Chapter 369 Can I Hitch a Ride?

Hearing Frederick mention tonight, Amelia struggled momentarily. She declined with a poker face. "No. I'm not sleeping with you tonight."

Frederick was too outrageous last night, and Amelia still felt exhausted.

Frederick listened to her and chuckled softly. "Tonight, we'll just sleep."

Amelia cast a skeptical glance at Frederick, her expression filled with resentment. However, his amusement was evident as he smiled and extended a toothbrush toward Amelia.

"Brush your teeth first," he said. The toothbrush already had toothpaste on it, and the water temperature was just right.

Amelia took the toothbrush and signaled Frederick to put her down. However, Frederick had no intention of putting her down. "How can I brush my teeth if you're holding me?" she protested in dissatisfaction.

Seeing that she was indeed having difficulty, Frederick reluctantly put her down on the carpet, fetched her shoes from the room, and bent down to help her put them on.

Amelia put on her shoes and finally felt at ease to brush her teeth.

Frederick stayed by her side the whole time, treating her like a princes. After she finished brushing her teeth, he handed her a tissue to wipe her mouth and then a wrung-out hot towel.

Amelia accepted the towel with a grateful smile, washing her face before handing it back to him.

"Is Ms. Davis satisfied with my service?" Frederick asked, a playful glint in his eyes.

Amelia nodded. "Pretty good. I'll be sure to leave you a glowing review."

Frederick's smile widened as he casually slipped an arm around her waist. "So, Ms. Davis, how about a long-term night service? Enjoy wake-up service every day."

Amelia smiled back and declined. "No need. Your service is too luxurious; once in a while is enough."

As she spoke, she walked out of the bathroom, pulling Frederick's hand to check his watch. "It's so late already. Hurry up and take me back to the Davis Manor," she urged.

Her clothes were still at the Davis Manor, and if she rushed back now, she might be late for the conference.

She had planned to go back last night, but plans had changed.

Amelia walked out of the bedroom, and Frederick gently pulled her back, saying softly. "I've already sent Felix to get your clothes. Let's have breakfast first; there's still time."

As he spoke, Frederick draped a coat over Amelia's shoulders.

Amelia sighed in relief, then muttered as the coat fell on her. "I'm not that cold."

'It's just breakfast; why wear your coat?' She muttered.

However, Frederick insisted on putting the coat on her.

The nightgown which Amelia was wearing was with lace edges and a completely open back. It was a design Brittany had sent three years ago to spice up their relationship.

Frederick put the coat back on Amelia, helping her put her arms through the sleeves like a child would when dressing.

"Felix will be here soon. The way you looked just now, only I can see." Frederick said as he buttoned up the coat.

Amelia's gaze shifted downward, suddenly realizing that her nightgown carried a subtly suggestive implication. With this realization, she no longer resisted and allowed Frederick to button it up for her.

After making sure the buttons were secure, Frederick allowed Amelia to leave the room.

Frederick's coat was large, and on Amelia, it looked like a dress, just reaching below her thighs.

He suddenly thought that there might have been better ideas than letting Amelia wear his coat.

Amelia walked downstairs, and Felix happened to come in from outside. He looked up and saw Amelia, about to greet her, but his eyes first landed on her long, straight legs.

It was hard for any man not to be moved. Felix quickly looked away, not daring to stare.

Frederick approached Amelia and went downstairs with her.

Felix, with his head down, said. "Mr. Hastings, Ms. Davis' clothes are here."

Frederick nodded slightly, "Leave the clothes and wait for us in the car."

As soon as he finished speaking, a servant stepped forward to take the clothes from Felix.

"Thank you, Felix," Amelia said politely.

Felix's attitude became even more respectful. He replied, "It's no trouble, Ms. Davis, no need to thank me."

Felix then sensibly left the living room and went to the car to wait for Amelia and Frederick.

The servant brought the outfit to Amelia for inspection.

After confirming there were no issues, Amelia nodded lightly.

Frederick also checked it and then told the servant, "Put it in the upstairs dressing room."

The servant answered. "Yes, Mr. Hastings." Following Frederick's instructions, the servant took the outfit upstairs to hang it in the dressing room.

Frederick walked over to Amelia, naturally putting his arm around her waist and leading her to the dining room for breakfast.

After breakfast, the makeup artist and stylist Frederick had arranged for Amelia to arrive at Spring Villa. Once she was ready, they prepared to leave.

Frederick's car had just left Spring Villa when a red sports car suddenly cut in front of them, forcing them to stop.

Felix frowned, and upon seeing Rue in the red sports car, he was momentarily surprised. He looked into the rearview mirror and said. "Mr. Hastings, it's Ms. Jelena."

Frederick's brow furrowed, and he immediately looked at Amelia beside him, worried she might misunderstand.

Seeing this, Felix quickly said, "I'll handle it right away."

Amelia stared straight ahead at the red sports car. Seeing Felix about to get out, she said calmly. "No need to handle it."

Frederick, sitting beside Amelia, looked uneasy. He took her hand and explained. "Amelia, I have no contact with her. I don't know why she's here."

Amelia glanced at Frederick, then continued to look at Rue.

Rue, dressed in a blue gown, had clearly put effort into her appearance.

After stopping Frederick's car, she got out and walked over to his car. She went straight to the back seat, opened the door, and asked. "Mr. Hastings, can you give me a ride to..."

Before Rue could finish, she saw Amelia sitting next to Frederick. Her expression froze slightly. She greeted. "Ms. Davis, you're here too."

Amelia nodded lightly, her eyes on Rue's gown, then asked. "Ms. Jelena, did your car break down?"

Rue's expression was awkward and carried visible guilt. She replied, "Yes. My car broke down. Ms. Davis, can I hitch a ride? I promise to be quiet and not disturb you and Mr. Hastings."

Amelia didn't immediately agree. She shot Frederick a glance and then pressed. "Are you also going to the conference?"

Rue nodded, about to answer, when Frederick coldly interrupted. "Did the Jelena Group get an invitation to the conference?"
