Chapter 251 Their Wedding Might Have Already Been Settled Long Ago

When Vincent entered the private room, he saw Frederick meticulously taking care of Anna, and his feelings were quite complex.

During this period, Vincent had observed all of Frederick's actions.

Frederick would indeed make a good father.

If it weren't for the complicated relationship between him and Amber, Vincent wouldn't mind Frederick getting back together with Amelia.

After all, Frederick was Anna's father.

As Anna grew up, she needed her father by her side.

Unfortunately, the feelings between Frederick and Amber had never ended.

Amelia also cared a lot about Amber's presence.

Vincent was also worried that if Frederick found out the truth about the child, he might do something extreme.

Amelia would never hand over Anna's custody to Frederick.

If Frederick were to fight for custody, it would bring double the pain to Amelia.

Vincent sighed silently and sat down next to Rachel, asking, "How are the wedding preparations going with Sebastian?"

As soon as Vincent mentioned this topic, Sebastian quickly sat up straight, looking at Rachel with anticipation.

Rachel, calm as ever, took a sip of water and said lightly, "There have been too many things this year without time to prepare for the wedding. Since the wedding date hasn't been announced, we'll talk about it later."

Amelia looked up at Rachel upon hearing this.

Once Rachel made a decision, it was generally hard to change.

Rachel had previously mentioned planning the wedding for six months later. If there weren't any issues, she wouldn't easily change her mind.

Sebastian, hearing Rachel's words, looked dazed for a few seconds and gazed at Rachel with a bit of grievance, clearly not understanding why she suddenly changed her mind.

He said, "If you're busy, I can make time to prepare."

Rachel put down her cup and said , "After all, it's my wedding. I want to be involved. Let's talk about it next year."

A hint of unease flashed across Sebastian's eyes, but he still nodded and said gently, "As you wish."

Rachel nodded slightly and waved for the waiter to serve the dishes.

At that moment, Amelia's phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID. It was a call from Billy.

Amelia reached for her phone on the table.

Frederick instinctively reached out, saying, "Go ahead and take the call."

Amelia hesitated for a moment but handed Anna over to Frederick, saying softly, "I'll take a call."

Amelia got up from her seat.

Rachel noticed her expression change and asked casually, "Is it Mr. Rodriguez?"

Amelia nodded slightly, "Yes."

Rachel raised an eyebrow and glanced at Frederick, not asking further.

Frederick stiffened his body slightly upon hearing Amelia's response, and his brows furrowed almost imperceptibly.

He held Anna tighter, feeling a huge sense of crisis.

Frederick glanced at Anna in his arms, feeling anxious.

Anna looked up at Frederick, their eyes meeting, both seemingly abandoned.

Frederick felt a wave of bitterness.

Sebastian, for once, did not mock Frederick. He had lost his appetite, completely puzzled as to why Rachel wanted to postpone the wedding and even pushed it to next year.

Their relationship had been good recently, with no incidents.

Sebastian looked at Rachel with extreme grievance.

Rachel, noticing Sebastian's gaze, remained calm. She said, "If there's a problem, ask on the way back."

Sebastian sighed and replied, "Okay."

Amelia walked to the door of the private room and answered the call. "Hello, Mr. Rodriguez."

She spoke softly, and Billy's slightly apologetic voice came through. "Ms. Davis, I'm sorry. I heard from Patricia about her encounter with you at the mall yesterday. Because of my family, her personality is a bit odd. If Patricia said anything offensive, please forgive her."

Amelia hadn't taken yesterday's incident to heart.

Hearing Billy's apology, Amelia responded politely. "Mr. Rodriguez, you're too kind. Yesterday's incident is not a big deal. Never mind."

Billy said, "Patricia was indeed out of line and caused you trouble. When I return to Kasfee, I'll personally apologize to you."

Amelia raised an eyebrow and said, "Mr. Rodriguez, there's no need to be so polite."

As soon as she finished speaking, Frederick's low voice came from behind.

He said lightly, "The food is all here, and Anna is looking for you."

"Alright, I'll be right in," Amelia replied to Frederick.

Frederick glanced at her and turned back into the room.

Billy, hearing Frederick's voice, was silent for a few seconds. Just as Billy was about to speak again, Amelia's calm voice interrupted. "Mr. Rodriguez, I have to go now."

"Okay, talk to you next time," Billy responded gently.

As soon as he finished speaking, Amelia decisively hung up.

Billy looked at the ended call for a while, then smiled lightly and put away his phone.

He was somewhat surprised to learn that Amelia had a child. Still remembering Patricia's angry words on the phone, he realized Patricia must have lost her composure upon learning this in front of Amelia.

Patricia had been keen on setting him up with Amelia. Learning about Amelia's child must have turned her joy into anger.

Understanding Patricia, Billy called Amelia to apologize.

Unexpectedly, he heard Frederick's voice.

The fact that Frederick didn't mind Amelia having a child was surprising.

After putting away her phone, Amelia returned to the private room.

She sat back in her previous seat.

Anna immediately reached out her arms for a hug.

Amelia smiled gently and picked Anna up from the high chair.

Not having seen Amelia for half a month, Anna was especially eager to play with her today.

Anna refused to sit in the high chair even during the meal.

Sitting in Amelia's lap, it was hard for Amelia to pour water.

Frederick played the role of the doormat, pouring water for Amelia and making milk for Anna.

Throughout the meal, Frederick hardly ate anything.

Seeing this, Vincent put a piece of fish on Anna's plate and said to Frederick, "Frederick, you should eat something. Don't just take care of them and go hungry."

Frederick responded calmly, "Okay, Vincent."

Sebastian, lifting his head gloomily, said in a muffled tone, "Vincent, don't feel sorry for him. He's enjoying it, seizing the rare chance to show off."

If he and Rachel had such a cute daughter, their wedding might have already been settled long ago.
