Chapter 173 Anna Was Not Dylan's Child!
Although Dylan had explained many times that Anna was not his child, Cynthia never believed Dylan's words.
She just felt that Dylan didn't want to take back Anna's custody.
Cynthia asked, "If Anna is not your child, tell me who Anna's father is?"
Dylan fell silent for a moment.
Anna's father was a secret that Amelia had always been trying to hide.
He had already caused trouble for Amelia, so he naturally wouldn't reveal this secret.
"Mom, please don't ask anymore," Dylan said.
After hearing Dylan's answer, Cynthia became even more convinced in her heart that Anna was Dylan's child.
Cynthia said, "After Anna returns to the Kingsley family, she doesn't need you to raise her. I will help you take care of her and raise her. No matter what, the Kingsley family is a reputable family in Kasfee. If Anna is in our family, no one will believe those rumors about you in Fondaniss."
Although Cynthia no longer forces Dylan to go on blind dates, she still cannot accept Dylan's sexual orientation.
Anna's existence was evidence that proved Dylan was a normal man.
The Kingsleys were very eager to obtain Anna's custody.
Dylan looked at Cynthia's frantic appearance and felt a headache.
The Davises also knew that the Kingsleys would never give up Anna, whom they saw as saving Dylan's reputation, so the Davises were also on guard.
Madison and Cynthia were rejected several times when they visited the Davis Manor.
Madison was very angry and went straight to the General Hospital.
Upon arriving at the General Hospital, she went directly to Amelia's office.
Amelia was organizing patient data, and as soon as Madison entered, she snatched the data from Amelia's hands and threw it aside.
Madison said, "It's really hard to see you!"
Amelia refused to see the Kingsleys for half a month.
The young nurse who was talking to Amelia saw this scene and had no idea what was happening.
She was about to get angry, but when she saw that the person who came was Brittany's younger sister, she realized she couldn't afford to offend her. She got angry and squatted down to pick up the data.
Amelia remained calm and said in a quiet tone, "It's okay, just print another copy. You can go back to your work."
The nurse, seeing Amelia's calm demeanor, felt reassured and nodded before leaving Amelia's office.
Madison, with a cold face, pulled out a chair opposite Amelia and sat down, looking unfriendly.
Madison said, "No matter what, Anna has Dylan's blood in her. Although we don't have custody of her, we still have the right to visit. Why are you blocking us from seeing Anna? What do you mean?"
Amelia looked at Madison, who was angry, and smiled.
Amelia said, "Madison, Anna has no relation to the Kingsley family. I've explained this many times. You have no right to visit."
Madison took a deep breath, her gaze full of resentment as she looked at Amelia.
"Don't try to sever the relationship between Anna and the Kingsley family. Dylan is Anna's father." He doesn't want to fight you for custody of Anna because he's worried about the impact on Anna, who is still young. But with the terrible attitude of the Davisesr has shown us, don't expect me to be friendly to you either,"
As Madison spoke, she suddenly slammed the table in front of Amelia.
Amelia looked at her calmly, a hint of anger in her eyes.
Madison gritted her teeth inwardly and, standing up from her seat, walked directly to the door of Amelia's office, looking like she was about to make a scene.
Having witnessed Madison's tantrums before when she was with the Kingsley family, Amelia frowned and stood up as well. When Madison was about to speak, Amelia walked up to her and said softly,
"Madison, go ahead. Tell everyone that I secretly gave birth to a child, Anna, and won't let you visit her."
Upon hearing Amelia's words, Madison's expression involuntarily stiffened.
Amelia had completely guessed what she wanted to say.
Madison bit her lip inwardly, looking at Amelia with hatred. "Aren't you afraid of others speaking ill of you?"
Amelia's lips curved into a slight smile as she spoke softly, "Of course I'm afraid, but because Anna is not Dylan's child, I'm not afraid of any rumors you spread. When things escalate, I'll release Anna and Dylan's paternity test results to prove they have no relationship. By then, people will wonder why the Kingsleys are so insistent on taking someone else's child."
Madison's face suddenly changed.
"Are you threatening me?"
Amelia smiled lightly and gently said, "Madison, you're getting old. It was you who threatened me first. I'm just telling you that if you cause a scene here, there will be consequences."
Madison took a deep breath, her face full of hatred as she stared at Amelia.
Madison said, "By saying that, you've reminded me. I will have Dylan and Anna take a paternity test! If it turns out that Anna is not Dylan's child, the Kingsleys won't want Anna either."
Amelia's smile instantly disappeared from her face, and her expression suddenly became serious.
She stared coldly at Madison, with a hint of severity in her eyes.
"Are you sure Dylan can still have children in this generation?" She retorted Madison's words with a cold face.
Madison was so enraged by Amelia's words that she was almost out of breath.
"You!" Her hand trembled as she pointed at Amelia.
Amelia gave a cold smile and said,
"I promised Dylan to help him, but that doesn't mean you can insult me or my daughter Anna at will. Out of respect for Dylan, I didn't want to argue with you. Dylan has been having mental issues lately, and as his grandmother, you should be well aware. So I won't clarify things, and you shouldn't bother me either, or it will make Dylan completely collapse."
Dylan's state was already very unstable.
If his emotional state were exposed, he would become the subject of public discussion.
While homosexuality is common abroad, it is still seen as abnormal love by most people in the country.
At that time, Dylan would not only suffer from the pain of a breakup but also face criticism from some people in society.
Amelia said, "Madison, words can be like a double-edged sword. Do you want to kill your grandson, Dylan, with your own hands?"
Madison's face changed suddenly, and Amelia's words almost made her lose her balance.
She held onto the door frame tightly, looking at Amelia with a tense and shocked expression.
She couldn't imagine that the sharp-tongued Amelia standing before her now was the same person who used to stand in front of her, unable to even breathe loudly.
Madison tightly gripped the cane in her hand, and after calming down, she looked at Amelia with a heavy gaze and asked,
"Is Anna really not Dylan's child?"
