Chapter 410 The Little Secret Between Father and Daughter

In Amelia's bedroom, Anna was the first to wake up. She opened her eyes and saw that Amelia was still asleep. Lying quietly in her mother’s embrace, she waited patiently, but a feeling of restlessness began to creep in.

Bored, Anna glanced at the large hand draped over her and mischievously decided to play with Frederick’s fingers, moving them back and forth.

Frederick felt a small hand holding his fingers, opened his eyes, and saw that Anna was already awake and playing with his hand.

He smiled slightly and grabbed Anna's small hand. Her hand was so tiny that it was completely enveloped by his palm.

Surprised, Anna turned to look at him, her voice an awed whisper. "Uncle Frederick, you're awake?"

Frederick nodded, released her hand, and rubbed her little head. "Let's get up," he whispered to Anna.

Anna nodded obediently, then quietly got up and slipped out from under the comforter.

Frederick also got up and then went around to help Anna put on her shoes.

After putting on her shoes, Anna sensibly went into the bathroom.

Frederick followed her in, squeezed toothpaste on her toothbrush for her, and helped her brush her teeth.

Anna tilted her head up, her eyes staring intently at Frederick.

Frederick bent down to brush her teeth, and she cooperated the whole time.

Seeing Anna being so well-behaved, Frederick felt his heart melt.

By the time they had finished brushing their teeth, Amelia had also woken up. She laid in bed watching Frederick dress Anna.

Although Frederick's movements in tying Anna's hair were not very skillful, he had improved a lot compared to yesterday. He was able to tie Anna's hair properly.

Anna saw Amelia lying in bed with her eyes open, watching them. She smiled and said to Frederick, "Mommy is awake."

Frederick looked up in Amelia's direction.Smiling, he said gently. "I've already put toothpaste on your toothbrush for you. Get up and brush your teeth."

"Okay," Amelia responded to Frederick and then got out of bed.

Only then did she see that her slippers were neatly placed by the bed, obviously arranged by Frederick.

She smiled slightly, feeling a warmth spreading in her heart. Being taken care of so thoroughly made her feel very comfortable.

Amelia put on her slippers and went to the sink.

Anna and Frederick had already freshened up and gotten ready. However, Frederick was still wearing Amelia's oversized dress.

He didn't have any extra clothes at Amelia's place and was waiting for Felix to bring him some clothes.

Hearing the sound of a car engine outside the window, Frederick walked to the window. He looked out, seeing Felix entering the Davis Manor. He then said to Anna. "Anna, can you go get my clothes?"

"Sure." Anna agreed to Frederick's request almost without hesitation.

As Anna walked out of the bedroom, she didn't forget to remind Frederick seriously. "Uncle Frederick, wait here."

Frederick couldn't help but smile at her serious demeanor. "Okay."

Felix walked into the house with Frederick's clothes.

Susan was tidying up downstairs. When she saw Felix, she put down her work and was about to greet him when Anna's voice came from the stairs. "Mr. Cox, leave it to me."

Anna spoke as she walked down the stairs, her steps slow, pausing at each step.

Seeing this, Felix quickly said. "It's okay. I can take it up."

Anna shook her head firmly, "I'll take it up for Uncle Frederick." As she spoke, she reached out her small hand to Felix.

Frederick was still wearing Amelia's dress, and Anna knew that Frederick couldn't be seen like that by others, or they would laugh at Uncle Frederick.

Anna thought, 'Only I and Mommy can laugh at Uncle Frederick.'

Seeing the determination in Anna's eyes, Felix saw a bit of Frederick in her. He said no more, giving the garment bag to Anna.

Frederick's clothes were almost as long as Anna was tall, and she had trouble lifting them.

Susan wanted to help, but Anna shook her head and refused.

She took a few steps up the stairs, then stopped and turned to instruct Susan and Felix seriously. "You can't come up."

Felix nodded lightly, "Okay."

Susan also smiled helplessly. Fortunately, the clothes Felix brought were covered with a protective cover, otherwise Anna dragging them up the stairs would have made them gather dust from the Davis Manor's steps.

Even though Anna was dragging the garment bag and not carrying it, she was still exhausted after climbing the stairs.

She panted heavily, saw Felix and Susan still standing at the bottom of the stairs, and seriously reminded them again. "Don't come up."

Susan and Felix answered her simultaneously. "We won't."

After getting their response, Anna felt relieved and dragged the clothes into Amelia's bedroom.

She pushed open the bedroom door and handed the garment bag to Frederick. "Uncle Frederick, I got your clothes," Anna grinned.

Amelia looked at the garment bag in Anna's hand and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

Frederick's clothes were almost entirely dragged on the ground by her, and given his severe cleanliness, he probably wouldn't have worn them.

"Anna..."

Just as Amelia was about to speak, Frederick had already taken the garment bag from Anna's hand and picked her up from the ground. "Anna, my sweetie, you're so amazing," he praised.

Anna beamed, tightly hugging Frederick's neck. Covering her small mouth with one hand, whispering in Frederick's ear.

Amelia watched them from the side.

After Anna whispered something, Frederick almost immediately agreed. "Okay!"

Seeing how these two had developed to the point of whispering secrets after just a short time together, Amelia couldn't help but feel a bit speechless.

Even so, she didn't ask what their secret was. She just rubbed Anna's head and said, softly, "Let's get you dressed too."

Anna nodded and opened her arms to Amelia.

Amelia took her in her arms, then looked up at Frederick and said. "Check if your clothes are dirty."

Frederick glanced at the clothes Anna had brought in and said gently, "They're wrapped in the garment bag. It's fine."

Amelia nodded slightly, then took Anna into the dressing room. After changing Anna's clothes, she also changed her own.

After they came out of the dressing room, Frederick went in to change.

Although Frederick's clothes were in a garment bag, the trousers still had a bit of dirt on them. In the past, he would have requested that they be changed immediately, but now he just patted off the dust and continued to put on the pants.

Frederick thought, 'It's the first time my daughter has helped me with something; how can I not wear this outfit?'
