationships were so troubled, Vincent felt deeply pained.

He took out his phone to call the driver, but Frederick spoke in a low tone, "Vincent, let me drive you."

Vincent looked at him hesitantly.

Frederick turned his gaze to Amelia, lowering his tone and attitude. "This matter has nothing to do with me. Is it fair to vent your anger on me?"

Amelia's eyes were cold, and she said, "You and Sebastian are both not good people."

Frederick raised an eyebrow, his deep blue eyes looking at Amelia with a hint of helplessness.

Seeing Amelia unmoved, Frederick could only turn his attention to Anna.

He softly asked, "Anna, do you want to go home in Uncle Frederick's car?"

Anna nodded obediently in Amelia's arms, then reached out to Frederick.

Seeing her little hand reaching out for a hug, Frederick softened his heart. He reached out and took Anna into his arms, his tone unconsciously softening as he spoke to Amelia. "Just take my car home. I promise not to interfere in Rachel and Sebastian's issues, and I promise not to help Sebastian."

"Mommy, let's take Uncle Frederick's car," Anna said sweetly, trying to please Amelia while in Frederick's arms.

Amelia felt melancholic seeing her daughter, who had quickly sided with Frederick after spending some time with him.

At the sight of this, Vincent put away his phone and said to Amelia, "The driver will take some time to come from the Davis Manor. Let's take Frederick's car."

The assistant drove the car to the restaurant entrance.

In the end, Amelia got into Frederick's car.

At the The Davis Manor.

After getting out of the car, Vincent took Anna from Frederick's arms. He coaxed, "Anna, let's go inside. I will make you some milk."

Vincent had noticed earlier in the car that Frederick kept glancing at Amelia, seemingly wanting to talk to her.

Hearing there was milk, Anna obediently followed Vincent into the yard of the Davis Manor.

As Amelia was about to step into the Davis Manor, Frederick reached out and grabbed her.

Frederick inquired, "Amelia, can we talk?"

His voice was low, and he held her hand tightly as if afraid she would shake him off.

His tone was gentle, a rare occurrence when speaking to Amelia.

Amelia stopped and looked at Frederick, asking, "What do you want to talk about?"

Frederick couldn't help but tighten his grip on her hand, looking at her with sincere eyes. He seriously said, "Let's remarry."

His voice was firm and serious.

Amelia's heart skipped a beat, her eyes almost unable to meet Frederick's burning blue gaze.

Amelia   didn't know what to say for a moment.

Seeing the hesitation in her eyes, Frederick spoke again seriously, "Don't worry. I'll treat Anna as my daughter. As for the past..."

Hearing Frederick mention Anna, Amelia, who had been at a loss, suddenly calmed down.

She spoke softly, interrupting Frederick. "I can't pretend not to care about what happened in the past. When we hadn't even finalized our divorce, you were already planning to have a child with Amber. How can I not care?"

"When did I plan to have a child with Amber?" His hoarse tone was filled with undisguised urgency.

Amelia looked at him quietly for a while, replying, "Three years ago, you accompanied Amber for a check-up. I was in the office next door. I heard your conversation."

Frederick frowned.

He had already forgotten what he and Amber had said during that check-up three years ago.

But nothing had happened between him and Amber.

He had always thought Amber had broken up and went abroad because of Brittany's threats.

He explained, "Three years ago, nothing happened between me and Amber..."

Amelia interrupted Frederick, "Mr. Hastings, whether something happened or not has nothing to do with me. I don't want to know your state of mind at that time either. Mr. Hastings, there's one thing you can't deny. Amber's return to Kasfee fueled your desire to divorce me."

Frederick tightened his heart, with countless thoughts clashing in his mind.

Amelia looked at him quietly. Seeing he couldn't deny her words, she smiled bitterly.

She added, "When the Davis Manor was at its most difficult, you chose to divorce me because your first love returned. How can I let go of these issues and remarry you?"

After saying that, Amelia shook off Frederick's hand and walked into the yard.

Frederick watched her back, his mind in chaos, completely at a loss.

He hurriedly said, "Amelia, I never intended to harm the Davis Manor."

Amelia didn't stop, continuing to walk inside.

Frederick took a deep breath, his tone hoarse, "Three years ago, I didn't handle the situation with Amber well. In my impulsiveness, I decided to divorce you, and I've always regretted it."

Amelia stopped and turned to look at Frederick.

Frederick took two steps forward, wanting to be closer to her.

Amelia looked at him quietly for a while, expressionless.

She said indifferently, "If I choose to remarry you, will you also tell Ms. Roberts later that it was an impulsive decision?"

Frederick's heart trembled.

A tear glistened at the corner of Amelia's eye. She firmly said, "Mr. Hastings, ever since I signed the divorce papers with you three years ago, I've never regretted it. You can regret it all by yourself."

Amelia forced a faint smile, but her words pierced Frederick's heart like a knife.

Frederick watched her smile, feeling like he couldn't take a full breath. His heart was aching, with his eyes involuntarily reddening.

Frederick felt defeated and powerless.
