Chapter 152 She Fell in Love with Two Men at Once, What a Fickle Woman!
Frederick's voice was cold and deep.
Amber's body stiffened as she leaned in.
Amelia glanced lightly at Frederick with a displeased face, then turned and walked out of the ward, saying,
"Since Ms. Roberts is here with you, it's better for you not to leave the hospital."
Frederick glanced at Amelia sideways with a cold gaze.
Amelia had already withdrawn her gaze and left the ward directly.
As Amber watched Amelia's departing figure, her face slightly changed. However, she quickly regained her composure and looked at Frederick with a smile.
"Frederick, I've prepared the oatmeal porridge you used to love."
"Get lost." Before Amber could finish her sentence, Frederick's angry words interrupted her.
She hesitated for a moment, but she still placed the oatmeal porridge in the side cabinet for him and left.
Frederick changed out of his hospital gown, put on his clothes from the wardrobe, and walked out of the ward with a stern face.
Paul happened to walk out of the elevator and saw Frederick not wearing a hospital gown, so he hastened his steps over.
"Mr. Hastings, you should stay here tonight."
Frederick didn't respond to him and just said coldly, "Throw away the meal box in the ward."
Upon hearing this, Paul nodded and immediately went to Frederick's ward.
As soon as he entered, he saw a pink meal box with Amber carefully preparing nutritious oatmeal porridge inside.
He picked up the meal box and casually threw it into the communal trash can outside the ward.
Frederick had already gone downstairs and sat in the back seat.
Paul's car was parked next to Amelia's car.
Amelia changed out of her work clothes and went downstairs. Just as she stepped out of the elevator, Daniel's call came in.
She glanced at the caller ID, a slight smile tugging at her lips.
She answered, "Daniel."
Her soft voice and smiling face deeply pierced Frederick's eyes.
As she talked to Daniel, she opened the car door and sat inside.
After Daniel returned to Fondaniss, he went to meet the girl his mother had arranged for him.
Amelia raised an eyebrow lightly and smiled, saying,
"Do you like her?"
Daniel was silent for a few seconds, then replied to Amelia, "She's my type. The first impression of her is good, but we still need to spend time together."
Amelia nodded lightly at his words. "As long as you like her."
Daniel didn't want to continue the conversation with Amelia.
"After Anna returned to the country, is she adapting well? Has she missed me recently?"
Amelia smiled and replied, "Of course she has."
In the car next door, Frederick sat in the back seat with a cold and deep expression.
He glanced at the time, his face gloomy.
He thought Amelia had broken up with Daniel some time ago, so she went to meet Dylan's parents.
Unexpectedly, Amelia was still secretly in contact with Daniel.
He couldn't hear Daniel's conversation, but Amelia's responses and demeanor made it clear that they were still involved.
Frederick, with a cold face, felt inexplicably angry, even though he was not the one betrayed.
Paul came out of the elevator and greeted Amelia. "Ms. Davis."
Amelia nodded lightly and smiled at Paul in response.
Paul smiled back and then opened the car door to get in.
As he bent down to enter the driver's seat, he sensed that Frederick, sitting in the back seat, seemed to be in a bad mood.
The atmosphere was so tense.
Paul was very puzzled that Amelia and Frederick could have a conflict in just a few minutes.
The next moment, Frederick, in the back seat, said coldly, "What are you waiting for? Drive!"
Upon hearing this, Paul immediately started the car and drove off.
At this moment, Amelia ended her call with Daniel.
As she started the car, she glanced sideways and saw Frederick sitting in the back seat of the car next to hers.
As the two cars passed each other, Amelia saw Frederick's unbelievably handsome but cold face.
She paused for a moment, thought carefully, and realized that she hadn't done anything to make him angry, so she drove away feeling at ease.
Amelia returned to the Davis Manor.
Vincent had prepared dinner. When he saw Amelia return, he brought out a thermal lunch box.
"Brittany doesn't know that Frederick is in the hospital so that no one will bring him dinner. Paul can bring him some, probably from outside restaurants. It's more reassuring to eat food made at home than outside. After you finish your meal, take it to Frederick."
Amelia opened the thermos and looked inside.
She didn't know that Frederick had thrown away the nutritious oatmeal porridge Amber had brought, so she replied softly, "Amber just brought him the nutritious oatmeal porridge to the ward."
Vincent frowned slightly at her words.
Thinking of Frederick's attitude toward Anna in the afternoon, he felt guilty.
Frederick treated Anna so well without knowing she was his daughter. If he had known she was his child, he would probably have treated her even more lovingly.
Although Anna had many favors now, she would eventually seek her father Frederick's love as she grew up.
As a father, Vincent felt that they shouldn't deprive Anna of the right to feel the love of her father, Frederick.
Vincent's oatmeal porridge looked very delicious and fragrant, and Amelia was a bit tempted.
She glanced at the table, where there was no oatmeal porridge. Clearly, the oatmeal porridge in the thermos had been specially prepared by Vincent for Frederick.
Amelia pursed her lips.
"Dad, I might as well have some."
Vincent looked at Amelia indulgently and smiled. "If you want to have some, go ahead."
Amelia smiled happily at his words.
At that moment, Vincent's phone rang.
He took a look at the caller ID. It was a call from Paul.
When Vincent visited the Hastings Group some time ago, Paul left his number, saying that if Vincent visited again, he could call him first to avoid making a wasted trip if Frederick was out.
Vincent looked a bit puzzled but still answered the call.
Paul's voice sounded a bit strained.
"Vincent, it's Paul. Mr. Hastings just returned from the hospital to the Pearl Building. He hasn't had dinner yet. I ordered oatmeal porridge from Starlight Diner for him, but it seems it's not to his liking. I thought since Mr. Hastings has always liked the meals you cook, that's why I called you."
Amelia was about to scoop the oatmeal porridge from the kitchen when Vincent directly closed the lid of the meal box and pressed his hand on top of it.
Amelia was puzzled.
Soon, Vincent replied to Paul,
"Perfect timing. I've also cooked oatmeal porridge for Frederick here. I'll have Amelia bring it over to him right away."
Amelia paused for a moment, realizing that she wouldn't be able to taste the oatmeal porridge Vincent had cooked this time.
