Chapter 150 She Was Intentionally Seeking Revenge

Amelia inwardly sighed, though she didn't refuse Anna, her gaze shifted toward Paul.

"Paul," she spoke softly, but before she could finish her sentence, Paul's phone rang.

Paul understood Amelia's intention.

Frederick wanted to follow Anna's lead for the next step. If he dared to pick up the oatmeal bowl, Frederick could directly smash his tableware tomorrow.

Glancing at the caller ID on his phone, he immediately said to Frederick, "Mr. Hastings, Linda is calling. There might be some company matters, I'll head back to the company first."

Frederick replied in a deep voice, "Alright."

Amelia pursed her lips, unsure of what to say.

Vincent found an excuse to go to the restroom.

Seemingly intentional, Frederick showed Anna the back of his bruised hand.

Anna looked at Amelia again with a pleading expression.

"Mommy," she said again.

Amelia took a deep breath. She could only walk over and pick up the oatmeal bowl, feeding Frederick spoon by spoon.

There was no interaction between her and Frederick throughout, but Anna leaned on Frederick's sickbed asking if the oatmeal tasted good.

Frederick, of course, said it was delicious.

Anna smiled contentedly. "This oatmeal was ordered by Mommy, especially for you. My mommy's oatmeal is delicious too."

At the sound of this, Frederick looked up at Amelia, his eyes tinged with suspicion.

"Is that so?" he asked.

Remember, Amelia couldn't cook at all in the beginning.

To prove she wasn't lying, Anna nodded vigorously.

Frederick looked at Amelia. "When did you learn to cook?"

Amelia looked calm and replied, "After I divorced you."

Frederick was left feeling awkward by Amelia's words.

Looking at his gradually cooling expression, a slight smirk tugged at Amelia's lips.

She just wanted to make Frederick angry but forgot that Anna was currently very curious about many things.

This was the first time Anna had heard "Divorce".

She tilted her head and was unable to understand the meaning, so she looked at Amelia and Frederick.

"Mommy, what is a divorce?" Anna asked.

Amelia paused.

Frederick also hesitated. As he saw Anna's curious eyes, he also turned his gaze to Amelia.

He was curious to see how Amelia would explain this to the child.

Looking at Frederick with a hint of mockery in her eyes, Amelia calmly replied, "It means to separate."

With that, she fed the last spoon of oatmeal to Frederick, with a hint of revenge in her actions.

Frederick furrowed his brows.

Amelia displeased, glanced at him, then took the oatmeal bowl to the sink.

After washing the bowl, Anna had already climbed onto Frederick's bed.

Frederick cooperatively made room for Anna and helped her take off her shoes.

When Anna arrived, she brought a children's handbag.

After sitting on Frederick's bed, she took out some beautiful stickers from the handbag.

Sitting obediently on the sickbed, Anna earnestly said to Frederick, "It won't hurt after sticking them on."

Frederick nodded, raising his hand for Anna to stick the stickers.

When Vincent returned, he saw Anna sticking stickers on Frederick with a sweet expression.

Frederick patiently allowed her to stick the stickers wherever she pleased.

Just as Amelia was about to intervene, Vincent stopped her with a shake of his head.

Seeing this, Amelia refrained from stepping forward.

She sat on the nearby sofa and watched the interaction between Frederick and Anna, feeling a bit drowsy.

She had stayed by Frederick's side all night, barely getting any sleep. She had finally dozed off at his bedside early in the morning.

After sitting down for a while, drowsiness overcame her, and she leaned back on the sofa, drifting off to sleep.

Vincent met an old friend and chatted with him in the room for a while.

Upon seeing Amelia asleep, Frederick stepped down from the bed, took a blanket, covered Amelia, and then obediently lay back on the bed for Anna to continue sticking stickers on him.

After a brief nap, Amelia was awakened by footsteps.

Sebastian had heard about Frederick being hospitalized, so he rushed to the ward.

Seeing that Anna had covered Frederick's exposed arms and face with colorful stickers, he couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"What kind of look is this?" Sebastian said.

Amelia was awakened by Sebastian's voice and opened her eyes.

Frederick glanced at Amelia on the sofa, furrowed his brows, and then gave Sebastian a displeased look.

Sebastian, catching Frederick's gaze, paused, and then noticed Amelia sitting on the sofa.

"Amelia, I'm sorry for disturbing you." He greeted her.

Amelia shook her head gently. "It's okay."

As she was about to respond, she looked at Frederick, who was covered in stickers and hesitated.

Despite being covered in stickers by Anna, Frederick remained calm, showing his patience with the child.

Amelia's emotions were complicated.

But soon, she saw Anna holding more stickers and looking at Sebastian.

"Sebastian, I'll stick stickers on you too." Anna's voice was gentle, and Sebastian leaned in earnestly.

Taking a pink sticker, Anna directly placed it on Sebastian's forehead.

Perhaps feeling proud of her work, Anna clapped her hands after sticking the sticker.

Seeing Anna's obedient behavior, Sebastian immediately reached out to pick her up.

Anna and Sebastian were already familiar. Sebastian often went to the Davis Manor to discuss the wedding plans of him and Rachel with Vincent.

Usually, whenever he reached out, Anna would eagerly let him pick her up.

But this time, Anna directly pushed away his hand and crawled back to Frederick's side.

Worried that Anna might fall, Frederick protected the edge with his hand, and after Anna sat beside him, she began sticking stickers on Frederick's earlobes.

Seeing the harmonious relationship between Anna and Frederick, Sebastian couldn't help but glance at Amelia.

He wanted to see how Amelia would react.

However, Amelia remained calm, quietly observing the interaction between Frederick and Anna before walking to the cabinet to get Frederick's medication.

After preparing the medication, Amelia walked over to Frederick with a glass of water and handed it to him. "It's time to take your medicine."

As Frederick reached for the glass, a sticker on the back of his hand fell off.

Anna immediately held Frederick's hand. "Uncle Frederick, don't move."

Frederick raised an eyebrow, looked at Amelia, and said softly, "Please, Ms. Davis."

Seeing this, Amelia naturally placed the medicine in Frederick's mouth and then held the glass to his lips.

Upon witnessing Frederick being fed the medicine, Sebastian chuckled.

Suddenly being fed a mouthful of medicine, Frederick almost choked.

After swallowing it, a bitter taste spread in his mouth.

Amelia smiled softly and said gently, "Mr. Hastings, no need to be polite."

Frederick felt full of resentment, realizing that Amelia was retaliating against him.
