Chapter 154 He Was Jealous of the Person Amelia Liked When She Was Young
Frederick's warm breath sprayed on Amelia's cheeks when he spoke, and her ears quickly turned red, as if Frederick was activating all the hormones in her body at this moment.
Seeing that she didn't answer, Frederick wasn't in a hurry and just looked at her with a hot gaze.
Amelia's heart was beating wildly as if it was about to jump out of her throat.
She had no resistance to Frederick.
Amelia was a bit annoyed at her weakness. But she did want to relive the past happiness.
After waiting for a while and seeing that she still hadn't answered, Frederick leaned down to her ear and gently kissed her earlobe, saying, "Do you want to go to bed with me?"
His voice was low and magnetic. Amelia felt her body stiffen, and her expression was subtle.
She lightly bit her lip, about to answer Frederick, when her phone rang.
She suddenly woke up, pushed Frederick away, quickly got up from the sofa, and answered the phone.
It was Dylan calling.
She breathed a sigh of relief that Dylan called; otherwise, she might have been swayed by Frederick.
She answered the phone while walking outside.
"Dylan, do you need something?"
Her voice was soft, with a hint of nervousness.
After hearing her words, Frederick's eyes slightly turned sullen. He walked over quickly, grabbed Amelia, pressed her against the wall, and leaned down to kiss her.
Dylan's voice came into Amelia's ear. "My parents want to invite you to the Kingsley family and talk about the things of us."
After speaking, Dylan paused and waited for Amelia's response.
However, Frederick refused to let go of Amelia, and he kissed her aggressively.
Amelia couldn't help but hammer his shoulder and push him away. But Frederick, who was close to her, refused to let go.
Dylan, on the other end, didn't get a response from Amelia and heard some strange noises, asking, "Amelia, what are you doing?"
Amelia felt nervous and extremely embarrassed, but she saw a hint of amusement in Frederick's deep blue eyes, which were kissing her forcibly.
Seeing this, Amelia gritted her teeth and fiercely bit his lip.
Frederick winced in pain and let her go. Amelia finally had the chance to push him away fiercely.
This push almost exhausted all of Amelia's strength, and Frederick staggered back a few steps, then chuckled lowly.
"Are you afraid he'll find out?"
Frederick smirked and mouthed to Amelia.
Amelia gritted her teeth and glared at him fiercely.
Dylan seemed to hear the sound of a scuffle, sounding concerned.
"Amelia, what's wrong?"
Amelia gritted her teeth and responded, "I'm fine. A dog almost bit me."
After speaking, she glared at Frederick.
Frederick just raised an eyebrow, his expression showing no sign of displeasure. Instead, he seemed quite pleased.
Amelia bit her lip and entered the elevator with a cold face.
Frederick stood with his hands in his pockets and watched her, his stern face unreadable.
As the elevator doors closed, Amelia glanced at Frederick and quickly looked away.
The next morning, Amelia arrived at the hospital for work at the usual time.
She had just parked her car when she saw Frederick's car parked next to hers.
Amelia couldn't help but glance at Frederick's car. Seeing that no one was inside, she opened the door and got out.
She had just entered her office when a nurse walked in quietly and said, "I don't know if it's a problem with the medication. It seemed that the corner of his lips was swollen."
Amelia frowned at first and recalled all the medications she had prescribed for Frederick. Suddenly, she remembered she bit his lip in a struggle last night.
Thinking of this, a hint of embarrassment flashed in her eyes.
"I'll go check on him in a bit," Amelia said.
The nurse nodded.
Amelia sighed softly.
After the morning meeting, Amelia went to Frederick's ward.
She had just arrived at Frederick's ward door when she saw a nurse emerge from inside.
The nurse's expression was awkward, and she whispered to Amelia, "Mr. Hastings may no longer trust my skills, so he wouldn't let me give him an injection. Ms. Davis, could you please?"
Amelia nodded at the sound and stepped into Frederick's room.
The nurse had already hung up Frederick's IV bottles for the day, but she hadn't given him an injection.
Frederick was sitting on the bed, and when he saw Amelia come in, his expression didn't change much. He just naturally raised his hand, waiting for Amelia to give him the injection.
Amelia walked to the side of his bed and bent down to raise his hand. In a few seconds, she had inserted the needle for Frederick.
She adjusted him to a more comfortable position and then stood up to glance at him.
"Have you had breakfast?" Amelia asked.
Frederick glanced at Amelia, picked up the medical book she had left here yesterday, and said, "Not yet, but Vincent said he would bring it to me."
Hearing this, Amelia felt a bit unhappy.
Vincent's care for Frederick was almost surpassing that of his daughter, Amelia.
Frederick noticed Amelia's dissatisfaction, gave her a faint glance, and then focused on the book.
He had glanced through it before Amelia arrived and found the medical book particularly boring, while Amelia regarded it as light reading.
He flipped through a few pages and found that the disease marked by Amelia in the book was very similar to his mother's case.
"Are you researching uterine cancer?" Frederick asked.
Amelia heard this and took the book from Frederick's hand, saying calmly, "Yes, I have been researching it for a long time."
Frederick couldn't help but look at Amelia a few more times.
He had heard that Amelia lost her mother shortly after she was born, so Rachel and Vincent had always been very fond of her.
She had hardly experienced any hardships and had grown up in the pampering of the Davis Manor since she was a child.
Without a certain experience and sentiment, few people would choose to be a doctor.
A rich girl like Amelia, who had been pampered since childhood, would be even less likely to choose this profession.
"I'm curious why did you choose to be a doctor in the first place?" Frederick asked.
Amelia remained calm, glanced at Frederick lying on the bed, and said expressionlessly, "Out of love when I was young, I made a promise to an elder, so I persisted in joining this profession."
Frederick frowned at this and looked at Amelia with a deep gaze.
"Are you saying you fell in love with an older patient?" Frederick asked.
Amelia paused and couldn't help but roll her eyes at Frederick. "I fell in love with that elder's son!"
Frederick's eyes turned sullen slightly.
"So, did you end up together?" Frederick asked.
The teenage Amelia must have been madly in love with that person.
Thinking that the graceful Amelia also had such impulsive love in her youth, Frederick couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of the person Amelia liked in her youth.
