Chapter 434 Divorce Agreement

Catherine saw Cynthia looking totally crushed, and a smug grin spread across her face.

She taunted, "Mrs. Cynthia Kingsley, guess what? I'm pregnant again. Yesterday, Mrs. Madison Kingsley didn't come to the hospital just to see your son; she was here for my check-up. You've held onto this spot for years; it's time to let go. Just sign this divorce agreement..."

Before Catherine could finish, Cynthia cut her off and hurled the divorce papers right at her face.

Cynthia snapped, her eyes blazing with anger. "Sign it? In your dreams. As long as I'm here, you and your kid will always be a dirty little secret!"

Catherine's smile vanished. She picked up the document bag from the floor and put it back on the table.

Catherine spoke with a hint of menace, "If my status was really a secret, Mr. Harold Kingsley wouldn't have sent me to give you the divorce papers. Your son can't handle stress right now, can he? Cynthia, if you want to make a scene, I'd love to watch."

With that, Catherine turned to leave Dylan's hospital room. Cynthia's face twisted with rage. She lunged forward, grabbing Catherine's hair.

Catherine, being younger and stronger, reacted fast. As soon as Cynthia grabbed her hair, she yanked Cynthia's hair back hard.

They started brawling.

The medical staff heard the ruckus in Dylan's room and rushed in to break them up.

Catherine's hair was a mess, and she had a few scratches on her face.

Cynthia didn't look much better; she had scratches, had been kicked a few times, and her hair was all over the place.

Cynthia cursed, her voice seething with fury. "You bitch!"

Catherine, standing behind the nurse, was fixing her hair, completely ignoring Cynthia's outburst. She snorted and shot back, "You're not much better yourself."

After straightening herself up, Catherine gave Cynthia a cold, hard look. "You better sign the divorce papers, or things will get ugly," she warned icily.

Cynthia gritted her teeth and wanted to go at her again, but Catherine had already made a quick exit.

She was only in the early stages of pregnancy and, after the tussle with Cynthia, she felt somewhat unwell. For the baby's safety, she preferred not to stay there any longer.

Amelia took Dylan to the examination room for a check-up. After getting his blood drawn, Dylan sat on a nearby chair and asked softly, "Amelia, is there something you and my mom are hiding from me?" He watched her closely, trying to read her body language.

Usually, the medical staff would come straight to his room for check-ups. Now that Amelia had taken him to the examination room, Dylan couldn't help but feel suspicious about his father's secretary visiting his mom.

Amelia knew Dylan was a sensitive kid, and maybe Catherine's attitude earlier had already made him suspicious.

However, Amelia kept her cool, her gaze steady as she looked at Dylan and replied lightly, "Nope. You're overthinking it. Your main job now is to get better. The test results will be out in ten minutes; let's just wait a bit."

Seeing Amelia's gentle smile and relaxed demeanor, Dylan frowned. Was he overthinking? But earlier, he definitely felt Catherine's superior vibes toward him and his mother when she came to his room.

Even though Dylan hadn't spent much time in the country, he'd seen Catherine plenty of times since she was Harold's secretary. She'd always been respectful and polite to him before.

But today, she had this smug, victorious attitude.

Dylan took a deep breath, looked up at Amelia, and asked, "When can I get out of here? I've been stuck in this hospital for days."

Amelia replied calmly, "Once the test results are out, and if your nutrition and red blood cell levels are back to normal, we can start the discharge process. But even after you go home, you still need to take it easy and rest a lot."

Dylan nodded and went quiet.

After getting Dylan's test results, Amelia reviewed the data while walking with him toward the elevator.

So much time had passed; Cynthia and Catherine might have already finished their conversation.

Dylan and Amelia stood by the elevator, waiting, with a few others around them.

When the elevator doors opened, Amelia glanced up and saw it was going down.

Catherine was standing inside, with obvious scratches on her face. When she saw Dylan and Amelia, her expression stiffened, and she turned her face away to avoid being seen.

The people around Amelia and Dylan gradually entered the elevator, quickly pushing Catherine to the center and blocking their view.

Dylan frowned deeply, clearly noticing the injuries on Catherine's face.

The doors of another elevator opened, and Dylan immediately stepped inside. Amelia sighed and quickly followed.

Back in the hospital room, Cynthia was already being treated by a nurse. The scratches on her face were fewer than Catherine's, but her cheek looked very red, like she'd been slapped.

As she worried about how to hide the injuries from Dylan, he walked into the room, looking anxious.

"Mom!" Dylan called out.

Hearing Dylan's voice, Cynthia almost immediately turned her face away, instinctively avoiding him.

Dylan strode over, pulled her hand away, and frowned when he saw the marks on her face.

"Why did you fight with Catherine?" he asked.

Cynthia paused, her expression stiffening. She hesitated, thinking about how to respond when Dylan asked another question. "Mom, are you hiding something from me?"

Cynthia took a deep breath and immediately denied it. "No, why would I hide anything from you?"

Dylan frowned and noticed the document bag on the table, his expression turning cold.

As Cynthia realized and reached for the document bag, Dylan had already grabbed it.

He opened the bag and took out the agreement inside. When he saw the words "Divorce Agreement," his face instantly froze.
