Chapter 222 Who Told You I'm Dating an Influencer?

Billy immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards Amelia.

Silas was still fiercely arguing with Virgil.

Billy walked over, first checking on Amelia's condition. He positioned himself between Amelia and Silas, ensuring Silas wouldn't accidentally harm her again. His gestures were gentlemanly, keeping his hands respectfully away from Amelia's body.

He did not cause Amelia any discomfort.

Billy apologized, "Ms. Amelia Davis, I sincerely apologize. I'll have my mother take you to change into a new outfit."

To prevent unexpected situations, they had prepared clothing in the Rodriguez Mansion.

Amelia looked at the wine stains on her clothes and was about to refuse when Rachel stood up from her seat and agreed.

Rachel said, "I'll go with you."

Amelia nodded in agreement.

Patricia's expression changed when she saw Amelia affected by the situation. She had been patiently trying to calm Silas down, but now her expression turned displeased. She spat, "Silas, stop acting crazy and apologize immediately!"

Billy knew Silas's temper and that it was impossible to make him apologize now. He looked at Patricia and said, "You should take Ms. Amelia Davis upstairs to change her clothes."

"Alright." Patricia, was both angry and frustrated, giving Silas a glare before walking to Amelia's side with an apologetic expression. "Ms. Amelia Davis, I am truly sorry."

She sighed helplessly and then led Amelia and Rachel upstairs.

Angela was still in the dressing room, changing clothes. The necklace she had chosen to match her reception dress was missing. She had been looking for it for a while but couldn't find it, feeling puzzled.

"I remember I put the necklace here after trying it on," Angela muttered.

Amber softly said, "Don't worry. Let's look for it carefully. No one else has been here."

Angela paused, and a figure came to her mind.

Amelia had been here.

"Angela, hurry up! Silas is causing trouble in the main hall." A friend's anxious voice came from outside the door, snapping Angela out of her reverie, her expression stiffening.

In the hall were important guests. Despite her own dissatisfaction with Mrs. Rodriguez's arrangements, Angela didn't want Silas causing a scene there.

She had complained to Silas earlier but didn't want him causing trouble now.

Angela put aside the missing necklace and quickly left the dressing room.

Amber followed her out. As she reached the door, she noticed Angela's necklace had fallen in the corner.

When they had rushed out for the wedding ceremony earlier, the necklace must have slipped to the floor and been dragged near the carpet by Angela's wedding dress.

Amber bent down to pick up the necklace but then remembered Angela's suspicious expression earlier.

She pursed her lips and pushed the necklace completely under the carpet, then stood up and walked out of the dressing room.

Angela hurried to the inner hall and saw Billy talking to Amelia. From her angle, it looked like Billy's hand was on Amelia's shoulder, gently guiding her to Patricia.

Patricia was treating Amelia very kindly.

Angela recalled Amber saying Amelia had a powerful backer.

Could it be that Amelia's backer was Billy?

Angela took a deep breath, strode over, and seized Silas's arm. "Silas, what on earth are you doing? Even if things haven't been fair, causing a scene today isn't the answer. Wait until after the wedding to talk to Dad about it."

Virgil glanced coldly at Angela and snorted, "Don't call me that. I didn't accept your gift for changing the way you address me."

Virgil's public dismissal made Angela's face turn pale. She bit her lip and remained silent.

Seeing his wife treated this way only fueled Silas's fury, and he continued to make a scene.

Amelia changed into a beige suit upstairs, which, though modest in style, matched her temperament.

Patricia and Rachel were waiting outside.

Patricia kept apologizing to Rachel.

No matter what, Silas was part of the Rodriguez family. His behavior today surely left a bad impression on Rachel and Amelia.

Billy, still unmarried, couldn't afford to be influenced by Silas's actions. Patricia could only acknowledge that every family has its challenges. After all, she wasn't Silas's biological mother and couldn't meet his expectations no matter what she did.

Rachel listened quietly, occasionally offering words of comfort to Patricia.

Amelia came out after changing her clothes.

Patricia immediately took Amelia's hand and kept apologizing.

Amelia politely said it was fine.

They chatted as they walked downstairs.

Seeing Patricia's kind attitude towards Amelia, Angela remembered the first time Silas brought her to meet the Rodriguez family.

Patricia hadn't even spoken a word to her that day.

Patricia, eager to match Billy and Amelia, naturally led Amelia to Billy after bringing her downstairs.

Seeing this, Angela took a deep breath, feeling very unbalanced.

"Why is it okay for Billy but not for Silas? Billy can date social media influencers, but why can't Silas and I? Admittedly, Silas's background isn't spotless, and he's always been a thorn in Patricia's side. Are you just using this to cast him out of the Rodriguez family?" Angela's voice trembled with tears, her distress evident.

Silas had no idea Billy was also dating social media personalities, but hearing Angela's words, he believed she had solid evidence.

"Yeah. Why can Billy date social media personalities, but I can't?" Silas questioned.

Billy was about to speak to Amelia when he heard Angela and Silas mention him.

He gently adjusted his silver-framed glasses, a dangerous glint flashing in his eyes. Soon, his dark eyes were devoid of any emotion, and he asked coldly, "Who told you I was dating social media personalities?"

Angela's expression froze, and Silas turned his gaze to her.

Amber walked to Angela's side and gently tugged her arm.

Angela realized she had no evidence to prove Billy was dating Amelia.

Moreover, Amelia wasn't well-known, so she couldn't prove she was the social media personality.

She bit her lip, then suddenly thought of something and asked Amelia, "Ms. Amelia Davis, when you went to the restroom earlier, you passed by my dressing room. My necklace is missing. Did you see anyone else enter my dressing room?"

Given that the main hall was filled with business elites and prominent families, most of whom knew each other well, Amelia's unfamiliar presence might lead others to speculate about her connection to Billy and even suspect her of theft.
