Chapter 183 Frederick's Heart Should Be Bleeding Now.

Frederick stepped out of the company, his eyes dark and obscure.

Paul had called the company's front desk, instructing them not to let Amber enter the company premises.

Amber was still filming.

She walked to the entrance of Frederick's private elevator, smiling brightly at the camera.

Amber said, "This is the legendary CEO's private elevator, while the employee elevator is over there, which is also very high-end. Now, follow my camera. Let's experience the difference between the CEO's private elevator and the regular elevator together."

After Amber finished speaking, she reached out to press the elevator button.

At that moment, the elevator attendant who was standing at the door immediately reached out to stop her.

The front desk staff also hurried over to intervene. "Sorry, Ms. Roberts, you’re not allowed to film here."

Amber's smile froze, but she quickly regained her smile. "Let's go to the employee elevator then."

The front desk staff blocked Amber's path with a serious expression. "Ms. Roberts, filming is prohibited at the company. Please leave."

Amber sighed, looking displeased at the staff. "I already spoke with Frederick earlier, and he agreed to let me film. You..."

As she started to get angry, several staff members carrying a shocked colleague rushed out of the employee elevator.

At the same time, the sound of an ambulance could be heard outside the Hastings Group office building.

Amelia quickly got out of the ambulance and headed straight into the Hastings Group building with her colleagues.

As Frederick's car pulled out of the garage, he saw Amelia, dressed in a white coat, rushing into the company with a stretcher.

His expression darkened, and he immediately told Paul to stop the car.

The staff saw the emergency medical personnel immediately place their colleague on the stretcher.

Amelia promptly began checking on him, discovering that he had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.

She immediately knelt on the stretcher to perform CPR.

The patient's colleague anxiously recounted the situation to Amelia.

Amelia exerted all her efforts to revitalize the patient, and soon, her forehead was covered in sweat.

"Get the AED from the car," she said.

Her colleagues immediately pushed the stretcher outside when they hard Amelia’s words.

Amelia continued to perform CPR on the patient on the stretcher.

Her focus was entirely on the patient. She hadn’t even noticed Frederick rushing into the company.

Frederick watched Amelia rescuing his employee on the stretcher, his eyes deep.

"What's going on?" he immediately asked the staff beside him.

The staff quickly said, "I don't know. He might have been too exhausted from the project."

Frederick furrowed his brows tightly and said in a deep voice, "No matter how important the project is, health comes first. You all go back to your positions. I'll go to the hospital."

After saying that, he noticed that Amber and her cameraman were still there. His eyes immediately turned sullen.

Frederick said, "Why haven't they left yet?"

Amber's expression stiffened when she heard that.

The front desk staff quickly responded, "I'll take them away right now ,Mr. Hastings."

In the end, Amber and her cameraman were escorted out of the Hastings Group by security personnel.

As they left, Paul had someone buy the equipment from Amber's cameraman and delete the videos they had recorded.

Amber got into her car.

The cameraman quickly approached them, a smug smile on his face. "My equipment is synced with my phone. The video I just recorded was backed up."

Amber had been regretting the lost footage, but when she heard the cameraman's words, she instantly perked up.

She took the cameraman's phone and found the segment in which she and Frederick were whispering. She was acted very naturally in it.

Although Frederick had a cold expression on his face, the detachment in his eyes was not very obvious.

With a bit of editing and some accompanying text, her fans wouldn't even notice Frederick's icy demeanor.

Amber said, "Use this video as the intro, then we'll go to the Hastings Group's branch to film the interior."

She smiled, unaware of the subtle change in the cameraman's expression.

In the ambulance, Amelia used the AED to save the patient.

Her colleagues worked with her, urgently treating the patient who was experiencing sudden a cardiac arrest. Only the crucial four minutes after the onset of the condition mattered; beyond ten minutes, the patient would suffer brain death.

Amelia and her colleagues remained vigilant throughout.

Three minutes later.

"He has a heartbeat!" a colleague said.

The patient's heartbeat had been restored, and Amelia and her colleagues breathed a sigh of relief.

When they arrived at the hospital, they immediately rushed the patient to the emergency room for treatment.

Fortunately, the patient's colleagues had noticed his discomfort and promptly dialed 911. The medical room at the Hastings Group had given them valuable time for treatment.

After coming out of the emergency room, Amelia finally took a moment to drink some water.

Amelia nodded when she heard that Frederick had visited the patient's room.

Frederick had always been very conscientious about work matters.

Since the incident involved an employee from the Hastings Group headquarters, it was only right that he visit.

After chatting with her colleagues for a while, Amelia returned to her office.

She had just sat down when Frederick walked to the door of her office, inquiring about the employee's condition.

Amelia said, "At present, his vital signs are stable, and he needs to be observed in the hospital for a few days. The patient went into shock due to prolonged high-intensity work and frequent late nights."

Amelia looked up at the man sitting across from her, speaking earnestly, "While work is important, health is important too. Whether it's you or your employees, you should prioritize your health. You shouldn’t neglect your well-being for work."

Amelia's voice was hoarse from speaking continuously in the emergency room.

She cleared her throat.

When Frederick saw that, he softly said, "You need to take care of yourself too."

Amelia paused for a moment, then nodded gently.

Frederick thought of the unpleasantness from the previous night as he saw her calm demeanor, so he stood up from his seat and said, "If anything happens to him, please inform me."

Amelia nodded.

Frederick walked to the door, then stopped and turned back to look at Amelia. "Where is Anna's bracelet?"

Amelia, who was holding a medical report, looked up at Frederick when she heard his question, calmly responding, "I took it off."

Frederick asked, "Did you throw it away?"

Amelia looked at him quietly, "Do you want it back?"

She didn't answer his question directly.

After a few seconds of silence, Frederick said, "Anna called me this morning saying the bracelet was missing. That's why I asked you about it. I didn't mean anything else by it."

Amelia nodded without much response.

Frederick pretended not to care and left Amelia's office.

Both parties appeared calm, but Paul was listening nervously.

Frederick had spent a lot of time and effort on that bracelet; he had revised many drafts to recreate an exact replica of Amelia's original bracelet.

He hadn’t expected Amelia to just throw it away after he gave it to her.

This was more upsetting than a failed business project.

Mr. Hastings' heart was probably bleeding now.
