Chapter 306 Deep Down, You Know How to Handle It

As soon as Sebastian spoke, everyone felt a wave of anxiety for him. They all watched Rachel's reaction closely, knowing she might just snap.

Clara just put some medicine on her forehead and left the medical room.

She thought about going to Sebastian, but after hearing what he said, she decided against it.

She knew that even ten sentences from her wouldn't have the same impact on Rachel as one from Sebastian.

She stopped and glanced at Rachel.

Amelia's face turned pale when she heard Sebastian. She quickly stepped in to block everyone's view of Rachel's changing expression and angrily shouted.

"Sebastian, you've crossed the line! When Clara was being bullied by her sister, you acted like you didn't know her in front of my sister, but behind her back, you arranged for Clara and that child to stay in a house under your name and even did a DNA test. You play one game in front of people and another behind their backs. Is it my sister's fault for being strong-willed? Since you did a DNA test, it proves you had sex with Clara! If that child is yours, are you planning to hide it from my sister and let her raise your and Clara's child?"

Amelia thought Rachel didn't want to bring up these embarrassing matters in front of everyone to save Sebastian's face.

But that didn't mean Sebastian could just blame Rachel.

She had never expected him to say such things.

Rachel snapped out of her daze and returned to her usual cold demeanor.

She pulled Amelia back to her side and looked at Sebastian with a mocking smile. "I'm strong-willed because I'm confident. Even if you got the Kingsley family fortune by luck, it doesn't hide the deep-seated inferiority in your heart. When you were young, you thought I looked down on you because you were an illegitimate child. Now you think I'm too strong-willed."

She then continued, "Clara sought your help, relied on you, and treated you like a savior. Your insecure self-esteem found great satisfaction in her. Do you think I can't see through it? You want to be her savior and also play the devoted lover in front of me. It's disgusting. Sebastian, someone like you doesn't deserve someone as strong-willed as me."

Rachel's words cut deep into Sebastian's insecurities.

After Sebastian took over the Kingsley family, no one dared to mention that he inherited the fortune because the true heir had an accident.

This was a sore spot for him, and now Rachel had brought it up in front of everyone, pushing their conflict further.

Everyone could see Rachel's intention. She wanted to escalate her conflict with Sebastian, leaving no room for reconciliation.

Sebastian's expression changed rapidly. Listening to the murmurs of the crowd, his anger grew.

Seeing Rachel's lofty demeanor, he suddenly raised his hand, but Frederick grabbed it.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

Frederick's low, warning voice sounded, gripping his wrist tightly, his eyes showing a hint of reprimand.

Sebastian, overwhelmed, calmed down but felt dizzy. The murmurs and Rachel's cold stare made his head throb. He shook off Frederick's hand and left, looking sad.

Clara tried to support him, but before she could get close, Sebastian roared, "Get lost!" Startled, Clara froze.

Rachel hadn't expected Sebastian to raise his hand against her. If not for Frederick, his slap might have landed. Her expression turned icy as she watched him leave. Then, with her usual arrogance, she walked out, Amelia quickly following.

Tina had the car ready at the entrance and opened the back door for Rachel, who got in without a word. Amelia tried to join her, but Rachel stopped her.

"I'm fine. Mr. Hastings came with you, and you need to take him back. Sebastian and I are done. Mr. Hastings needs to side with the Davis family."

Rachel signaled Tina to close the door, which she did immediately. Amelia watched the car drive off, feeling a mix of emotions.

Rachel, in the back seat, glanced at Amelia and then said softly, "Don't worry about me. Take Mr. Hastings back and be careful."

Tina drove off, leaving Sunshine Golf Manor.

Frederick approached Amelia, who was staring at the departing car. He said, "I've had the manager fire Clara. Sebastian's behavior was inappropriate. I'll find a way to make him apologize to Rachel."

Amelia refused, her tone firm. "Don't let him near my sister again."

Frederick nodded, "Alright, as you wish."

Amelia, seeing his gentle attitude, couldn't vent her anger at him. She opened the car door for him, and he got in. She then started the car, remaining silent the whole way.

Frederick, knowing Sebastian's actions were unforgivable, stayed quiet. When they reached Spring Villa, Amelia unbuckled her seatbelt, ready to leave, but Frederick grabbed her wrist.

"Are you planning to leave me here?" he asked.

Amelia looked at her wrist and was about to speak when Frederick continued, "Amelia, I've always been neutral about the issues between Sebastian and Rachel. If you take it out on me, it's really unfair."

Hearing his words and seeing his serious expression, Amelia paused and then said softly, "It's not about taking it out on you. I just realized you actually know how to handle such situations."
