Chapter 200 She Did Nothing Wrong at All

Frederick stared coldly at Amelia beneath him.

Her delicate face was flushed and her eyes were red with anger. She looked like she was about to cry.

However, he was flustered by her words.

At this moment, she was acting as if he was the one taking advantage of her.

Frederick didn't know how to deal with her.

He took a deep breath, but he felt like he couldn’t even breathe.

As Frederick was about to get up and leave, Amelia, who was lying stubbornly on the bed, reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning in to kiss him on the lips.

This time, Frederick didn't evade, and Amelia achieved her goal.

Frederick's body stiffened. Her lips were hot and soft.

He should have responded to her, but he thought she must have mistaken him for Jesse at that moment, so he wasn’t interested.

Amelia wasn't very good at kissing. It almost felt like she was gnawing on his lips.

Frederick looked down at her, his eyes cool.

Her hands slipped under his shirt impatiently, touching his muscles, and she said with satisfaction, "Your abs feel good. I like them."

Frederick's face darkened suddenly, involuntarily recalling the video Scott had posted in the group.

"Who do you like?" he asked, his eyes devoid of any hope.

"You." Amelia hugged him tighter. "I like you."

As she spoke, she opened her eyes and looked at him, her hazy eyes reflecting him.

Frederick's Adam's apple bobbed.

He had to admit that Amelia's gaze had finally left him unable to resist.

He wasn’t sure whether Amelia was referring to him or Jesse, but he chose to believe she was talking about him.

He reached out to tuck Amelia's stray hair behind her ear, then leaned in to capture her red lips.

When he kissed Amelia, her whole body seemed to boil.

Her dream had finally come true.

She felt like her hollow heart was being filled by Frederick.

The next morning, Amelia woke up to the glaring light outside the window and immediately closed her eyes reflexively.

She had a splitting headache, and her body felt like it was falling apart.

Last night's dream had just been too real.

In the dream, Frederick seemed to have gone mad.

No matter how she begged, he wouldn't let her go.

Amelia only remembered that her tears seemed to have dried up in the dream, and she almost fainted.

A sudden rush of heat hit her, and Amelia realized what it was. She opened her eyes abruptly.

She quickly scanned the surroundings, looking at the familiar yet unfamiliar room, her expression freezing.

It wasn't a dream after all!

Her expression froze, and her face went pale. She gently lifted the comforter, looked down, and found her body covered in red kiss marks.

She was stunned and stopped thinking for a moment.

Amelia thought what happened last night was a dream, so she had been very proactive throughout.

During the past three years, she had often dreamed of herself and Frederick doing that in her dreams.

But last night had been real.

Frederick had already woken up at some point.

Amelia didn’t hear any sound in the room. She saw a bag hanging at the foot of the bed with the logo of a women's clothing brand on it.

Amelia hastily picked up the shirt she had worn last night and put it on. As she was about to button it up, she realized that most of the buttons had been torn open.

Her expression froze as she thought of the madness of last night. Her cheeks flushed. She picked up the shirt, walked to the foot of the bed to pick up the shopping bag, and then entered the bathroom.

After cleaning up, she came out of the bathroom and dried her hair.

There were stains on the dark sheets. They seemed particularly clear to Amelia.

She bit her lip lightly and blushed.

Amelia had heard no other sounds in the room since she had gotten up. She thought Frederick would be in the study, so she walked out after hesitating for a moment.

However, Frederick was not in the study.

She searched around, confirmed that Frederick had already left, and felt inexplicably lonely.

She stood dazed in the spacious living room for a long time.

General Hospital.

Early in the morning, Frederick received a call from Tom. Tom said that Brittany had accidentally fallen from her hospital bed.

Brittany was very fragile now, and a slight mishap could lead to a fracture.

So Frederick hurried to the hospital without getting a chance to inform Amelia.

Frederick finally breathed a sigh of relief after checking all of Brittany's tests and confirming that nothing serious was wrong.

The weather was nice today. After Brittany was done with her examination, Frederick pushed her to the hospital backyard to take a walk and breathe some fresh air.

Although Brittany couldn't speak, she had a smile on her face. She looked like she was in good spirits.

"Frederick..." Amber didn't expect to encounter Frederick in the hospital backyard.

Frederick stopped in his tracks.

Brittany's face immediately darkened, and she forcefully slapped the wheelchair's armrest in protest.

Sensing Brittany's mood, Frederick pushed the wheelchair forward without pausing.

Amber, who was thick-skinned, walked up.

She talked to Brittany with a gentle smile as she walked. "Mrs. Hastings, have you been feeling better recently? I wanted to visit you before, but I didn't have the time. I didn't expect to meet you here today."

As Amber spoke, she noticed that the blanket draped over Brittany was askew, so she reached out to adjust it for her.

Brittany wanted to stop her, but due to her delayed reaction, she couldn't.

She gritted her teeth and pulled the blanket off.

Amber paused when she saw that. She didn’t get angry, she just bent down to pick up the blanket and draped it back over Brittany.

"Mrs. Hastings, it is cold in the morning, so you should be careful," she said as she gently covered Brittany again.

Brittany wanted to tell Amber to "get lost," but all that came out was a stern roar. She angrily pulled the blanket off again.

Amber heard Brittany's voice and paused, a hint of confusion and surprise flashing in her eyes.

"Mrs. Hastings..." Amber hesitated to speak.

Frederick's expression immediately turned cold. He said, "Brittany doesn't want to see you."

Amber bit her lip, her eyes showing a hint of grievance and innocence. "I'm sorry, Frederick, I didn't know Brittany's condition was so serious. I..."

Frederick's face turned sullen as he said, "You should leave now."

Amber hesitated, tears welling up in her eyes. She crouched down and picked up the blanket that Brittany had thrown on the ground, wanting to return it to her, but she was afraid Brittany would get angry, so she stood awkwardly to the side, tears swirling in her eyes.

Frederick's eyes were cold as he pushed the wheelchair past her. His gaze showed no hint of pity.

Amber stood in place, watching Frederick wheel Brittany away. She gripped the blanket tightly in her hand reluctantly.

For years, Amber had shown Brittany her gentle and generous side.

No matter how coldly she was treated, she always controlled her emotions.

Why did Brittany dislike her so much?

She hadn't done anything wrong at all.
